My first time trying this location out, I tried the steak tacos. The chicken tacos are good as well. But the steak tacos are better. I also tried their steak philly, and i didn’t enjoy it. The reason why I didn’t enjoy it was because, the bread wasn’t a little tough, the meat was chunky not cut up like the they do the steak tacos. Onions & bell peppers was cut to big in my opinion. It really didn’t have a good taste or shall I say any flavor. I think they should stick to the Mexican food, because steak philly is not their thing. Their tacos are the bomb!!!

I am not impressed. Got a bunch of food for pickup to share and everything was mediocre at best. Nothing tasted right. Chicken burito was mostly just a huge wrapped tortilla with sour cream and cheese. I threw it away. Threw away fish tacos also. Just not flavorful. I will not return. Seems they use the cheapest possible ingredients and produce.

When I told you BOMB, I mean it! Their nachos and enchiladas are awesome. And their service is under 10 minutes.

Love the horchata! Tacos are great too. The guys behind the counter are super nice! I think I’ll have the burrito next time.

If I could only get them to answer the phone! We’ve ordered from them many times and the food is always great. Have tried 2x the past 2 weeks and can’t get an answer.

They have the best horchata. Not watered down like some other places. The staff is friendly and I always feel welcome. They have great prices and their food is very comforting. I recommend the al pastor burrito in any size depending on how hungry you are!

These hole-in the wall burrito joints seem to have the best Mexican food. Supreme Burrito #1 is no exception. It has the trifecta of qualities one expects: cheap, fast, and good. My wife loves the soft shelled steak tacos, while I go for the tamales. Yeah, the tamales aren’t the nasty machine-extruded specimens covered in wax paper that you get at a hot dog joint; the ones at Supreme Burrito are hand-rolled. Plus, if you’re into that sort of thing, they sell Mexican Coca Cola(made with cane sugar, and not corn syrup). I don’t always drink Coke, but when I do, I prefer Mexican Coke. Stay thirsty, my friends.

After living near Pilsen for the last seven years, I didn’t think I would ever find Mexican food in Evanston nearly as good. I got carne asada and al pastor tacos. Generously portioned and very flavorful meat. Chips and Guac were amazing. Not Big Star amazing. But this is a gem especially since its Evanston. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is a good alternative to the several Mexican food choices in Evanston. The prices are perfectly reasonable, and the food is pretty well seasoned. It definitely isn’t the best Mexican food I have had, and not quite as good as some of the hole in the walls you will find throughout the city, but they deliver, and are a much better choice than Las Palmas or Las Maria’s. The chimichangas are pretty big, and tasty. And the Al Pastor tacos with everything on them are very good. The tortillas they are served on seem pretty fresh as well. Definitely good for a night in at home, or a quick pick up bite.

I like the food here and the guys are friendly. It isn’t great Mexican food, but it is tasty and definitely fulfills my cravings for a nice steak burrito. I appreciate that they are here in Evanston since not many other tacorias exists here. It’s become one of my «hole in the wall» good places to eat locations.

When I get a hankering for some honest Mexican grub, this is my local spot. Reminds me of the taquerias I used to hit with my buddies on the north side of Chicago. It’s a counter service, no frills experience. No waiters. Plastic utensils and paper napkins. Just some basic tables and a small tv with a soccer game on 24⁄7. Not at all fancy, but the food is great. The prices are really reasonable. And the guys that work there are super nice. The al pastor and carne asada are yummy stuff. Try a burrito or tacos loaded with that goodness.

Like porn, I like it. But I don’t lust for it… yet. Just moved in down the street, so I have time to build a relationship with it. It always does my dishes, which you can’t find in most girlfriends these days. Always takes my orders. Smells nice and stays open most of the day! If you know what I’m saying? wink, wink… winky wink. Go ahead and take a pass at it. Open relationships are the new sliced bread.

When I lived in the city, it seemed like I could always find a little hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint when I was in the mood. I hated to lose that when I moved to Evanston. When this place opened a few blocks from me, it was a given that I would frequent, so but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was as good as or better than most places in the city. Good food, good portion sizes, good prices, friendly staff… can’t ask for much more!

My favorite Mexican joint near me. I always get a pork torta with avocado and eat it with tons of their red hot sauce. Killer. Keep it up.

Best mexican place in Evanston, hands down. Nacho platters to go, tacos in, this place rocks. Best guacamole. My wife hates avocado, and still orders gaucamole EVERY time we go.

I work close by and this is a go-to lunch spot a few times a month. I’m a big fan of their steak tacos with cilantro and onion. Their chips always taste fresh and they have really good homemade salsa and guacamole. The burritos are great, I just don’t happen to get them very often. This past week, one of my co workers ordered their nachos, which was out of this world — crazy huge, way more food than she could eat, and really really good. Also, I treat myself to their horchata on occasion. There’s always a line at lunch time, but it moves super fast and they have your food ready for you within a couple minutes. The workers are always friendly and pleasant. Love this place!

I LOVE this place. First, it’s basically the only taqueria in Evanston, and I no longer have to drive to Roger’s Park for Mexican food. I really like pretty much everything I ever tried here. The menu has all the classics: tacos, burritos, tortas, etc., and a few specials like enchiladas. My favorite is the lengua(beef tongue) tacos with onions and cilantro and their salsa verde. I get this may not be appealing to some, but I’m a Jewish girl from Skokie; I’ve been eating tongue my whole life. The steak and chicken is also yummy. And their California burrito rocks. It’s a regular burrito with your choice of meat and grilled peppers and onions(like a fajita burrito, if you will). I don’t love the flavor of the al pastor pork or the chorizo, but I’m not saying it’s bad; it’s just not my favorite seasonings for these. They also have a great Horchata and Agua de Jamaica.

Good food low price. .only negative thing I have to say is they always forget shit. Like the girl will nod her head to all I say and charge me for it but she always forgets shit. like she forgets to tell the cooks certian things. .and she’ll stand there and help pack the bag and I still alwaysss miss something! But I just chuck it up as a loss. they don’t understand anyway. .but she’s cute and the workers are fast

Really really affordable mexican food that serves out huge portions! While this isn’t the best mexican food I’ve ever had, it does hit the spot sometimes when I’m craving, especially since Taco Diablo isn’t around Evanston anymore. Their lengua tacos area tender and moist. Topped with some salsa makes it a pretty solid taco. The nachos are also a gigantic portion and they put refried beans along with cheese, meat, and a huge scoop of guac. Guaranteed to satisfy those with a big appetite.

For what it is, this place can’t be beat. My fiancé and I walked in and saw a giant pot of fresh vegetables on the stove, which I would take as a good sign. The al pastor burritos are amazing, and the price is fantastic.($ 5.50 for a gigantic and delicious burrito.) I’d definitely recommend this if you’re in the neighborhood – miles above Taco Bell for just a couple of dollars more.

Welp — I’ve been here a couple times but not much for a detailed review. For the price you can’t beat it. El pastor torta dinner or a steak/pastor burrito dinners are usually what i get when i can go. My only real big dislike would be that the rice is really really really bland. i feel like they could do WAY more with it, especially being the only place of their kind in Evanston. I tend to just drown it with sauce(salsa or the green stuff w/some salt). It’d probably take a extra 5 — 10 mins to prep/spice it up, but i think it’d be way worth it(especially if you want to rake in customers!!!). I wish they were open late night !!!

Al pastor burrito = 5; can’t go wrong. Shrimp burrito = 2; shrimp too big w/green peppers — falls apart too easy. Horchata = 4; need a touch of cinnamon.
