Disgusting food and drinks and even worse customer service! If you’re not satisfied with your purchase don’t even dare asking for a replacement or a refund because the manager will put up a stink! Not only did she undercook the boba in my beverage, when we tried to return it she refused because she would b losing money. So she proceeded to scoop it out, we asked for her to remake it without boba and she refused again saying it would be a loss of money. Well lady what you lose is any chance of repeat customers. If you enjoy being treated like your hard earned money doesn’t count for anything this is the place for you. She also started complaining about us before we even left, classy. Besides all that the food was dry and like a wanna be Panda Express. Save yourself some time and money and just continue going to panda.

Escondido sucks when you wanna get your exotic Asian food fix. You want Korean or Indian food? Too bad, Escondido doesn’t have those restaurants… yet(I pray to God that Escondido will have those ASAP). So, you have to settle for the usual Chinese and Japanese. Don’t get me wrong, I really LOVE Chinese and Japanese food but if you’re a picky eater like me, you just want to try something new all the time Now, this is among the best Chinese restaurants in Escondido. You get a lot of food for less than $ 10. Best of all, THEYDON’T USEMSG! I’m sensitive to MSG; that stuff makes me feel sleepy all the time. The con of this restaurant is that the food selection is super limited. China is a big country with a lot of people so as a result, the food is super diverse. This one has the usual chow mein, egg roll, fried rice, and other kinds of food you’ll find in your typical Chinese restaurant but still, you get a lot of good tasting food for less than $ 10

I went in here today out of curiosity I’m looking for places that offers good food that are freshly cooked and this place doesn’t use MSG so that’s a plus! Mimi was the girl who tookmy order, she’s friendly and helpful. They have good equal portions size and selection, price is average. I got a 2 entrée order with fried rice, orange chicken and beef & broccoli, a side of egg drop soup and cream cheese ragoons. Also they serve BoBa! I got honey dew it was delicious! The food was good can use a lil bit more flavor, I guess for the meats because as I mentioned they don’t use MSG that can bring out the umami flavor but it’s not bad. I would recommend this place as an alternative to Panda express. I would come back and try other dishes they say they have different selections everyday.

If lukewarm, mediocre Chinese food is your style; then this is your place. Up there with the worst I’ve ever had. Didn’t help that they«ran out» of almost half the menu. Friendly staff, not good food.

I stopped in here out of curiosity while my husband was getting grown-up juice from the liquor store next door. I had my wisdom teeth out a couple weeks prior and all I’d limited myself to was homemade porridge and mushy bullshit that I thought would help me lose weight.(I didn’t lose a thing. Wait, how much do wisdom teeth weigh?) So of course I walk in with the intention of getting… more soup(what a maroon) and to scope out the digs. Upon the ring of the door censor I was greeted by a cute young lady with braces offering help. I’d later learn this was Maureen, aka Mimi. I told Mimi I knew I wanted soup, but was being very selective otherwise, due to recent dental work. Ordered a large container of hot and sour soup, and a small container of Kung Pao chicken. She gave the soup a hearty stir before generously ladling, and with genuine concern about the sensitivity of my teeth, offered to pack up everything in the Kung Pao except the peanuts so that I wouldn’t have to sort them out later. I took the sweetheart up on her offer. And melted a little. Since I only had two items, my review is mostly inspired by Mimi’s service(which normally precedes food in my higher ratings). Although most likely standard practice, she offered chili sauce and soy sauce for my to-go order. I said I had both at home and politely declined. Then to her inquiry as to whether I’d need plastic utensils, I gave the same answer, insisting«I don’t wanna waste your stuff.» «How about a cookie, then?» I accepted it as a treat for my husband. She carefully double bagged my order and rang me up. The total for both was $ 7 and change. There was no option for me to tip with my debit card and I had no cash, so I went next door and did a cash back transaction to get five singles. I returned and she emerged from the doors again, surprised to see me. I explained that I wanted to tip her for her candor and service, and she was extremely grateful. I left smiling, but not before she promoted the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. The only missing star is because there wasn’t as much selection as in the Unilocal pictures, and the offerings were mislabeled =\ But overall, if this is the result of new management, then I’ll certainly be back. My soup was«lean-over-the-sink-and-slurp» delicious. The Kung Pao chicken pieces were tender, veggies were al dente(didn’t hurt my gums, not so overcooked they were soggy). I’m glad I went back to give her a couple bucks, especially because I opened the bag to find utensils anyway… which I used to immediately dig in.

