Upon arriving, we had a hard time entering the door because the waitress was yelling at the hostesses. We put in our name and they said 5 – 10 minutes. We got seated about 20 – 25 minutes later. As we looked in the window while waiting there were tons of empty tables. We asked about them and we were told that they were understaffed and could not use all the tables. Note this is a Saturday at dinner time. Once seated the other people who were waiting pretty much stood at the end of our table. So within an arms reach they were standing next to us. Besides that everything else was awesome. The food was incredible, as was our waitress Danielle. She handled all of the tables in our section and still was able to be attentive to all of us. She made the visit better.

Most Applebee’s I have visited have been a good experience. This location needs help!!! First, why in the world would you have the bar lights on full??? Oh I know why!!! Manager decided to close the restaurant early on a Saturday night. It was 9:30PM, bar was ½ full and the restaurant was more than ½ full. Bartender was cleaning up, cutting garnishes and stocking when the female manager gave her instructions to start to close down the bar. WHAT? Football was on, people still coming in to eat and drink but there was no doubt staff was closing down and making people very uncomfortable. My guess, manager had either a long day or had a hot date to get to. We paid bill and left, not what we had become accustom to at a Applebees.

Typical chain stuff. Love the smaller portions and healthier options. Liked that they had calories on most of the menu items. Didn’t like that both the hostess and the waitress pressed us for«What brings you to ApplesBee’s today?» and then basically interrogated us as to why we were there. Since both the waitress and the hostess asked the exact same question in the exact same way I am assuming this is a new greeting/marketing thing they’re trying out… and not just one overly noisy waitress. I’m not really one to shy away from personal questions like that, although I do think it’s rude, the truth of the matter is my party and I had an AWFULDAY. I don’t believe in being rude to the servers so I gave a vague answer like«didn’t feel like cooking» but felt the waitress pried too much. It’s actually NOTAPPLEEBEESBUINSESSWHY I DECIDEDTOEATOUTTODAY. Not only did we all look like we had been through the ringer, but I felt she kind of went for the hard sale so to speak. She actually held on to the menu’s until I answered, and I wasn’t the only person who noticed this. WTF?! Even if the waitress couldn’t read between the lines and see that my answer was not going to be upbeat AND that I didn’t feel it was her business… she actually just probed too much. It was awkward and not a great way to start off a night out. The worst part of this was since she didn’t get the interaction she wanted(aka a real answer) she kind of treated us like we were a pain in her ass all night. No one was short with her or otherwise took our demoralized day out on her. Really, not at all. Dinner was the highlight of our day and we were all looking forward to a nice sit down meal. We all ordered drinks, appetizers, food and dessert, and tipped her well. We were quiet and clean, nothing was special ordered or sent back or subsisted or difficult. We all got the distinct feeling that since we didn’t play along in the beginning… we were being treated like crap. For this I blame AppleBee’s and not the waitress. I’m sure it’s no fun to pry into people’s lives and try and report back making a food server job just a touch more crappy than it is. Then they seated two families on either side of us and both parents allowed their kids to watch movies on an ipad with the volume turned all the way up. I admit it, I ***** hate kids who can’t behave in a restaurant, but I come from a big family, and I understand. I just expect parents to stay on top of it and know their own child and how much their kids can and can not handle in any given experience. I don’t’ flip out at the first cry. It was 9:30pm when we came in and they came in after us… so yeah… I was surprised. A couple of times the waitress had to ask us if everything was alright twice because she couldn’t’ hear our answer over the two parties on either side of us. She was obviously AWARE of the BS going on around us. Really… I feel this is the restaurants job to tell other customers to get it under control… and not mine. They were rowdy guests(but they were a couple of 6 year olds so I guess that’s okay!?, because that’s pretty much where society is at). Either the waitress should have asked them to turn the volume down or go back and alert a manager to it and let the manager deal with it. I was in no mood to do it, and had the customers got rude to me… my bad day would have come out all over them and there would have been a scene. Instead I chose to do nothing, which was the right choice for me at the time. Needless to say my dining experience wasn’t fantastic. The food was okay. It’s not like their food is so great they can justify this kind of experience. I’ve had very similar experiences here in the past few years. In hind sight I think they must get heavy road traffic being right on the interstate, people who have been locked up in the car for hours driving. I guess maybe a good portion of their customers are not real pleasant to work with because of that. It just so happens this is close to my house, so if I go, it’s the one I go to… and I should probably rethink that.

Meh. It’s an Applebee’s. Not much more to say about it. I ordered a salad; it was okay, not great, but not terrible. Cheap enough, and this location is right across from the hotel I was staying at, so convenient. Some odd characters there at 10:30 at night when I went in — probably fellow road-trippers. They offer delivery to hotels in the area until 10:00 at night, or takeout until closing.

We had a great experience, the long islands, and appetizers were delicious except our 2 for $ 25 meals; bourbon chicken and shrimp with potato wedges and four cheese mac and cheeze with honey pepper chicken tenders. I had to use ketchup on my chicken and shrimp, because all I could taste was the grill. And my husband, who will eat anything, took home him ¾ths his meal bc he said It was so plain. We were enjoying our long islands when the waitress asked if we wanted desert, and when we said no gave us our bill. We felt like we were being pushed out when we wanted to stay. I can’t say ill be back anytime soon.

Made a road trip dinner stop here. It was what I expected for Applebee’s. The food was fine. The staff was very nice. My only complaint was that my burger was«not pink» even though I asked for«pink.» Oh, and watch out for the lamps over the tables. Some of the tables aren’t centered under them and I got a big bump on the head leaving the table. Ouch!

Typical Applebees. Service was good, food what you would expect from a chain. Except for my steak. It had a chewy, plasticy consistency. The server did offer a replacement, but in the interest of time and not trusting the next one would be any better, I declined. They did offer a free small sundae.

Yuck. Maybe it was the time of day, maybe 2 pm isn’t a good time to be hungry and decide to use an Applebee’s gift card. Anyhow, it was a laughably bad experience. No vegetarian options besides a salad. So I ordered an Asian inspired chicken and noodles dish(sorry, can’t remember what they called it) and asked them to leave out the chicken. After waiting the better part of an hour for it — there were only about two or three other tables in the restaurant at the time — it was obvious that the chicken was picked out of the premade, microwaved dish. Stray chicken chunks and partly cold food. Cool. Not the friendliest of servers either but she didn’t drop anything on us so there’s that.

Ask for Sean. He was a great waiter. Fun, effecient and broughtnus great food. Saw another server get a hug from a toddler. Parents were happy customers

Stopped in while passing through town. Waitresses were nice, but it was Aaron the bartender who really helped us out. Not only did he skip the middleman and put in our to-go orders, they came out quite quickly and just as we’d ordered. That’s the kind of professional, snappy service I’m used to, being from NYC. Would go back just for him.
