I LOVE Dr. Popkin. His staff, however, is another story. You have to call 2,3,4,5 times to get something done and even then it’s usually wrong. And don’t bother leaving a message — they either don’t bother listening to them or don’t bother calling back. Voice mail is on simply because it came with the answering service.

While Dr. Popkin is a kind and intelligent physician his front office is the antithesis of that. His front office is incompetent at best and dangerous at worse. With over 27 years of experience in the medical field, 10 of which spent as office manager and supervisor, I’m a pretty good judge of what a good medical office should be like and his is not that. That being said I’ve decided to change PCP’s. I’ve always maintained that you should spend as much time shopping for doctors as you do for cars.
