His staff is friendly — great customer service and communication. I requested a consultation and they called me within two hours to schedule my meeting with Dr. Zeetser.
The doctor himself is super friendly and easy to talk with, very knowledgeable (he makes sure you understand what is going on too!)
So glad I picked him to help treat my ingrown toenails (he promptly cleaned and fixed my nails to the best of his ability, gave me a prescription for the infection, and scheduled a minor surgery to completely fix the problem).

Dr. Z is clearly a professional that knows the ins and outs of his business. Today was my first session, and I was nervous not knowing what to expect the damage of my injury.
Dr. Z explained the level of my injury and what is exactly was adding to it. I walked out well informed and felt really good about future progress. He even walked me through the cortisone shot!

I took my 12 year old daughter to get removal of ingrown toe nail and was nervous for the shot and procedure. Dr. Zeetser surpassed my expectations. He was friendly, caring, informative, patient and took his time. He explained everything to her in detail and made us both feel at ease. It’s always difficult when ones child needs medical care but he made the experience very easy. Best personality, amazing bedside manners an overall 5 star experience in every aspect of the visit.

I met Dr Z during the summer for a consult pain, pain on the ball of my foot … After he worked his magic I walked pain free !! Dr Z is not only a podiatrist but a scientist … the techniques he is developing will change everyone’s feet !!

Based on the previous Unilocal reviews I scheduled an appointment online which was a convenient experience. The doctor visit was quick and his team took x-​rays. He diagnosed the stress fractures as he saw them right away in the x-​ray. His recommendation was to get an MRI at a ‘preferred partner,’ who would give a better deal than most.
** UPDATE: The doctor wrote me personally stating he did suggest a boot, but I don’t recall that part of the office visit.
Before I left, the office staff was quick to gather a payment for services. All this made sense at the time of the visit.
1^st: I would need to spend a few hundred more for an MRI
2^nd: I’ve requested twice to get copies of my x-​ray (while in office & via phone + email)
** UPDATE: I requested an X-​Ray copy while I was handing the office staff a check. I worked with the young lady who has long black hair. She replied that would not be a problem and they would send it to me through the mail and confirmed my home address. Perhaps she failed to make a note of it in the record?! As soon as I wrote this Unilocal review, the x-​rays were received in my inbox via e-​mail.
3^rd: My foot was not improving just because I got an x-​ray
Fortunately I had access to a «boot» and after wearing for a couple of weeks, the pain and swelling has gone away. In my experience, Youtube and online research proves a better result IN MY SITUATION versus the service provided by this doctor.
** UPDATE: I received a communication via Unilocal message from the doctor or doctor office after first submitting this review. The message was insulting. In my opinion, the 3 out of 5 stars is appropriate for my experience and not meant to be disrespectful or assigning blame. While some might have success with this doctor. It was not my experience.

I really never thought I’d need a foot doctor in my life. Now, I wish all doctors and offices were as amazing as this doctor. This place is clean, professional, runs on time, and all around fantastic.
I had a broken large toe/​bone on top of my foot that healed poorly and after a year (in late 2014) I went to a foot doctor that I did not like. I searched online and found all these great reviews for this doctor. He uses zocdoc which makes things very easy to book. He was very detailed in reviewing my xrays and getting me treatment to get rid of the pain I had from poor healing. I saw him twice in 2014 and had been fine since. I said farewell, thinking I would never need a foot doctor again.
Forward to last week when I had an injury that needed immediate wound care and a minor office procedure. I called his office and he got me in right away (within hours). I have seen him twice already this week and the visits have not been pleasant (for my foot); however, the doctor and his staff have made the best of a very bad situation. They have shown patience, care, and paid attention to details of my injury. I am going to have to see the doctor several times more and while my foot situation has been fairly horrifying, this doctor’s ability to make patients feel at ease is amazing. I’ve seen other doctors that have zero bedside manner; that is not the case here. Also, the front desk staff really are great. Also, not something you always get with a very busy doctor’s office. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to see the nurse/​doctor.
I can tell by the reviews below and the patients in his office, that this doctor is in the right field, doing good work and taking his patient care very seriously. He is also realistic with pain management. Oh, and he tries to be funny when you are shouting in pain. Thanks, Dr. Z.

Doctor performed the new bunion procedure on me with a total recovery time of a month. During the surgery and every follow up visit (weekly!) he cared about the details and guided me through the proper care and medication.

Dr. Zeetser is a very professional doctor. My neighbor, who is like a son to me was having pain in his foot for nine months following a broken foot and a foot surgery. After visiting several doctors his foot was getting worse, swelling up to three times it’s size and turning purple and he was in severe pain every day. We referred him to Dr. Zeetser, whom we know is the best foot surgeon in Southern California. He was able to diagnose what was wrong with my neighbor, after the other doctors could not. It turns out that what was wrong was a very rare condition, but Dr. Zeetser was able to diagnose it. Now he is able to better understand and manage his condition, and we are very grateful to Dr. Zeetser. He was extremely professional, compassionate and he took the time to explain in detail what was wrong and how to handle the situation.

