Childtime

Love the staff at childtime. My first LO had severe colic and the teachers there loved and cared for him as if he were their own. My daughter will soon be going there too we are very excited and their curriculum is great also!

Great program! My daughter has been coming here for about a year. She’s really shy and the staff at Childtime has brought her out of her shell. One thing I noticed when touring the school is they utilize something very similar to the nursing process in working with children (google this if you’re not aware of what this is). As I am a nurse, this program is a perfect fit!

My daughter attended this school for a year. We were very impressed with the staff and their creativity. We have moved out of the area, but would otherwise still be sending our child here. Office staff is flexible and policies are reasonable.

We love Childtime! Our 15 month old son has been enrolled here since he was an infant and has been surrounded by a loving, nurturing and educational environment at Childtime that really eased this first-​time mom’s mind about going back to work so soon (not that I had a choice but that’s another subject…). He continues to surprise me with the little things he knows how to do: wipe his mouth and hands with a napkin, blow his nose, clean up when asked… I could go on and on. More importantly, we have a confident, smart, loving little boy and Childtime has been a big part of that.
My husband and I both commute over 20 miles north, each way, every day. We wanted to move closer to our offices but held off for over a year and continued to battle traffic solely because we didn’t want to take our son out of a place where he is clearly so happy and loved. Sadly, the commute has become too much for us so we made the difficult decision to change his child care, but I cannot say enough wonderful things about the foundation Childtime has given him. Everyone, from the most junior teacher to the center director, has been wonderful, and we can’t ask for much more for our little boy.

This used to be a great center. The new director is awful. Her newsletters, emails & patent communications use bad grammar and are peppered with misspellings. This does not inspire confidence. She has been continually rude and not understanding at all of our difficult family situation. She sends threatening emails and has turned my kids away and hurt their feelings. The center has gone rapidly downhill since she took over. Teachers have left, classrooms are empty & the fun learning environment has turned negative and scary. I have been repeatedly over charged and if I didn’t read my receipts carefully I would never have known. She thought I wouldn’t be smart enough to take the time to do a little basic math but I was. She is rude, mean & deceitful. Do not give them your hard earned money. The teachers have always been great and I have no problems with them but administration sets the tone of a center and the administration is awful. Don’t waste your time and don’t send your kids here.

This review is solely based on the customer service I encountered when I requested information from ChildTime Evanston. I filled out a request for information, and within two hours, I had received 6 phone calls, 1 voicemail, and 1 email to fulfill my request for information. Totally freaked out by the barrage of phone calls, I called them back and asked to be taken off their list. By the end of the day, they had called me two more times, and I requested again to be taken off their phone list. I was told that it would be up to 30 DAYS before my request could be granted. I urged them again to take me off the list. By the end of the evening, I had received another call from them, and called back immediately and requested to speak to a supervisor. I was informed that this company is a member of the Learning Care Group, which is a marketing group that has four call lists. I thought I was going to get information about possible childcare options, and instead I got added to a telemarketing campaign. The supervisor noted that I was flagged on their do-​not-​call list, and said he would make another note that I get off the list. Avoid giving them your phone number if at all possible! ALSO, on one of the calls they asked me to confirm my address, which I didn’t provide in the first place, and definitely was not going to provide after they slammed me with phone calls. Just based on this company’s reliance on telemarketing to provide information about their center, there is no way I would give them any money to take care of my children.
