Had what I needed, could have been nicer. Bought a Charlie Parker album. It was $ 18, also got another album for $ 3. All I had in my wallet was a 20 and since the second album was a little scratched up, I asked if 20 would work. He said no way. It was a factor of one dollar and the teller didnt give a crap. Won’t go back there again.

I love this store like a pile of kittens. It makes me hold myself and giggle with joy. They have great and esoteric music selection. Show cased is local artist’s work. They sell me my addiction. Big ol’ thumb up!

The Museum of Unfine Art is less of a record store, and more of an experience. Everytime I visit, the Residents are playing. Way odd. It’s a small store, so there isn’t much of a selection, but that’s quite alright. My biggest issue is the general lack of organization. Don’t get me wrong, I love taking my time to go through records, but it’s more helpful if there is some sort of method to the madness. I truly enjoy visiting this shop, though. And if you’re looking for a theremin, they’ve got the hook up.

Cool little store. Lots of obscure and hard to find music on both LP’s and CDs. They stock some DJ hardware too, which is cool. They also let local artists display their art on the walls. Horray for businesses who help out local artists!

My first impression was the awning reading«art music tobacco», and I knew that somebody had their head in the right place when they started this shop. We went in after a meal at nearby Morning Glory Café, dog at our side, and were met with pleasant conversation on french cinema, collage art and canines. Always a plus when a shop isn’t biased against dogs. We picked up a small watercolor/ink print for 10 $, always a pleasure to support local art. Also, any art/music shop which sells electric moto-cycles is in a category of their own. I’ll be stopping by here frequently, to see the new local art showings and to browse the cd selection.

This place is elusive and kiiiiind of amazing. I remember trying to go here on several occasions and either not finding it or finding it closed(they have weird hours). Once I finally made it inside with my friend Collin and we probably spent an hour inside looking at the photographs on the walls, the clothes and the records. There were some seriously cheap(and slightly beat up) records, a few of which I purchased. This place is definitely worth a browse on a weekend afternoon.

For being a place that specializes in «unfine art,» this store/museum is actually an oasis of culture that flourishes in Eugene, and has since its inception. The Museum has become one of the most unique aspects of Eugene — it feels like our little 24-Hour Church of Elvis, with the Virgin Marys and the plastic dinosaurs and the retro electronics and the blue and the irony and the Japanese imports. It is a place where the out-of-place don’t have to feel out-of-place anymore, and that is always desirable. If it can be ordered, Shawn will get it for you, and once he learns your tastes, he will recommend all kinds of obscure and rockin’ shit. He also provides a smörgåsbord of cigarettes, bizarre energy/health drinks, and the occasional truly breathtaking vintage garment, usually of the so-ugly-it-is-spectacular variety.
