This is my favorite hang out when I go for Vietnamese food. 5 stars for service. We were greeted at the door by the owner. We get our drink and 3 color drink within 2 minutes. 5 stars for our favorite appetizers, spring rolls and eggrolls. The springrolls are so fresh with plenty of shrimp. They go so well with the peanut sauce. I could smell the freshness of the crushed peanuts. The eggrolls dipped in the fish sauce is just right. They were crispy outside and tender inside. I could see the meat and some exotic black fungus. 5 stars for the entrees, Phở Combo and Bbh. The phở is rich and flavorful. There were plenty of rare steak and tasty flank. The Bbh is very deep flavored as it should be. The tender beef shank cooked for a long time in a secret sauce is a wonder. It is rich and very deep flavored but not greasy. I could smell the freshness of the lemongrass, an expensive spice. It was a very enjoyable experience for my family. I definitely come back

I found this place through the Unilocal app and noticed the high Unilocal ratings. I was not disappointed. I am a soup cook, meaning that I love making soup, drinking soup, and dining out for soup. I am always in search of good soup. In this particular case, I am talking about phở. Vietnamese food is our(me and my husband’s) go to cuisine whenever we want to eat good, homey, natural, and filling food that’s affordable. Phở, summer rolls, spring/egg rolls, lemongrass pork chop over rice, banh mi — we devour it! So, I can say that I’ve been to my fair share of Vietnamese restaurants. Based on my varied dining experiences in Vietnamese restaurants, I would have to say that this is the closest thing to gourmet Vietnamese food that I’ve come across in this country. The restaurant is truly a hidden gem. I had trouble finding it and had to circle around the block twice and call the restaurant for help in finding the place. Once inside, you are surrounded by these ubiquitous paper lanterns of various colors and sizes. Our waitress was the only one there but super energetic and ready to please. She had a good attitude and tried her best to accommodate me and my toddler daughter. Now onto the food… the phở broth had a great depth of flavor and a little something extra in it. The broth was savory but not overpowered by any one ingredient, and the bowl contained good cuts of various cuts of beef. The egg rolls were smaller than most places and had a uniqueness about them. The taste definitely made up for their size and affirmed their gourmet goodness. They have a $ 15 minimum for credit card. So, I decided to order a summer roll to go. Again, there was just a little extra something in it that made it tastier than most other places. I just think the owners really know how to cook and serve extraordinary food. It’s been 10 days since I came here, and I was thinking about their phở today. I live in Watertown, and only go down that way when I visit my folks in Malden. Till then…

I got Phở here and I was pretty disappointed. I’m not a «Phở Snob» or anything, and maybe I was there on an off night or something since everyone else had a great experience here, but it was pretty mediocre — it just didn’t taste good.

I got the Mi Bo Kho for delivery. Very good. Delivered fast and food was hot. I’d eat there again.

I haven’t been here since they changed to new management and changed the name. The place itself has very confusing décor, what with the random disco balls, happy birthday decorations, Christmas lights and fake palm trees. However, I was very pleased w the food and service. Friendly waitress, food came out fast and was pretty decent. Would come back

It was very tasty, especially for the price. The service was iffy, and the place was pretty dead, but the waitresses were very enthusiastic when they were paying attention. The food came at an awesome speed, and the portion was very nice. The outside is sketchy looking, but the inside is minimalist and quaint, and they have two beers for $ 3, which is great for the area. Will be back again.

This is probably the only Vietnamese place that delivers within the city. As exciting as this type of service is and despite how many times I’ve ordered from here, I can honestly say that I have eaten almost everything possible off of their menu. From their phở, salads, appetizers, rice and noodles. It’s seriously not that great. Quality AND quantity is lacking. But I will keep giving them my business, because they deliver. And that’s golden.

The Bun Rieu is better than any other phở place that I have gone to. The Bun Bo Hue is also very flavorful. Lots of specialty noodle soup options here, and definitely done better than alotta other places. I also tried their phở and it’s pretty tasty. Overall I stick with the noodle soups and they turn out great every time. I also like the Banh Hoi, where they provide the meat and veggies, and I wrap my own summer rolls. Servers are not too talkative, but I come here for the food and not the chit chat.

