Eden’s Automotive

My old car and I ended up at Eden’s Automotive one weekend last winter after the toyota overheated and I pulled into an empty Sarah Lee (the poundcake lady) lot. Adding coolant didn’t seem to help – nothing changed. AAA called the tow truck and the tow truck took me to Eden’s, and there I sat until I could get a ride from my in-​laws, who are lovely people.
Fast forward to the work week. Eden’s was open, and ready to diagnose my problem – a leak in my radiator which was distributing coolant everywhere but the right place. I feel it important to mention that my checking account was running on empty and I felt desperate enough that, when the owner called to give me the diagnosis and the price quote, I asked whether I could just pick up the car and take it home until I was able to pay for the repair. Silly, I know, but–
Eden’s said they couldn’t in good conscience let me do that, that they’d fix the car and let me pick it up, and I could send them the fee when I was able. I should also mention the price was a reasonable one, considering the problem, not ridiculous or padded.
What a mercy! I was able to send the guys a check two weeks later, but I was amazed at their good will and generosity, to trust someone they’d never met, and to be worried enough about the car to fix it without knowing whether they’d even be paid! Thank you, Eden’s. This review is long overdue, but you deserve a row of gold stars.
