Been playing hockey here for years. League is very poorly ran in recent years. Guy that runs it doesn’t care about player safety and it shows in the referees as well. Very unprofessional and do not call games correctly. Make calls to benefit their buddies/favorites and risk player safety in the process. Facilities are clean and kept decent. Just need new personnel. No one seems to care about much at all going all the way up to the top.

The facilities are OK, but the administration and front desk personnel are so disorganized and unprofessional. I enrolled my kids into soccer and the staff never informed me about the schedule. The coach doesn’t inform you about practice days and game days either. He didn’t even have enough team shirts to issue one to my child. Go elsewhere such as YMCA, the facilities are cleaner, staff more professional and responsible.

The facilities — All are maintained, graffiti free, and are reasonably clean. Grass fields have an occasional gopher hill but it’s not a problem for long. ISSUE — The grass areas around the soccer fields are always muddy, even in summer. This is a problem during team pictures as the photo people are forced to park in the mud and all the kids get really dirty. The Staff — Staff are helpful, especially those that also work refereeing and signing up kids for soccer. They are accommodating to requests(making sure you get the same coach as last year, or making sure you DONT get one of the horrible, overly competitive coaches). ISSUE — Some kid coaches receive complaints from multiple parents over multiple seasons but nothing is ever done. Complains consist of over aggressiveness with drills which include yelling and negativity(We’re talking 4 – 5 year olds here), and also I’ve seen Billy Martin-esque outburst against the kids ref. Fortunately, most managers are great, but there are a few bad eggs. What to know — Overall this is a great facility(soccer, hockey, skate park, softball, etc etc).

This sports center is located right by the first tee for disc golf. I came here to look around at the shop and look at the discs. There was a few people working there, and the guy who helped me was super friendly and knowledgeable. I love it when people are passionate about something and really want to help you out. He helped me pick out a disc thats«good for girls», and that Sean Gecko R can use too. I was super happy with my purchase, and I will definitely be back to check out the discs next time I come to kit carson. There was a really really nice looking skate park behind the sports center!
