If I could I would give them no stars… the weirdest emergency room I’ve ever been in. My mom was blacking out and about to faint couldn’t stand. mean while they asked her to fill out paper work and wait in the lobby??? wtf! How about giving me the papers and getting her in the back!!! I had to demand to see a doc. we were the only people in the lobby and it was not crowded. BTW did I mention after telling the nurse she couldn’t walk, was dizzy, and blacking out she stood at the door and asked her to come on back? How??? I had to ask the nurse for a wheelchair and assistance. Didn’t strike me as an emergency room Doc was very friendly… great attitude

I have been to the Euclid Hospital ER twice. Both times I was treated in a timely manner, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the doctors did a fine job patching me up. The billing department, however, is atrocious. I have been billed multiple times for the same visit, both times that I have been to the ER. I had paid both of my bills and both times dealing with them they sent the bills to collection after they had already been paid. Both times I have had to call multiple times and send multiple documents showing that the account is paid until they mark that the account has been paid in full. No one at Euclid Hospital’s billing department can give me an answer why I have been consistently billed for each service received three times. In conclusion, the service was ok but after dealing with the billing department I would not return to this hospital unless it was for an emergency. Dealing with the incompetent billing department and spending months trying to straighten out the hospital’s errors on my account was awful.

This hospital actually deserves two reviews. One for the hospital itself… antiquated, small rooms, uncomfortable and outdated OR’s, recovery rooms and patient rooms. Beds are uncomfortable and some machinery doesn’t work(my call button broke one day). Generally awful, though I had a great view of the lake. I had no choice as the Cleveland Clinic surgeon working on me works out of there. Having a choice, there would be several other hospitals I would choose first and I’m frankly shocked that the Clinic hasn’t begun updating this place yet. However, my experience with the staff was fantastic. Unlike other hospitals I’ve seen, I had absolutely nothing but positive experiences with EVERY member of the staff, from nurses, doctors and the like down to the housekeeping people. They were all respectful, polite and very helpful, as well as very good at their jobs. Now, if they could just be put into a decent facility!

I was just at this hospital for surgery to repair a broken elbow. My surgeon was the best. He is with the Cleveland Clinic. The nurses and other caregivers were all great. The problem was the physician backup coverage, there was barely any. The nursing staff, who did great work, was on their own, was left on their own. If there was a problem at night that needed a doctor’s attention, forget it. The rooms were tiny and three people shared one bathroom. The physical facility is nothing short of shameful. I think rebuilding is the only solution. Don’t go to this hospital with complex medical issues, just routine things. If you need physician coverage go to the Cleveland Clinic main campus. My rating is only for the hospital and not for my physicians who were far better than this rating reflects The nursing and ancillary staff was also far better. Food was awful. I would be very concerned to have a medical emergency at this hospital. Treatment would probably be delayed or just too late.

Fell on ice. My mom had her knee replacement here. Euclid is supposedly the orthopedic hospital. I smacked my hip pretty good, and wasn’t 100 percent sure as to if it was just a bruise, or a small fracture. I was pretty shocked with the fact that the doctor who examined me in emergency didn’t even do a physical examination. He asked me to point to where it hurt with my cloths still on, he didn’t even address the swelling because he didn’t even look! I waited an hour, was xrayed, waited an hour for those results and discharged. There was no fracture which I was grateful for, but the only medication I was given was one I tried and provided no relief, so that was sort of pointless. It was also supposed to bring down the swelling, with ice. 3 days later and still puffy, I’m a dancer so I’m basically f***‘d lol All in all I’m sure they see dozens of these in the winter, but to not even actually look at the injury as a doctor is just lazy, to not follow up on my pain level is neglectful. The only word I could use to describe this hospital’s ER is neglectful. Cleveland Clinic should worry more about making the hospitals they already have better, than trying to expand, so with expansions patients fall through the cracks. If this happens to you come to my house, I’ll give you an ice-wrap and some tiger balm. We’ll call it the Owen treatment of contusions. sounds official right?

My elderly aunt was in the hospital almost 2 weeks. She hated the food, could not sleep because it’s so noisy at night and got very little attention from the aides. The nurses are understaffed and overworked. The room was small and uncomfortable. It took 3 ½ hours to get her paperwork processed to leave, and this was with 24 hours notice that she was being discharged.
