Great quality hair for a decent price! The employee that helped me took the different types of extensions out the boxes/bags so I could touch them and make a more informed decision. I’d come back here.

This place is filled with wigs and hair extensions which we don’t need, and also cheap costume jewelry and ethnic items. Not a lot of quality makeup, but a decent selection of hair and skin products, and my go to place for Shea Butter and tea tree oil! Very inexpensive hair pins/bobby pins, head bands, ponytail holders and bun holders for my daughter the dancer. So it’s convenient for things like that. Just be careful what you buy, because they have a no returns policy. They will give you a store credit if it’s within 7 days.

I would give this place a big fat zero since they have pissed me off for the last time and I will not be shopping there again! Here’s my tale of woe: I had been a loyal customer since they first opened, about 6 yrs now, and been mostly satisfied, with a few exceptions. But today was the last straw! For the past 3 years, i’d been buying these handy little clip-on hair extensions called Yaki Clips. Always the same color – 1B, which is a very dark brown w/medium highlights. It’s human hair & over the years the color has been pretty consistent, but the last one I bought 2 weeks ago was different – black w/no highlights. Couldn’t really tell how dark it actually was until I clipped it into my hair. Obviously too dark so today I took it back to the store to point out the color difference & ask for an even exchange. To my surprise, the store owner refused(and not very courteously)!! I even showed her the obvious color difference between the new one & one previously purchased, but she still wouldn’t budge because it had been opened & she couldn’t resell it. Told her I had to open & try it on to fully see the color difference but she didn’t care. Reminded her what a loyal customer I’d been over the past several years. Didn’t matter to her. Oh did I forget to mention that all this was over an item that cost $ 7.99?! That’s right, a mere 7 dollars and 99 cents is the amount she refused to exchange and pretty much stated that she didn’t care if it cost her my business! So my friends, .done. Don’t recommend it for you either if you want quality products that they stand behind or courteous customer service or any appreciation for your loyalty. Here are some other problems I’ve had over the years; a blow dryer that made an electrical spark every time I plugged it in(right from the very start). Wound up having to throw that away before it killed somebody! And many bad recommendations from them for hair care products that turned out to be really awful and a waste of money. I advise you to avoid Main Beauty Supply & shop anywhere else! Now ask me how I really feel? Ha

I stopped by Main Beauty Supply on a whim after dropping off some packages at the UPS Store next door. There’s little in the way of cosmetics here(lipstick, eye shadow, foundation, etc.), but there were plenty of hair-related products for anyone of African heritage(Africans, African Americans, Afro-Carribeans, etc), including wigs, hair extensions, hair caps/rags, hair oils, shampoos, conditioners, hair styling products, and more. The prices seemed reasonable.
