Super thin crisp crust tastes good and seems healthy that there is so little of it. Classic sauce tasty and quite decent ingredients to chose among many. Good price. Most of the seating is around the corner in a dark slot of a space so if you want to eat there go at an off hour and sit up front.

I come here often to grab a meal with a friend. It’s a nice spot in downtown Evanston and pretty affordable. I ALWAYS build my own pizza. They have an awesome selection of cheeses and toppings and the pizza is fire grilled before your very eyes. When they call your name, make sure you ask them for pesto on top. Literally changes everything. More than enough food for your dollar. Also, their s’mores are AMAZING. It’s a bit pricey but when they warm it up for you next to the grill, the marshmallow goos into the melted chocolate, contrasting the crunchy cracker that holds everything together. DEFINITELY not your average smore.

What’s not to love about Blaze? The staff is friendly, the pizza tastes amazing, and if you have space for it: the s’mores are simply devine. Blaze is amazing for us college students who don’t want to chow down on dining food, and it’s right by campus to boot. I’ve been here multiple times now and I’ll keep going back!

Blaze has helped expose me the glory and deliciousness of having goat cheese on my pizza. Btw they have clean bathrooms too. Nomming hard right now.

Pizza toppings don’t get enough love, and it’s understandable. Restaurants routinely up-charge for each topping, preventing them from reaching their full potential. Not Blaze! Add all the toppings you want, and it’s the same low price. Pepperoni, sausage, and bacon? Same low price. Pineapple, jalapenos, basil, and onions? Same low price. Drizzle of olive oil? You get the idea. It’s a starving pizza artist’s dream. They also cook the pizza incredibly fast. I usually order online(to skip the line), and when I get there, I have my freshly baked pizza in hand within five minutes. Overall, Blaze is efficient, delicious, and a liberator for pizza toppings everywhere.

Been to other Blazes and so much faster from start to finish. Took a minute or four for the guy to build my Art Lover with bacon. Come to find out he liked to tear apart the artichoke hearts into small leaves… when the hearts where pre-cut. That’s the meat of my pie! Well besides the bacon… Other than that friendly, clean, seating in the back and worth the extra four minute build of my pie.

I was hesitant at first, fearing that Blaze might be over-hyped — for the one-topping pizza that I got, though, in all fairness I’d say they serve up a tasty, well-portioned pizza, and they do it really freaking fast. The line was reaching the front door during the lunch rush, but since they churn these pizzas out in assembly line style with the pizzas spending only 3 minutes in the oven… we were seated and having lunch in no time. It’s really a perfect lunch spot, with thin-crust and a dusting of cheese that makes the meal not too heavy to require a nap afterwards. I’m not sure I’m willing to dish out for a specialty pizza or build-my-own for lunch, but the plain or one-topping is right in my lunch budget range. Wholeheartedly recommend, and will definitely return!

I really dig this chain. The Evanston location boasts the same friendly service, delicious product, and compelling value that I’ve enjoyed in the Loop and in Niles. For under seven dollars, you can get a single-topping pie which makes a filling meal for one or a satisfying snack for two. It’s very tasty pizza, and of course their format gives you every combination option under the sun(if you choose the unlimited toppings, of course). The concept is brilliant and the execution superb. And I discovered last night that these thin slices heat up perfectly in a nonstick skillet, just a couple of minutes on low-medium heat. Bonus! Most pizza, in my opinion, needs a longish bake in a low-temperature oven to heat up properly. Yesterday the cashier successfully solicited from me a one-dollar donation to Shriners hospitals. In return, she comped me a card for a free s’more on a future visit! That made my day. I guess that altruism sometimes brings concrete rewards.

Yes, this chain gets a high rating mainly for its value, unlimited toppings choices, and freshness. All the toppings you want on an 11″ 6-slice thin pizza for $ 8.45 is indeed a pretty good deal, and it’s fresh to boot. We tried pre-formulated Green Stripe(pesto drizzle, chicken, etc) and Link-In(Italian sausage, red peppers, etc) pizza recipes and added a few other toppings along the way. With the queue at the time, it was probably about 10 minutes after we ordered that the pizzas came, and they were piping hot fresh right out of the oven. Pizzas were a bit greasy but the level I’m sure will vary with the toppings selected. At this location, there is a room full of seating around the back side of the pizza oven and not visible from the front. I would only suggest that they have styrofoam or paper plates available for sharing as it was a little messy just using paper napkins for a table setting.

