Didn’t even get past the initial phone call. Some grumpy old man answered the phone, sounding less than enthused about the possibility of making a couple bucks. He asked what time we would be arriving, I told him probably later around 10, if that’s ok. He immediately scoffed at this seemingly ridiculous request, and in his best ‘I call the shots around here’ cowboy voice, gruffly told me «absolutely not, if you can’t make it here by eight, you can’t come in.» I politely said, «thank you my man, I guess I’ll take my business elsewhere,» and I’m not even sure what the response was as he promptly hung up the phone. I go to this area every year, but will avoid this campground. Too bad.

We just got back from our weekend trip to the Upper Delaware River Valley. We loved our campsite, right on the river! Perfect for tubing and exploring the ecosystem. Lots of biodiversity in the river beds and around the campsite. It would be a perfect place to visit, the only issue is money. The place does nickel and dime you for every little thing. It’s not«expensive», but probably a little pricier than other camping options. The location could be the driver. Also, the woman at the front desk was a little sassy. She was helpful when we had questions, but the sarcasm was not always appreciated. Overall, we would definitely go back. You cannot beat being right on the river!