Better than Panda, that’s for sure. The food is okay, it really is hit or miss. I guess it depends on who’s cooking. My favorite thing to get here is the orange chicken. Their portions are large, but mainly with fillers. They will put more of the veggies on things than the meat, but that goes for most places. The staff is friendly the restaurant is clean and the food is fresh. Although I don’t think it’s authentic, but fresh and good nonetheless.

So was looking for a new Chinese place to try out since my wife and I were getting burnt out on Panda Express and found out about this place right here on Unilocal. Food is pretty good overall(kung-pao chicken, orange chicken, beef broccoli, and teriyaki chicken). Would say they are a nice alternative from what we are used to so that’s a plus. White rice and chow mein are excellent as well. Good vibe from the restaurant overall. Everyone was friendly and food were made fresh. Definitely will come back here for a Chinese food fix.

The food has more of an authentic Chinese taste compared to Panda Express. I love coming here the staff is friendly and I enjoy the atmosphere. They also have the best boba drinks! Everything is well-priced and food is always fresh. Always satisfied here

Got to love this place when you need something fresh. As far as I’m concerned it’s fresh and easy cause they believe in food being fresh and keeping customers happy. plus the menu is always changing to better the meal!

This place has new owners and they cleaned the place and made the food so much better! I love their orange chicken and egg rolls. Great new and friendly owners. The prices are very cheap.

Huge servings of very bad Chinese food. The sweet & sour chicken was particularly appalling, with huge amounts of soggy oily batter covering tiny pieces of chicken. The fried rice was dried out and hard. If quantity is what floats your boat, this place is good. If you’re looking for good Chinese food, look elsewhere.

I love this place. Don’t even bother going to Panda Express because this place is about the same price and they pile the food on. I like to support local business owners so I would rather come here anyway. Egg rolls for 50 cents and I love the beef with broccoli. I really enjoy this place and it doesn’t deserve the bad wrap that it gets.

i originally came here because I needed to use the restroom and of course one cannot use the restroom unless they purchase something to eat. So I did. My group and I ordered various sides for the combo plate, and honestly it’s just like Panda Express. I wasn’t terribly blown away by this place. I would rate it average and decent. So if you want to play it safe, this place fits the bill. The guy working there was friendly enough, too.

This place was pretty good. Myself, wife & kid ate here. I ordered 2 combo plates and the wonton soup and it came out to about $ 20.44. I was thinking I could have gone to the buffet for a few more $$. We got half noodles & rice, the noodles didn’t look to good, but that was my favorite part! Rice was good too! Also ordered orange chicken, beef & broccoli, and I forget the rest, we all shared our plates and they gave us extra bowls for the soup. The food was good, when we finished I didn’t feel greasy like some other places and in the end I’m glad I didn’t go to the buffet, and gorge myself. The wonton soup was good, the wonton’s taste like they were freshly maid and had a good flavor. There was pork, chicken, broccoli, and a few other ingredients I can’t remember and was served piping hot! The broth was ok, a little mild for my taste… but I spiced it up with the Soy Sauce and the Hot Sauce there on the table, and it gave the soup the kick that I was looking for. That hot sauce was pretty hot but it had a really good flavor and went well with everything else we ordered. I like the wonton soup and will be back just for it, but at the time of this review it was about $ 7 and some change. I live in Valley Center and can say I will be back to get my fix for Chinese takeout next time I’m craving it! My only complaint is that you have to buy your drinks in a can or bottle, they don’t have a soda machine with refills, and the prices were higher than some other places that I have been to. Very nice people working here and over all… a positive experience.