OOONMMGGGGGSOOOGOOD!!! :) Friendly staff, good food, prompt service, clean place. What else could you ask for? Go on — build that pizza tall and proud put some extra cheese and 5 types of meat and every damn topping you can imagine on there, and the staff will do it right and pile it high! Oh you’re gluten free? Well duh! We knew that! Here’s a gluten free crust you picky one you ;) Oh but that does bring me to my single complaint — the gluten free crust is waaayyy too thin. You can’t even pick up the pizza slice when you get that crust, you’re down to a fork and knife cause it’ll just fall apart otherwise. Small problem to have in this big terrible world though huh?

For fast casual, my go to nowadays has been Blaze Pizza. My first taste of Blaze was at their Chicago location(near the Belmont red line). From first bite, I was in love. No longer did i long for pizza from pizza hut, papa johns, or dominos. Blaze is way better. Waaaay better. Trust me. Oftentimes I prefer thin crust over typical Chicago style deep dish. So for thin crust lovers this is the place for you since they only serve their pizzas this way. Sorry to have to offend the deep dish crowd. I’ve lived in Chicago for a good part of my life and it seems like in order to be a true Chicago foodie, you are indoctrinated by other Chicagoans to enjoy your food a certain way… Or else face judgement and ridicule. Two of them being this: #1) You must like Chicago style deep dish or your considered«not from here» and #2) Its a sin to eat your hot dog with ketchup. It seems like this fast casual Chipolte-esque style of serving food has catched on for some time now and its going to be the trend for a while. I like the concept and most of all i enjoy the food here. Try their smores desserts. Its a nice way to end off a personal pizza.

A personal pizza with as many personalized toppings as I want on top of it for under $ 10. This place is great in my book. It was quick and easy to get to from my friend’s place in Evanston. It’s not my favorite pizza, but it’s so quick and cheap. If they had parsley in addition to the fresh spinach, I would probably go here way more than I already do.

So I finally got to try a Blaze when ironically enough I almost went to Taco Bell instead, and then chanced coming here hoping they would serve me food, once I noticed this had opened just down the street when I was up here late a few months back. Luckily they did since I came in barely before closing(3 – 5 mins!), and most places will slam the door on you, give you an ugly glare that they’d rather not serve you, or downright refuse to serve you if you go that close to closing time. To my very surprise, they didn’t mind serving me as the last customer of the night, and didn’t give me attitude one bit when I politely asked if they were still serving food, and prepared my pizza without any issues. I’ll resist giving that 5th star for now(though it’s tempting, I won’t), but on to the food. I ordered the meat eater, and it didn’t disappoint one bit. All their pizzas that are predetermined on the menu are I think $ 7, and I think custom pizzas cost a little more or less, based on the toppings you get. It is like how everyone describes them, ‘the Chipotle of pizza’. If I keep having more great experiences here like my 1st experience was, I might have to up them to 5 stars. We’ll see. Nice that I ran into a Blaze up here, since I’d increasingly heard from a few people who had talked them up to me after they opened on Belmont in Chicago, and I definitely was surprised about their pizza.

Small and sturdy. This is a nice location in downtown Evanston. It’s very loud but friendly ambience. You give your name at the beginning of the process and they call you by name throughout. I like that. I had no doubt that I was getting the right order. It was quick, affordable, and delicious. I ordered two pies and a beer and it was less than 20. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. I appreciate that they didn’t try to up-sell everything. We had a nice meal, appreciated the staff, service and cleanliness. Attire: this place is about as casual as you get. Kids; this is a great place for kids. They’ll get the se portion, but it’s not expensive and they can get their veggies in! Even the picky eaters will find something they like here. We will be back!

