I love eating here. I’ve never had a problem with service. Everyone is always friendly and everything always comes out right. I often place to go order and my food is always ready in 15 minutes or less. Chicken on the beach is a definite favorite also the fajita nachos. Enjoy!

Happy to find a spot that was casual but not fast food. We were happy with mushroom quesadilla and cheese enchiladas. Service was fine.

I’ve watched this locally owned establishment evolve, from its meager duct taped seat beginnings in the 90’s, into the cornerstone for Mexican food in Evansville/Jasper. They have four locations and I’ve eaten at all of them. With that, I can wholeheartedly say this restaurant has delicious food, consistently great service, and affordable prices. I’ve read a few sour reviews from other diners that either didn’t enjoy the service, the food wasn’t «authentic» enough, or there was a loud child nearby. I usually expect these kind of whiny, predisposed diners to complain no matter what. Los Bravos has a wide variety of menu items that cater to all types(typical gringos and even the more devout foodie types that may want more authentic Mexican cuisine). Seriously, let’s not be delusional and pretend for a second that somehow a tattooed hipster recommending Taco Bell over Los Bravos has a valid point in the first place. These are the same kind of people that give chain restaurants high marks for overpriced Hot Pockets and a large beer selection. I’m not really one to argue with opinion when it seems logical, but as far as food or service goes, Los Bravos does it right. If you aren’t satisfied then say something to the server or even the manager, they have excellent customer service and have always taken care of me.

I don’t know, but I really don’t understand the hype of this place. I’ve tried it out more than once, and there is nothing authentic or Mexican about this food. I guess living in Los Angeles for so long probably spoiled me, but is choose Taco Bell over this place. The meat tastes watered down, and everything is just reheated to a luke warm temperature. On one occasion, we ordered the table side guacamole, and the server attempted and was determined to do this with clearly under ripe avocados. It was terrible. Service is eh. Nothing inviting or impressive about them. It’s no surprise that the most popular dish here is the«Chicken on the Beach», which could not be any less Mexican, and is quite frankly some grilled chicken on top of some rice. I’d skip it. After enough attempts to see the good in this place, I won’t be back.

The chicken on the beach was fantastic. :) The chips were fresh and the salsa was very tasty.

I have been coming here since they first opened their doors in Evansville. They have gone downhill quite a bit. The servers are not interested in you Asa customer. The chips were fresh but greasy with fryer oil still all over them and some not even crisp. I ordered a combination platter with chicken enchiladas. She asked twice I replied twice chicken when I received my food it was cheese enchiladas which weren’t even totally cooked. I probably won’t be back.

I love the food and margaritas from this place! They have the best margaritas in town, though their prices may be a bit steeper than regular margaritas. It’s worth it though. The food is delicious. I love the chicken nachos, and the burrito verde. Great chips and salsa and service too.

Salsa tasted like from a jar… The sauce over burrito tasted like a can tomato sauce. Did not seem authentic to me. I am Mexican from southern CA visiting family and was not impressed at all and my son and i later in the evening were sick!!! =(

This used to be my favorite Mexican place in Evansville, but they keep raising their prices and the quality of the food seems to have gone south a bit as well. I would recommend going to Los Portales on north Green River Road. It’s our new fave.

Best Mexican food in town. It’s authentic Mexican food. That’s what makes them gr8. Their white cheese nacho dip is awesome. I cannot go here & leave without it.

One of the oddest drink combinations I’ve ever seen was here at Los Bravos. A margarita served to the table with a bottle of Coronita upside down inside the glass. It begged the questions: how to drink it? If you removed the bottle, the glass would overflow — so the logical next step was to drink the margarita, albeit timidly, and wait for the level to go down enough in order to pull out the bottle. As it turned out, actually finishing the margarita wouldn’t allow the beer to emerge. So it wasn’t like one of those self-watering plant spikes. A margarita with a beer chaser isn’t one of my favorite tastes in the world, but chalk this one up to «unique» and leave it at that. Lots of the normal fare at Los Bravos with a few stand-outs including the El Rayo Special — grilled chicken breast topped with grilled onions and button mushroom with cheese dip. Chalula Shrimp — grilled shrimp seasoned with red sauce and diced cayenne. Sombrero Special — 8 oz rib-eye steak or chicken breast topped with grilled shrimp, smothered in white chipotle sauce. Served with rice, fresh cauliflower, zucchini and broccoli. I had the El Rayo and it was quite delicious. Went perfectly with that beer/margarita combo.

I love this place, and am often here with my friends and family. They are extremely efficient and fast – if I’m in a big hurry, I could even eat there in 20 minutes(though I nearly always take longer – why rush?) I’ve never had a wrong order. I love their lunch Quesadilla Supreme, and #29(burrito supreme), and they have positively delicious fajitas! But then again, what isn’t good? Enchiladas especially! I haven’t had, but have heard their margaritas are by far the best in town.
