I see I never wrote a review for this event! Absolutely fantastic! We’ve known the owner, Todd, for some time now, and we were so glad he welcomed our group of Unilocalers. The food was amazing as always, and 440 remains one of our favorite places in town. Thank you so much for hosting us!

I loved this event! Special thanks to Josh and James and everyone else who made this night so incredibly special! I’ve been to Café 440 twice before this night, and I have no idea why I didn’t post about what a great place it is. Delicious food, and my favorites were the Ahi Tuna Poke(#1 — indescribably delicious!), salmon cakes, calamari, sweet potato fries, and the piece de resistance: braised pork shank with braised greens and green chili mashed potatoes. OMG. The pork simply fell off of the bone and all of the flavors meshed together so well, I could have died and been happy to have this for my last meal. My hubby feels the same way. Cannot wait for the next meet-up, or for my next meal at 440! Thanks, everyone!

I give the whole going out for a fine meal with Unilocalers five stars. Really cool experience. Hope to go again. As for Café 400, well… it was my first time there and I didn’t feel overly impressed by the food though I really appreciated the effort. I tried the wings(too sweet for my taste), the ahi tuna poke(nicely flavored but the tuna could have had a firmer texture), and the sliders(again too sweet for my taste). The meatball sandwich kind of rocked, I admit, an incredible pillowy bread surrounding a gyro-like meatloafygoodness. Perfect fries. I didn’t try anything else. Wish we could have had more of a sampling of items that came out automatically instead of going through ordering one-offs. I would have had a better idea of the food in general(and probably tried the macaroni and cheese that is being raved about). Great swag. Thanks for letting me bring my kid and thanks for putting it together.

Café 440 is one of the better restaurants in Eugene hands down. This is our 3rd visit and it was by far the best. Was it the service? For sure. Was it the food? You bet! Was it the atmoshpere? Absolutely! Todd was gracious enough to allow 10 Unilocalers and their +1’s to enjoy a night of food and drink. Appetizers were flying around the table like nobodys business! They ranged from Calamari, Pork Sliders, Ahi Poke, Fries, Sweet tater fries, Bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, Crab cakes and it was all delicious! The calamari, sweet tater fries and poppers were my favorites. Presentation was spot on, and the fact that our server was juggeling 20 of us and 3 – 4 other tables was impressive. I really wanted to get a burger, but I was so full from all the good apps, I couldn’t shove anymore food in my hollow leg! I did sample the Mac N Cheese… cheesy, saucy deliciousness with lightly toasted breading on top. YUM! My wife had a beat salad that was simple, and perfectly well balanced on the palat, hazle nuts added a crunchy texture while the sweetness of the beat kept the other flavors alive. A big thank you to Café 440 and their staff, they did a great job and have earned a lot of business by demonstrating who they are and what they have to offer.