I’m so happy Blaze is open in Evanston! For those looking for an uncomplicated, inexpensive, infinitely customizable meal, Blaze really can’t be beat. Regular dough or gluten free(warning, if you’re in front of me in line and request GF, and answers preference when the chef asks you if it’s an allergy or preference, I might giggle), multiple different types of sauce, and seemingly unlimited veggie toppings, this is great for anyone with dietary preferences, groups, or those who simply like variety. Pizzas cook quickly, and they’ll call you when yours is ready. At this point, you can opt for one of their finishes(a drizzle of pesto or bbq sauce, or a handful of fresh arugula), grab parmesan or hot peppers, and take it to one of their tables to enjoy. Keep in mind there’s a back room that’s pretty large and quiet with extra seating. My one quibble with Blaze is that the quality of their salads is pretty terrible. One evening we went through multiple salads with rotten ingredients before giving up. To Blaze’s credit, they dealt with it flawlessly, but I would recommend this as a destination to get a salad.

1. Order toppings. 2. 3 mins baking. 3. 11″ piping hot, freshly baked pizza. That’s what Blaze is all about. If you’re on a diet or have fattie-phobia, fear not! Each slice is ~135−150 calories each. This comes out to fewer than 900 calories per 6-slice pizza, based on their nutrition calculator: Make sure to add the spicy red sauce. It may make or break the flavor of the pizza, such as the Art Lover’s and Veg Out. Overall, if you’re craving fast, simple and healthy thin crust pizza, Blaze is the place to go!

I am absolutely obsessed with this new pizza chain. I’ve literally had it 3 times within the course of a week(without guilt because they had the $ 3.14 special for pi day) but that’s how delicious it is. I’m a lover of thin crust pizzas in the city of deep dish pizza so I’m so happy that there are Blazes popping up all over the city! These 11 inch personal size pizzas are perfect for a meal and it never gets boring since they have a ton of toppings and sauces. For a mere $ 7.95 you can put as many toppings as you want on your pizza and only 180 seconds separate you from deliciousness. If I had to pick one food to live off of for the rest of my life… this very well may be one of the considerations. It’s super affordable and taste pretty identical $ 20 pizzas they serve at Eataly. Definitely give this place a try and you’ll see :)

After hearing the buzz about Blaze from friends we decided to try it out today. I usually stay away from pizza due to their bad rep but when i read that Blaze crust is only 384 calories per pizza(about 64 cals per slice without toppings) I decided to give it a try. It also helped that they had written a beautiful ode about their artisan ingredients which made it sound very European. The line to buy these pizzas were long and we were able to get a Veg-out pizza after 15 – 20 minute wait. As others have described we were able to get the pizza within 5 mins of ordering and I do agree it was worth the wait. The pizza was plenty for two us and it tasted good. I loved the fact that it was delicious and healthy. It has been a long time that I had such good, healthy and fresh pizza so i figured I had to write a good review for them. It is still not as great as the hand made pizzas that I have tried in Italy but this is definitely the next best thing(definitely the best I have had in Midwest!) Next time I have a pizza craving — I will be standing in the blaze line for my pizza :) P.s– They do offer pies and salads too.

5 stars! Came here to get free pizza today, and was floored by the great service(and generosity). I got the build your own, with a mix of the original and spicy red sauces, shredded mozzarella, goat, ricotta, applewood bacon, italian sausage and meatball, bell peppers, tomatoes, spinach, onions, roasted garlic, and mushrooms. All the staff are super friendly and well trained, so they were able to handle the huge influx of customers really well. The pizza is thin crust, so they advise you not to put too many toppings on, but mine was fine even with a ton of toppings. Definitely coming back – I can see myself really liking this place!

If you’ve never been to a Blaze Pizza before, here’s the scoop: it’s a fast casual make-your-own pizza place with an amazing assortment of topping choices, all for only $ 7.95. You watch as your order is put together right in front of you, 3 minutes in the oven, and BAM! You’ve got a crispy crust pizza to enjoy, along with an assortment of salads, drinks(including beer and wine), and a signature S’more Pie for dessert. This location has plenty of seating around the corner from the ovens and a very friendly staff. Nice to see another pizza choice in Evanston.
