not a regular fast food restaurant. service are great and food are awesome. they have server bring you the food and also give you some little desert whe you are ready. great place to hang out for lunch time.

I had dinner here two nights ago after being told by a friend how good the clam chowder is, and it was quite good. I grew up in New England, the world’s finest clam chowder is served there, and this clam chowder holds up to the standard. I order a full bowl and ate it with plenty of crackers, and it was one of the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. I had fish and chips also and the fish was good, but clearly the clam chowder is what they do best at Ivars.

I had the 3 piece alaskan halibut ‘n chips. It was delicious. The service is amazing, they are very friendly and customer service oriented. The food came out quickly, and it was delivered to my table. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a good, quick place to eat for lunch.

Called ahead for our party of 20. Table was set, server was so friendly and efficient delivering our orders. Clams & fries, halibut & fries, grilled halibut plates, clam chowder bread bowls and calamari — crispy, hot and so tasty.

Love this particular Ivars and their friendly staff. I always call in my order of two salmon platters about 10 min ahead and it’s always ready and steaming hot when I get there! Convenient right on my way home and close to the freeway.

Not impressed at all. Service was average. But my disappointment is with there tiny skinny pieces of overlooked fish (see pic) and old fries that I didn’t even want to choke down. I have to also mention that my clam chowder was pretty much all liquid. Barely any potatoes and did not get one worthy bite of clams. For $ 15 I would expect to get full and enjoy my meal! I grew up with Ivars, it’s used to be awesome but that was decades ago. Been going downhill for a while but now it’s just a rip off. Bummer

This location has a huge dining room area. The staff is friendly and the inside is very clean. Lots of parking available.
They are always fast and the food is hot. Tonight is Ivar’s 110th birthday, so if you order an entrée and purchase a second entrée you receive the second one for only $ 1.10

Best service I’ve ever received at a fast good place. Len and his staff are incredible delivering full service from mints and moist towelettes to removing your trash afterwards.
Wish this were closer to Cap Hill!

I needed a break after driving across the state so I stopped here for a bowl of chowder and a chance to stretch my legs. I’ve only ever been to the Ivars at the airport until today, and the food here was much better (even if it was fast food).
The chowder was exactly what I was looking for. It warmed me up on a drizzly day and it wasn’t too heavy so the rest of my drive wasn’t spent in discomfort.
I don’t know if the food was healthy or not, but I think it was a lot better than most of the other fast food joints.

Being a tourist, this place was great for some delicious fish and chips. The fish was super moist and hot out of the fryer. Clam chowder wasn’t as good as it was a bit too watery. I would have liked it a little thicker. I also didn’t get much stuff in the chowder. It should be more chunky.

The staff was more awkward than friendly and seemed more focused on conversations behind the counter than the customers. I don’t often go to Ivar’s so I am not very familiar with the menu. I forgot that I had the option of getting coleslaw on the side with my prawns & chips and the person taking my order didn’t even ask about any additions. It would have been a great opportunity for an up-​sell.
I really dislike their soda machine. It has one nozzle for every soda so whatever you get ends up tasting a bit like what the last person got. Not that great tasting…
The restaurant was clean and quiet although busy. It was also nice to be able to have my order brought directly me to me instead of standing around awkwardly at the counter. They personalize each order with a name so you feel more appreciated.
I only gave 3 stars because there was no salt at all on my fries and one of my prawns tasted a little off.
