Plenty of food choices but poor quality. The crab legs were old and the other meats were terribly greasy. Many of the items, such as dumplings, we’re not fresh or at least tasted like they had been sitting under lights for quite some time. I did not try the desserts or the sushi.

Cheap, mediocre quality food. Vegetables were cooked well, but meats were either too fried and greasy. Sushi was decent though. Good value for lunch.

I’ve given this place several chances. Not going again, sorry. Tables and chairs were super disgustingly sticky. The drinks tasted weird. I always like to go and check out the places myself, because everyone likes things different and react different. So it’s really up to you.

I am wondering how is this place getting anything above 2 stars. I decided to try this place with my buddy and I based this place from the Unilocal reviews that were left. I said, lots of people are giving it 4 – 5 stars so I said lets give it a try. When we first walked in, we were greeted by the host that was wearing a surgical mask. I thought that was weird as hell. But whatever we go in. We get seated and they asked us what we want to drink. I ordered a diet and my friend ordered some tea. The server were slow to refill our drinks. They only refilled it once or twice while i was there. Other places i have ate at were always on point with the refills. So after that we decide to get our food and start eating. Everything didn’t look that great. The things were coming out from the kitchen so I know it was fresh. The chicken choices looked like the chicken was diced. The pieces were not big at all. People did mention there was sushi. But man, none of the sushi tasted correct. It all had a funny taste. Luckily I did not get sick after eating the sushi. I would AVOID the sushi at all cost. They also have an area where the guy cooks your food on this big hot plate. I did not try it for I didn’t think that would be good either because of their other offerings. A few things I did like was the Coconut Chicken and there was a beef /steak item that tasted pretty good but other then that, the deserts were also lacking anything decent. The price is cheap but I would pay a couple more dollars for higher quality food. I would not suggest this place to anyone and will probably not be coming back.

This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Erie and I’m here a lot when I’m hungry after school after work because it is really affordable for me being a college student I need a cheap place to eat but the food for that price is just amazing I go to S & S buffet sometimes and I pay about $ 13 for a meal and I go here and I pay $ 8 for a meal and it is way better here I really recommend getting here it’s a five star place

You can’t beat Impy China for the price! Great food, extremely well priced! Also, for the college crowd, you simply can’t find better hangover food anywhere!

This was one of the dirtiest restaurants I have ever seen. The food was awful with way too much oil in everything… even the vegetables.

Best buffet in Erie. Reasonably priced. Offers wide variety including Mongolian BBQ, sushi, and desert bar.

What can I say… cheap chinese with cheap sushi. I’ve eaten here 20 times and its solid and Iike it. Every reasonable and the family that runs it are really nice people.

Great selection. Sushi too. Plus a hibachi grill. It’s clean. Lots of room and busy so you know the food is good. Light music in the background for ambiance. The wait staff is friendly and can speak English. :)

I have been a steady customer here for a while now. They usually aren’t too bad if a restaurant to go to. This was a bad experience and has definitely dropped their places my book to number four of all the top Chinese restaurant places. Some of their food was rock hard and tasted bland. Also had to wait a long time for refill of our waters and when they did the lady brought is plain tap water with no ice. I’m no stickler or anything but the water did not taste that good. After that we had to wait on water again and then had to specifically ask for ice. Not a good experience at all

There seems to be two distinct classes of Chinese food in Erie: Scary or Scary-Expensive. This really seems to be the only middle ground I’ve ever found. Okay so there aren’t like 500 main courses, but I’ve been to some rinky-dink paces and this isn’t one of them. They have a nice selection of both meat and veggies, soups, and sushi. The desserts are kind of a joke, but they have fresh fruit!(And MANY people in Erie could benefit with less cake and more fruit) The sushi is actually really good, and the Mongolian BBQ is too. The dining room is outdated but it’s clean! The fish tank is kind of a downer, like 20 goldfish in a 15gal tank. I’ve never seen it dirty but it’s sad none the less. The bathrooms are definitely a little scary. Cleaner than you’d expect given that I’m calling them scary, but do yourself a favor and pee at home. All-in-all I’ve been eating here for almost 15 years now and it’s always a good experience for the price range.

I’ve been craving Chinese a lot lately — went to s&s Friday, had golden wok Sunday and this for today’s lunch(jeez). Out of the three, imperial china is superior in taste and price. The sushi is always delicious and so are the desserts! Also, if you get to-go, they do not weight your food so you can pack the box for three meals! All of that for 8 dollars? What a deal!

Don’t let the outside appearance or lack of appeal when you walk through the door turn you away. There are two buffet counters of main dishes and soups. Another counter with a variety of sushi dishes and desserts. And an additional table for Mongolian style food. I thought the food was really tasty and there was a typical variety(which I tend to like). I left out a star because the atmosphere could be a little more welcoming/inviting.

Not the worst, but certainly not the best in Erie! The food is better than the atmosphere though… Buffet is very mediocre, food is rather salty and just sort of thrown together… The build your own stir-fry grill is okay though(about the only cool thing about this place). The bathrooms are always gross… Be prepared for the bathrooms.

I had the pleasure of dining here during the first day of a business trip to Erie. I do not know how the Chinese food lover can beat this buffet for the low, low price of $ 6.49 for lunch. A gentleman who staffed one of the stations welcomed me to the restaurant before it was time to open and directed me to the buffet before lunch was to begin. He was gracious and kind. Some of the dishes are too greasy, but the items are generally high quality and tasty, and the selection is excellent, many dishes for every taste, including a Hibachi grill! The mystery is how this restaurant can make a profit when hearty eaters are chowing down for $ 6.49! Bravo, Imperial China Buffet!

Food is okay, but there’s a disgustingly dirty aquarium in the dining room. I can’t stand to sit near it, both because it’s dirty and I feel dirty for the fish. Is there some sort of health code violation related to that?

With eat-in, if you’re nice, they’ll accept custom sushi orders on all-you-can eat buffet prices.(Dragon Roll!) . Which is a much nicer and fresher way to eat.

I didn’t quite know how to interpret a place where the reviews were evenly split between five stars and one star. Now I do. The only smaller buffet table I’ve seen in a Chinese restaurant is in a takeout place near me that offers a 3.99 lunch. They don’t have much selection, but it’s all very good. So when I saw their tiny buffet selection — maybe 25 entries — I was hoping that meant they did a few things very well. No. The General Tso’s was chewy, almost rubbery. The crab rangoons were blah. The lo mein tasted like medicine. They had hot wings, but I’ve never seen wings that tiny. I didn’t know they grew them that tiny. They tasted OK, nothing special, though. The hot and sour soup was ok. So I figured I’d have better luck with their Mongolian Barbeque. Unfortunately, I put noodles in it, and they had the same horrible medicine taste as the lo mein. Once I picked out the noodles the rest of it was OK. Nothing special, but not terrible. I had a few crab legs — figuring it’s hard to mess that up. They were fine, but very skinny, without much meat in them. There were only about eight peices of sushi on the sushi station — only two varities — but I wasn’t brave enough to try it. It was cheap — less than nine bucks for dinner — but that’s the only thing the place had going for it. It wasn’t quite bad enough for a one star raiting — some of the food was tolerable — but I can’t understand how anyone could give it five stars. Cons: A tiny selection of food that runs from the mediocre to the truly horrible. Pros: It’s usually too easy to overeat at a Chinese buffet. This place provides no incentive to stuff yourself.
