Great food. tastes authentic. service isnt great, but the food and prices make up for it.

It was our first time eating here and will be back next time we’re in town! It was OUSTANDING food! Plenty of food, the salsa is the best!

AMAZING Mexican food. I hate that it is so tucked away that it gets looked over for the more-accessible, less-authentic Hacienda.

No complaints about the service. Food was better than average. The table side guacamole mixing is a nice touch. Menu is dense and hard to follow with some interesting twists, but you have to read every item to find them. Decent value and experience overall for a Friday night dinner with kids. Not being a native means I can not compare to other local places.

Honestly, I don’t have a clue why anyone would rate this less than 5 stars. It’s been 15 years since I’ve been in town and this was the first place. Chips salsa and cheese dip immediately. Service super fast and friendly. Food so authentic. Best Mexican food in the country. Incredible.

I ordered carryout food today and it might’ve been the worst food I’ve had in a long time. They forgot two parts of my meal which I had to go back for… twice! I did receive free queso for their mistake but I would’ve been happier with a discount. The chalula shrimp was awful. Didn’t taste like seafood. It actually didn’t taste like anything at all. If imitation shrimp is a thing, they’re definitely using it. My fajitas were bland and cold. The salsa, which I used to love, tasted off as well. There literally wasn’t one good thing about the meal. I used to go to LB all the time but it has seriously gone downhill over the years. However, the prices seem to keep climbing. If you want better Mexican for a whole lot less, cross that money saving bridge and head to Cancun in Henderson.

The best Mexican food in the tri-state area. Reading some of these other negative reviews all I can say is that you don’t know good quality Mexican food. Everything is good, freshly prepared, and economical.

Let me get a strawberry margarita no sugar and a 31, no wait I want a 36, na make it a 31 and we’ll take a queso dip for the table. There’s not a bad thing on the menu. I judge other mexican restaurants to the Los Bravos chain

I would have to agree with another poster that this is more like Americanized Mexican food. I had the fish tacos. The tacos could have been much better with a tasty sauce. The sauce used was bland. The fish(catfish) was good and the tortillas were fresh. The chips were very good — hearty and tasty. The salsa was also tasty but for my preference could have had more heat. I ordered the lime margarita. It was just ok. It tasted like it was made from a pre-made mix. The service was very good and friendly.

Easy peasy Americanized Mexican. If that’s what you want this is the place in town to get it. Food: 4⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Location: 4⁄5

I was here with clients not expecting much for Mexican food in Evansville, IN, but it was wonderful! I had the chicken fajita salad, which had tons of chicken, peppers, onions, cheese and lettuce. Whatever seasoning they used was the perfect amount. Chips and salsa were great as well. Service was fast and friendly. Décor was very cute.

Chips and salsa are passable. The fajita meat tastes like cardboard. Their tortillas must come out of a package. The guac is too thin without enough avocado flavor or spices. The sopapilla made me gag. What I though was a melting scoop of ice cream turned out to be BUTTER, and the sopapilla itself was too oily and fried too long. It was heavy and crunchy, instead of light and puffy. Whoever mopped must not have changed the water, because our area smelled of sour mop water and lysol. Not pleasant when you’re trying to eat. In my experience the staff is friendly and enjoys speaking Spanish with customers. Here’s how I rate Mexican food restaurants. I give the restaurant one star per category that’s done well. 1. Chips –Temperature(chips should be served hot) –Flavor(no artificial flavors, please!) 2. Salsa Green, red, mango, whatever. Runny tomato sauce = unacceptable 3. Tortillas Nothing beats homemade!!! 4. Fajita Meat ISITMARINATED? I can’t stand cardboard fajita beef and chicken! 5. Extras How’re the beans, cheese, and guac?

I have been to Los Bravos tons of times, and I have never had a bad experience… ever. The food is amazing. I recommend the number 35 special… so much food for the price!

Have been eating here for years. Love it, especially the white cheese dip. Fair prices, usually quick service. They’ll accommodate large groups, which is nice.

2 word: «Good Food». We have been there 3 times and always came home happy and full. The salsa for the chip is very good too. The price is average and if you have a chance, try the steak there. It’s not your normal American steak taste.

I love this place, and am often here with my friends and family. They are extremely efficient and fast – if I’m in a big hurry, I could even eat there in 20 minutes(though I nearly always take longer – why rush?) I’ve never had a wrong order. I love their lunch Quesadilla Supreme, and #29(burrito supreme), and they have positively delicious fajitas! But then again, what isn’t good? Enchiladas especially! I haven’t had, but have heard their margaritas are by far the best in town.