Still going to this lovely restaurant frequently, my mom loves their big bowl of vegetable noodle soup. Comes with lime and bean sprouts to garnish :) great service, they brought us hot tea first thing! I’m so glad I discovered this place.

Don’t really get what the hype is here… Their phở might very well be delicious but we were in the mood for something else and the food were mediocre at best. Too much modifications/adaptation, the food tasted thrown together and nothing like they’re supposed to. Curiosity wasn’t paid off :(

LOVETHISPLACE. I work down the street and I find myself here… At least once a week, sometimes more during winter =) This place is a family run restaurant with a very authentic, home cooked feel. I’ve been to my fair share of Vietnamese restaurants around(Several places in Malden, Quincy, Chinatown) and I have to say… This is probably my favorite for so many reasons. Everyone is so friendly here, the cook even waves at me and my bf when we stop by. Service is so fast, it’s usually about a 10 minute wait time, less sometimes. The prices are soooo reasonable, you can get so much for under $ 10 a person. Definitely a neighborhood favorite for me! If you need some amazing Vietnamese comfort food, this is the place!

Great food, great chicken phở, magnificent spring rolls. Get extra peanut sauce. Worth the hassle parking.. seriously, you need to go here, you just don’t know it yet!

This is exactly what we hunted for! Simple décor and humble place with good food at great prices. The service isn’t bad like some reviews may indicate. American style service isn’t usually the norm in authentic Viet places; be prepared for the cultural differences in how service is handled. They’re not chatty or check in but if you need something, they respond. May seem rude or unfriendly by American standards but it’s culturally different service style.

Great food at a great value. We got spring rolls, chicken wings, seafood phở, steamed dumplings, yellow noodle lo mein with chicken. Came to $ 30.80. Highly recommend!

I love it here! I probably eat here 3 times a week. I am a vegetarian and there are many options for me. The service is excellent and the food is always ready quickly and it’s delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone! My favorite dishes are the vegetarian phở with tofu and the sweet and sour soup with tofu.

Just got home from Kien Giang Restaurant and I feel compelled to warn my fellow diners and phở lovers to stay far away. This place is a joke at best. My guy and I usually go to Saigon Noodles in Malden or Phở Minh Ky in Lynn for phở but we were in the immediate area and figured we’d give this place a try. Big mistake. There’s minimal parking(5 spots out front) but we won’t discredit the restaurant for that. Let me tell you, the service was horrendous. Horrendous. I’ve been to plenty of restaurants where the service is bad but tolerable, but this was ridiculous. Our server didn’t say hi or thank you or you’re welcome or anything except for«yup» when we gave her our order. We’re polite people and didn’t want to be rude in return but we were so disappointed, disgusted even. We were the only guests in there and she couldn’t even be bothered to fill our waters or look our way. Oh, I’m sorry we bothered you by going in. We ordered the fried eggs rolls which were undercooked(how do you mess up fried egg rolls?!) and the beef phở was super bland and not comparable to phở places I’ve been. Only things they get credit for: the phở was hot and the bean sprouts and limes were fresh. Woo hoo! If you want good phở and decent service don’t go here. It was BYFAR the worst service I’ve had in a long time. If the food made up for it I could possibly overlook everything else but it was a 3 out of 10 at best. Thank goodness there are better options close by.

This was the first stop on my North of Boston phở quest and I was thoroughly impressed, well mostly. I ordered the Bun Rieu and the spring rolls. My DC ordered the pork chop rice plate and the egg rolls. She was very disappointed because her pork chops were extremely thin and small. The egg rolls were also pretty tiny. She said the flavors were good though. My spring rolls were pretty small too, but they tasted good. The soup was probably one of the best bowls of soup I have eaten in my life. I still dream about it. I will be back for the soup. That alone gives this place five stars, but i had to take one off because of the skimpy portions of everything else.

Loved the phở ga. Lots of different veggies in it than I usually get from the places I go for lunch in Chelmsford. Only complaint was the service was slow, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. But I’m on no rush, so I can forgive.
