I just noticed many reviews on this where the staff were«friendly» Those«friendly» staff must have all gone away — except one male that I never see there anymore. Now, there are at least one or two females there that are not very friendly at all. When I walked in, they go, «What kind of bread?» in a tired, almost irritated voice. I don’t know if both women there that work there are sisters, bosom buddies who hate certain kind of people or what(sorry; bad joke, but I did not deserve their bad atttitude.) I went in a couple time for sandwiches and cookies. The first time one lady said«we are out of cookies» she was kind of apologetic about it, but when I asked her if they had *anything* sweet, she kind of glared at me. Then the second time(last night), I asked a different woman if they were still out of cookies and she kind of acted a little irritated at me. In my opinion, I don’t believe that anyone working at a restaurant should ever act like they are mad at you when you have any questions or when you express that you would *like* something there.(they are often out of cookies and I miss that; their cookies are delicious!) Anyway, them being out of cookies so often and both women acting like they were mad at me — well — I think I will go to the taco shop across the parking lot now and have *yogurt* for dessert at the yogurt place! I don’t need a tude when I eat out, by ANYONE. I would like someone to act professional. Even if I am disappointed about cookies! Okay? I gave this place a very low rating because although their food is great, the«company» is not! Thanks.

Friendly staff. Didn’t have honey oat bread available. Store is a little disheveled. Overall good sandwich.

I went here for the first time in May 13, 2015 and ordered a flatizza. It sort of tasted like a pizza, the sauce was nice, the cheese was okay, but the crust did something totally unexpected. It almost pulled two of my teeth out! The crust was really tough, it was a little small, and even when I tried dipping the flatizza in water,(EWWWW) it was still REALLYHARD. My mom and auntie’s sandwiches looked a lot better, and I bet it tasted better than what I ordered. I guess Subway does sandwiches better than it does flat bread pizza.

I eat Subway everyday of the week. There are 4 different locations I go to between my work and home and this location in Escondido by far has the best sandwiches(I also eat the same sandwich everyday). Their bread is always so fresh, it never burns once toasted, the veggies are always etxra delicious and Jim and Reese who both seem to serve me are very pleasant, make a neat sandwich and always greet the customers once in the door. When they are extremely busy they have a good system going, the sandwiches get made quickly and they are calm and patient with the customers when people are in a rush. If you are ever close by, it’s worth stopping in this subway for their delicious sandwiches!!!

I usually don’t write reviews for chains, but I walked away feeling that they really needed to be recognized for their great service. Not just that, but they were friendly in a genuine kind of way. I wish I had the employee’s names because they deserve a shout-out. The food is typical Subway but the people will certainly make me remember it’s there when I want a dependable sandwich. Thanks!

I like this location because there is plenty of seating. The food is always fresh and the staff is friendly. I LOVE the Chipotle Mayo! It’s great on anything!

I know… it is Subway and it is a chain, but man was my service EXCELLENT! Seriously, it was quick, but all three people behind the counter were so friendly. Really friendly and honestly, it seemed very genuine. The lady who made my sandwich was quick and kept calling me ‘Miss’(unsure how I feel about that… but I guess it is better than Ma’am). The guy who rung up my order was lovely, asked me how my day was and we got to chatting while we waited for my card to be authorized. And they were nice to every person in line and I remember that the line look long when I came in, but everyone went through so quickly! The sandwich was good too ;)

I hate reviewing places like this, but I must say if you have to eat subway… this place always has phenomenal customer service. Order whatever you want its subway for crying out loud. Service here is just always top notch.

This Subway seems to have very friendly employees. The store is more generous when it comes to making your sandwich then the subway down the street on felicita road.

Pretty standard. I didn’t realize that there are 3 types of 9 grain breads– and I saw the separate sign for the 9 grain with omega and asked only for 9 grain and the girl, rather than explaining that they have 3 kept asking me «which one?» Dude… I didn’t freaking know. Don’t get mad at me!!!

As far as subways go, this one is pretty good.

I normally refuse to review chain type places but I occasionally make exceptions when I experience superior service and a pretty good made sandwich. An employee, I forget his name, I think its Al? Anyways, I decided to be adventurous and said I want a turkey sandwich… but he was kind enough to suggest toppings that would amplify my mediocre order. He suggested turkey avocado and bacon. WOW was I glad I took his suggestion. add a little provolone and toast it for a great flavor. I usually think people who make sandwiches were just preparing my food but this dude made it look like an art form. WOWZA. I would definitely recommend the turkey avocado bacon sandwich made by AL. I also was curious to try their new soups and he was kind enough to give me a small sample. I would recommend the broccoli cheddar. The only downside I would say is that once you enter the place, you leave smelling like the bread or as I like to call it… the«Subway» smell. I could definitely tell if you’ve been to one if you walked past me. I’m glad they came up with the $ 5 foot longs. Too bad the T.A.B. sandwich isn’t apart of that menu!

I’ve been to many Subways and I have to unbiasedly say that this is the best one in town! The owner, Kevin, takes great pride in his business and only hires the best employees. Providing customers with great service and a quality product seems like such a simple formula but I’ve been to so many subways that just never get it right. This location always delivers great service and a great product quickly and efficiently while always maintaining the store clean. It’s no suprise that several customers drive out of their way to this location. It’s by far the best Subway in SD!
