Really good food! I think one of my favorites from what we tried was the Rooster sandwich(pesto, ham, etc). The pork fecta was good but I hoped for a more traditional Cuban with a twist. I would t call what the served up a Cuban by any means. The koolaid pictures were different but good. Only reason I knocked them down to 4 stars is that they don’t offer their full menu every day. There were a couple of things we wanted to try but they didn’t have that day. Don’t have a regular menu if you don’t serve them regularly, or at least mention that the daily menu is limited and all items aren’t served daily.

More like bacon city-state, considering how paltry they are with their bacon portion sizes. I got the Vampire killer($ 9) and it was pretty much a plate of fries. The bacon part was snicklefritz.

Very delushious. I happened to order the one item that didn’t have bacon but had them add bacon and was so wonderfully delighted. Great combination of flavors. Not a great pic and dose not do the amount of chicken on the sandwich justice.

Agree with prior comment«Just Wow!». I tried their 8 cheese grilled cheese — it tasted even better than it looked. and the tomato bisque it was served with was the freshest most amazing tomato bisque I’ve ever had. I was not expecting much from this — figured ‘oh ya something topped with bacon — woohoo’. I was absolutely blow away! Very good food and would definitely recommend.

My wife and I dropped by when they were in front of Viking Braggot Company one night. The deviled eggs were different, amazing and rich. We also tried the«You had me at pork» and really enjoyed that too. Definitely worth a try!

Bacon nation, why? Merica, thats why! This is where a young boy goes and will come out as a Man! The grilled cheese made my taste buds quiver to their knees. What’s better than cheese browned on the outside of your sammy. I must also ask where can I buy this bacon jam? I need more of this in my life, if your ballz haven’t dropped yet, they will after a dazzle across your tongue. The grilled cheese came with a tomato bisque that was clearly made from fresh tomatoes. Bring your neck brace because you will find your head kinked back to a clean 90 degrees with your struggling tongue cleaning out every last drop. The Cubans bread was nice and soft and had great flavor. The pulled pork had a serious flaw. I had a few burnt pieces. I tried to crunch through one but found myself with a nasty burnt taste in my mouth. This thing comes with the koolickle which is so awesome that I ate it first and left none for my sammy. I could have used some more pickle for the sandwich because it was missing some acidity after I made this unforgiving mistake. Without pickle it all just became a 1 note sammy… my bad. My bacon and cheddar hush puppies were clearly burnt as well. You can see how dark they are in the picture I posted. Came with a dipping sauce that tasted very similar to the blooming onion dipping sauce at outback. Hard to tell if something would be good or not when burnt. So I must go with — not. Last last issue was that less than half the menu on their website was available. I came in knowing what I wanted for the wife and I but left with none of what we had scouted out before hand. I will definetly give it a second shot, this place has potential. It clearly had a few quality control issues with how they cooked the meat and fried the hush puppies too long. That will be my make or break next visit and I will update my review accordingly.

Have been hitting up the food trucks lately and have been loving the ones that have been coming near my work. If you haven’t downloaded the Eugene Street Food app then you need to right away. Bacon Nation is delicious and oh so wonderful. I have only had one thing there but it was enough to want to ever since. I had their pork trifecta which is there take on a Cuban sandwich. Pulled pork was flavorful and the melted cheese and bacon and ham came together oh so tastefully. It was amazing. That is all I have to say, go try Bacon Nation, if you don’t then you don’t love food!

Very good. Grilled cheese was large and perfectly crispy. Lots of meat on the Cuban. Cherry Kool Aid soaked pickles. Like maraschino pickles. Really wish the chocolate covered bacon was available all the time.

Went and had some of the Bacon Nation Ohh No You Didn’t sliders yesterday. All I have to say is Ohh yes they did! They were amazing. Sweet challah buns, spicy quick pickled kim chi, a panko breaded bacon/beef/spam patty, shredded daikon carrot cilantro and green onion topped with wasabi aioli. The picture does not do this thing justice. It was the perfect mix of texture and flavor. Tip of the hat to the peeps at Bacon Nation, they will never let down a hungry stomach! Check them out at for their schedule, they are worth finding.

Just wow… all the way around. Very awesome that these folks were feeding us at claim 52. Our lady cook was so nice and helpful making us aware of their very convenient options such as pulled pork sliders instead of one big sandwich, so much easier to share with my kiddo. Some pulled pork sandwiches I have had elsewhere are disappointingly drowned in some sort of BBQ sauce but not this place. Their pork is so moist and full of smokey flavor no need for sauces. The bacon grilled cheese was mind blowing, round that out with yummy garlic and herb vampire tots and slices of fruit. Thanks for the great meal!

Bacon. Nation. Those two words will make half the county quiver — with good reason. So many things I want to try on this menu! –Hawaiian sliders made from deep-fried, chopped Spam and Angus patties topped with Asian vegetables, banana ketchup and wasabi aioli on Hawaiian sweet rolls –the Don sandwich, stuffed with thinly-sliced Italian beef and house-cured bacon, Swiss cheese, chopped giardiniera and horseradish sauce — a corn dog made from house-cured pork belly and served with banana ketchup and curry mustard — poutine, the fries covered with cheese curds, bacon and brown gravy. I ordered what turned out to be a huge sandwich built around chicken breast grilled with a ton of good Cajun seasoning. It was topped with thinly-sliced ham, their own bacon, cheese, tomato and a pesto aioli. How’d it taste? Ohmyfrigginggawd. The koolicle served with it(dill pickle brined in cherry Kool-Aid) was strangely delicious. The woman behind the window was really friendly. When I shamed her forgetting my pickle, she laughed with me and handed me two. Also had to buy the Money Bacon — three strips of bacon marinated in root beer, baked off with brown sugar, dipped in dark chocolate and drizzled with white chocolate and cupped filberts. Ohmyfrigginggawd. I feel like this is the next step in the evolution of bacon. Check out the calendar on their website, you need to try this food. They’re out four days a week, often at 19th and Agate, but they also make it around to a lot of our wineries and brewpubs.

Very disappointed. Been wanting to try for awhile. Noticed them at Pen Fed on Friday. Took my son for lunch. At 1230 he ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. 4 customers ahead of us. Shortly after 1 he got his sandwich with a «Thanks for your patience and here’s a free order of tater tots.» No explanation on the ridiculously slow service. We watched half a dozen people come up after us and get their food ordered and delivered before us. We waited patiently hoping that the wait would make this the bestest grilled cheese sandwich ever… The tater tots were tasty as are most things deep fried. The sandwich was very mediocre and a but soggy. My son was eating it within 5 minutes of receiving it. Soggy and mediocre flavor after a 30 minute wait. An explanation would have been nice. The tots did not make the difference. Fortunately there are plenty of other trucks to try in Eugene before I give Bacon Nation another try. I’m glad a lot of other people enjoy their food. I won’t be able to recommend them to my friends and they definitely need to pick up the pace at Pen Fed or they will be out. A lot of lunch breaks there are short and they need quick good food!
