This is technically not a new business, just a new branch. Prior to last week, I never payed attention to this local chain. There are a ton of locations all over Evansville. I recently heard that they carry some good Scotch at other locations so I wanted to check it out. The new West Side space is very odd. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of square footage. There is only one tall shelf. The wine and spirit selection is better at University Liquor. However, this place has them beat on beer. The only place(that I know of) to purchase the Trappist brews(other than at a few restaurants) west of hwy 41. I will keep an eye on this place because the manager said they were still stocking the shelves. The interaction with one of the workers was encouraging. I asked if they would get any Three Floyd dreadnaught, he said, «Is that the beer that you can only buy on a certain day.’ It was nice to see that he was trying to engage in a larger conversation. He then recommended a few beers to me. Once all the knowledge kinks are worked out, I think this store has the potential to be a 5 star, until then, solid 4(which is still good)
