Mike was highly recommended by a friend who gets his family photos done w/​him and I can plainly see why. Upon entering his studio — which was clean and organized w/​out being cold and impersonal — he was very friendly. While maintaining focus on his set up, he engaged me about life as a singer/​songwriter (I had needed new head shots) which brought out my personality and enthusiasm for what I do. This natural, happy energy staved off much self-​consciousness and translated quite well in my eyes and smile as we reviewed photos bw poses. He was great at giving direction and offering ideas as well as being flexible to try yours. He worked with a sense of urgency without making you feel rushed. We chose shots together and I appreciated his gentle nudging regarding frames he loved but I was less sure of. Trust his instincts, they are great. In addition to a good eye behind the lens, his touch ups and end products were stunning! I looked youthful and refreshed without looking over-​processed. He had captured my essence and I couldn’t have been more pleased! Also, the images were delivered when he said they would be. **Bonus** Bc he is so organized & satisfaction-​driven, he was able to facilitate a very last minute request MONTHS post-​studio visit when I had lost my original files. Life saver!
