I really enjoyed this place. It’s a Coldstone style situation where they mix in the toppings on a marble slab. Personally, I actually prefer the taste of Maggie Moo’s. To me, it tastes much more fresh than Coldstone. This isn’t a place that I frequent, but for an occasional ice cream, I think it tastes great.

Holy mint ice cream Batman! I had a small scoop of mint ice cream with a mini snicker bar crushed in, and it was so sweet and rich it took me almost 20 minutes to eat it. Good thing it was cold out. Maybe I’ve been in Frogurt land too long and forgot what real ice cream was, but it was very good and creamy. It must have a high butter fat content to be that rich. The owner was minding the store on the Sunday evening that I stopped by for a wee nip after my sushi dinner down the street, and he was super friendly and welcoming. It’s a small joint, just a few tables inside(more outside, which is a plus) but the place is clean and well set-up. Lots to choose from and the prices may be a touch high but I guess the small I ordered was plenty of ice cream.

Awesome, albeit expensive, ice cream in the Streets of Southglenn. They are very similar to Cold Stone in that you can pick a flavor and then your«mix-ins,» which are folded into your ice cream. All of the flavors I’ve tried have been delicious– I’m partial to the cheesecake ice cream, particularly if you mix in Reese’s peanut butter cups, while my husband loves the sweet cream. They have a lot of ice cream cakes, shakes, sundaes, etc., but I’ve never ordered anything than ice cream itself. Prices are high, but seem relatively par for the course for this kind of ice cream. Yes, some of the servers are high schoolers, but I’ve never had a problem with my order. They do get busy, especially right when movies let out from the theater next door, but the line seems to move pretty well. Seating is limited, but I always get my order to-go anyway. It’s great to have a nice ice cream place in this neighborhood.

Maggie Moo’s has a decent amount of different flavors to choose from. The staff here is always nice and eager to help you with your order. I think my favorite flavors are any of their chocolate flavors or one that reminded me of a Smores bar. While the independently owned ice cream places are a little bit better in the area this place more than gets the job done when you want some ice cream and still have lots of flavors to pick from.

The staff was courteous and patient as we examined the menu of options. Once the ice cream was in-hand, it was as expected and delicious. I couldn’t discern many differences between this chain and others, thus the 3-star rating. Overall, good quality ice cream with plenty of options/suggestions, as well as the ability to create your own. I don’t think you can go wrong with Maggie Moo’s.

Makers of possibly the best banana milkshake I’ve run across. But I was more than a little disappointed that it ran me about $ 4.50 for a small size. Heck, Dairy Queen gives me a small Blizzard with chunks of Heath bars in it for less than that. This place thrives on being next to a few eateries and the Hollywood Theatres, as I imagine they grab a ton of walk-in traffic. The place itself is very stark inside, almost feeling unfinished – just a few chairs n’ tables. So I’m guessing the majority of their walk-in traffic just grabs their ice cream then walks out. In other words: I wouldn’t drive to the Streets of Southglenn specifically for Maggie Moo’s.

Disappointing ice cream, somewhat similar to Cold Stone Creamery in that add ons are folded into ice cream, but feels second rate. Interesting thing is I’ve been to another Maggie Moo’s in the middle of NYC, and yet had the exact same feeling, should give them an extra star for consistency! The ice cream is poor to average, the shop feels out of place in upscale Streets of South Glenn, and the workers seemed unhappy and mooo-ved slooowly. Maybe it’s more targeted towards kids, and so they’ll appreciate it. I’ve been working my way through ice cream shops around Denver, and there is much, much better(Bonnie Brae, Little Man, Gelato D’italia).
