I agree with Becca. Tana, the receptionist is not rude, she’s simply very efficient, and that can translate into brusque to some people. She has a lovely smile and is very helpful.
Since this is a review of Dr. Dunham, all I can say is that over the years I’ve been going to him, I’ve been very satisfied with him. I can say the same for his hygienists.

It’s been years since I needed a dentist and when I chipped a tooth a friend told me about Dr. Dunham. I was so thrilled to be able to slide right in for an exam thanks to the great luck of someone having cancelled an appointment that morning!
Scheduling has been fast and easy each time since then. I understand where the other review gets the short responses from reception but it’s more efficiency at it’s best than rude. The receptionist knows patients, you don’t need to explain to her who you are and what you’re there for, I love it. Just stick your head in and say hello, then she’ll let the others know you’re there. Something I prefer to jumping through hoops to just have someone figure out who I am in the first place.
Dr. Dunham and his assistants are some of the nicest medical professionals I’ve been to. They’re always concerned about patient comfort and make sure that they never seem rushed, which is important when they’re working on your mouth!
I’m one of those crazy people who actually like the dentist because I’ve had a blessed dental life, always had great dentists and limited problems with my teeth. If you’re scared of the dentist, you’ll find the comfort you seek in this office.
They work with Dental Plans if you don’t have insurance and it helps lower the cost by a significant amount. It took three visits for my crown, first exam, initial appointment for preparing for the crown and the crown placement itself. All less than a thousand dollars in the end. No dental work is going to be cheap but I got treated amazingly and that always makes having to shell out big bucks easier in the long run. Also the work is amazing, Dr D really makes sure that he does it right the first time.

5 stars for Dr. Dunham — he’s really good! He helped me over the fear of dentistry.
1 star for the receptionist… she’s rude to us, she’s rude to her staff, she’s condescending, and she’s what’s going to make us go see a new dentist. I wish Dr. Dunham would find a friendly face that will greet the customers, not her!!!
Be prepared when you walk in to get a short response at check in… ouch!!!
