I chose Evans Mechanical because of their reputation when I decided to replace my 40 year old heater. It’s clear that their excellent reputation is well deserved. Once I sat down with Joe for an estimate, I knew I was sold on Evans.
I selected the Nest system for my smoke detectors and for my thermostat because I love gadgets. Even though it is not their typical choice, they installed them with ease.
The existing attic access was too small to remove the old heater, so it had to be widened. The return was located in the stairwell to the garage, which made no sense, so that needed to be moved to the interior hallway. Everything that needed to be done was explained to me in detail and they didn’t tire of my questions.
Not only did they do a great job, they actually seemed to enjoy their work. The crew got along well with each other and with me in the house. The fellows were so easy going, that I know that Brad is Happy (no, really, he’s so super enthusiastic that the others call him that!). Hatch aka Tuna (lead installer) led the project with skill and may start watching Homeland soon, since that’s what I was watching for much of their stay. Mike (the Foreman) and Dan both love animals. They were all respectful of my sneaky and somewhat crotchety old indoor cat, Pete.
Hatch even suggested, then made (free of charge) custom wall plates to lay behind the thermostat and one of the smoke detectors to stylishly hide the blemishes left on the walls from the older units.
Oh! And they left the place cleaner than they found it. Happy even vacuumed one of Pete’s toys for him. Thank you, guys!

I recently purchased a Victorian home that did not have a furnace or a working duct system.
Evans did an inspection, walked me through all the alternatives and did the work while I was out of town. The work was impeccable, they went over and above the initial scope of work
and left my home in perfect shape. Joe, who was my main man, made the process easy to understand, took time to answer all my questions and was very personable and professional.
I never thought that having a heating system installed could be such a good experience!

I want to thank the professionals at Evan’s Mechanical for making my house safer, cleaner, and more efficient. I them to have my heater ducts cleaned and to safety check my 40 year old heater. The crew found a crack in the heat exchanger, potentially allowing carbon monoxide to escape into our home. They used a camera to show me the crack and called out Joe Tanno to talk with me about options. We chose a new heater and made arrangements for its installation in a few days (on Saturday!). When the new heater was turned on for testing, it sounded like we were in a wind tunnel; very loud. We used it over the weekend and called on Mon. and spoke with Joe. He came out the as soon as possible and proposed modifications to the duct system that would reduce the noise. It involved moving the air return away from the heater and adding an additional air chamber. I was skeptical that the modifications would reduce the noise enough to correct the problem. The crew worked all day to make the modifications and when they tested the heater, we could barely hear it. Joe knew what the problem was and how to fix it. He was knowledgable, always helpful and pleasant, as were the crews. A job well done!

Great service and great work! I had central heating installed in my house and it took them 3 days to get it all completely finished. They made sure my heater was workable after the first day so my family and I could have heat. And the must have been the most friendly people I have ever had come work on anything in my house. We chatted it up, telling fishing stories and got to know each other very well by the time they were done. We even had a follow up appointment after a week, then a month. Thanks guys! My furnace quit heating… I discovered it needed an ignighter they sold me one thats working just fine. Rachel helped me find the correct one she’s great and it only cost $ 40 and my time to get it working again ;o) Thanks Rachel for your great service.

Evans Mechanical was very quick to respond to my review of their service. The manager contacted me and wanted to help me have a different experience, which I commend them on. They came back to my home and did a great job re-​cleaning my ducts and doing some more work under the house. I feel like they really redeemed themselves. Thank you Evans. You have earned my business in the future!

I had to call in a plumber to help with a gas leak problem, and not only were they quick to respond, but also very decent price range for the work needing to be done and very professional and reliable. I will use their services again if I need this type of help in the future and would definitely recommend them to anyone who has plumbing needs.

These guys installed a gas line for our BBQ grill the other day. Super friendly, professional, fast, and got the job done for the price they quoted us a few weeks ago. Even offered to hook up the grill for us when they realized we already had the hoses. Planning on having them install a tankless water heater once we have the funds. Would recommend them for sure!

We had one of their service advisors out for a quote on a tankless water heater and some other items. Their prices were two to three times higher than other companies. But my main complaint is that the person they sent out kept applying high pressure sales tactics. Frankly, I was offended and wouldn’t want anything to do with them after that.

These are the best crew of plumbing and heating contractors I have ever had dealings with. I purchased a new tankless water heater and forced air heating system from them. They powered out the entire job in one day and did amazing work. Really a thing of beauty. I was so impressed I made sure to get their Gold Service Contract and was able to call them back to rehookup our sink after another contractor finished our kitchen counter. There was no charge for the service call! I am sold on EVANS and will not look elsewhere.