I was looking to get into a Podiatrist ASAP for two chronic reoccurring infected ingrown toe nails that I just couldn’t take anymore. This was on a Sunday afternoon. I thought what are the chances of me being seen on a Monday Morning? After researching

I signed up and Viola, I got an appointment on Monday morning! I was thrilled! Dr. Zeetser is a wonderful foot and ankle specialist with a gentle bedside manner. He made me feel so comfortable and at ease for my double toe nail removal. He was professional, clean, and provided me with clear instructions during my procedure from start to finish. He knew I was frightened but walked me through everything step by step. His nurses and office staff were so kind and helpful. They are organized, I had no wait time to be seen and they made me feel welcome. They also helped me get all my after care instructions and even a doctors note. Truly a friendly, clean, classy office with state of the art equipment. This was over all a fabulous experience for something so scary and painful. I would very highly recommend Dr. Zeetser to any one looking for a well rounded, knowledgable, competent Podiatrist. I am very grateful for Dr. Zeetser and will definitely return to him for any future needs. Thank you Dr. Zeetser and staff excellent job well done.

This is one heck of a terrific place. Staff is friendly and professional. Office suite is clean and modern. Most importantly, the physicians are great. Been with this practice since the beginning. Location is easy to find. First bldg SE of 101 off Balboa. My feet are a really big issue for me — but they are totally under control. I actually don’t dread going here. Who can say that about their podiatrist? Always a pleasure. Always!

What a great Doctor. From beggening to end nothing but compassion and honesty. I can sincerely say that it was such a pleasure for me to be treated by this great individual with such extensive knowledge of feet and how much they affected my life. I would recommend him to my family and without a doubt take my children if needed, I hope not.

Last weekend, right around new years eve I started to have severe pain on one of my toes due to an ingrown toe nail. I found it necessary to look for a Podiatrist on Unilocal.Found 3 with great ratings and review. Due to the urgency I send out an email to each of them, hoping to get some advice. The only one who did respond immediately was Dr Zeetser. Since it was the weekend I was very surprised to get a respond at all. I was so pleased and surprised to get a respond and he even took the time to speak with me by phone. My biggest fear of a procedure to work on my ingrown nail was the injections to numb my toe before surgery. He explained everything to me in details and gave me a piece of mind that I won’t feel anything. I got an appointment to my convenience. Going to his office was so pleasant. The office staff was kind, polite and very personable and Dr Zeetser, what can I say. A wonderful and caring man. I almost felt like making a social visit. He took all the time I needed to discuss the procedure, again and calmed me down since I was so afraid. I felt absolutely no pain what so ever. Nothing at all. I actually walked out the office after the surgery with a smile. The costs (since I don’t have insurance) was below the average and very reasonable. After the surgery I had quite a bit of pain at home, I contacted him for advice and in no time he responded and helped me to feel much better.
I can highly recommend Dr Zeetser. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and treats you not like a number, he treats he treats you like an individual human being.

Dr Zeetser is the Best in his specialty! I first consulted him in 2009 when I had seriously fractured my ankle requiring extensive surgery, and was in alot of pain. I had never had any kind of previous surgeries, and was pretty scared, and did not know what to expect, and he was knind, caring, and very understanding in my fragile emotional state at that time, and of my low tolerance for pain! Dr Zeetser performed the surgery, and treated me in all the aftercare, and am as good as new! I trusted him so much, that I had him do a 2^nd surgery on my other foot for a bunion to be removed, and that one also was performed with perfection! I highly recommend this doctor, for anybody that may need surgery, or to be treated for any kind of foot, or ankle problems, — He is the best, and along with his caring staff, you are in great hands!

I chose Dr Zeetser because of the great review he originally had from this website, but after my experience with my comment I can see why the 5 star one was the only one up.
I trusted Dr Zeetzer because he explained that my issue was an easy fix. Therefore i took time off from work and went into surgery. Not only did my recovery time exceed the estimated, but it turns out that the surgery he preformed gave me another issue i have to address now. I definitely feel like i was misdiagnosed as i still have the same issue i went in for plus some! I have been referred to another doctor which will now have to do 2 additional surgeries to fix all issues.
I am limping and in in excruciating pain.
I am sure other patients have had a different experience, but this was mine. If i had read a post like this maybe i would not be in the situation i am in today.

Dr. Zeetser is probably the best doctor I have EVER encountered, across the board. As I’m sure many will agree, finding a good, honest, sincere doctor/​surgeon in this city is near damn impossible. There are so many who will tell you anything to take your money, make you sit around for hours and leave you unable to explain what’s wrong with yourself b/​c they talk so freaking fast and leave so many of your questions unanswered.
I visited Dr. Zeetser after I had four surgeries on my left foot. My previous surgeon left with me four types of bacteria (including MRSA and STAPH) and an open wound that was getting worse and worse. I only wish I had gone to Dr. Z initially, because I probably would’ve saved about a year of recovery, a ton of money and so much emotional distress. On my first visit, Dr. Zeetser and his partner carefully and thoroughly spent nearly 2 hours with me inspecting my wound and determining what was the next plan of action to help me get back on my feet.
Because of Dr. Zeetser I am now able to dance again, run, jump, workout, hike and do all the things I love to do. I would recommend him to ANYONE having foot pain or needing a second opinion. In fact, of whomever you’ve gone to, PLEASE get a second opinion from Dr. Z because you will be shocked to hear how many doctors wanna cut you open for no reason, leaving you with more problems than you had before. (Seriously!) It’s absolutely horrendous.
I most likely will be needing bunion surgery (for the 2^nd time on my left foot, due to my previous surgeon’s haste and lazy job) as well as on my right foot. I feel so confident and assured being in the hands of Dr. Zeetser, and I know you will too.
To any athlete, dancer or anyone who uses their bodies to make a living, please know that there IS hope if you are dealing with frustrating foot issues. Take it from someone who has been through it!!! Go to Dr. Z!!!
