We stored our travel trailer here from August to May of this year. Besides the inconvenient hours, we didn’t have any other problems. In May, we decided to store it closer to where we live, at a cheaper, 24 hour accessible storage lot. We checked out of our spot here, after being asked to move spots because our area had flooding issues. We were told it might take a month or so to receive our security deposit back. Here we are a month and a half later, and they claim to have sent the check out over a month ago. It was never received, and without a tracking number, they basically told us to take it up with the post office and refuse to place a stop payment on the previous check and issue another check without a fee to us. This is just plain bad business. If you owe a customer money, it is your responsibility to get it to them in a timely manner, not tell them that they will have to pay a fee to have it resent or send them on a wild goose chase asking the post office if they found a random, untrackable envelope. The lady even went so far as to say that it took 2 years for one previous customer to receive their security deposit in the mail. That is just downright unacceptable.
