Priority is sometimes great and sometimes lame. You can get an inattentive bartender and sometimes cold food. But worth a try because they have great beer and cocktails. Tapas Tuesday is the best deal and as long as you get food at the right temperature then its great. Live music is a real plus

Love, love, love this place for brunch! The food is excellent and everyone that works there is friendly. We have made this our weekly Sunday hang out.

I love this place. PPH has a diverse menu, a little something for everyone. The cocktails are great. I can always tell if they know what they’re doing by the quality of an old fashioned, and these guys(and girls) nail it! PPH is on the smaller side, but the atmosphere is great. Live music during the week and good happy hour specials.

The two of us didn’t make a reservation, but there was an open table. The hostess said they were expecting a lot more people coming in so we couldn’t sit there. We asked if we could just sit there for a drink until a bigger party came and she said, «No.» I wanted to leave but my girlfriend said to stay for one drink. The hostess came back and said if we didn’t mind a «community» table then we could sit there. We ordered dinner and it took half way into the meal for a party of 3 to sit with us. The server was nice and the drinks and food were good. After getting over the first impression and welcome from the hostess, I enjoyed it here.

Great everything. Very personable and friendly employees, made great recommendations on what to get off the menu without sounding forced.

This place absolutely nails it. Wowwwwww. Great beer list, stellar burger, and perfect homemade choc chip ice cream sandwich. The whole menu looked dank. This place does it right. Get involved.

Meh… Nice idea, poor execution me thinks. Slider tray was okay, though one was dry and all, like the Mac and Cheese, needed seasoning. More pub than gastropub.

Last night I had a dinner date with my guy and another couple. It was 8pm on a Tuesday and the place was full but not over packed like it can get sometimes. The waitress helped us find a good seat for four. We were earlier than our friends so the waitress set us up with waters and something to drink from the bar. I ordered a margarita which was very tasty! Since our friends were late and the waitress could tell we were getting hungry she helped us pick out a starter. Of course we got the PPHFRIES! Soooo yummy and a huge portion that satisfied all four of us once the friends joined. We finally put our order in and I got the house burger, the chicken sandwich, and some Tapas since it was Tapa Tuesday. The meal was delicious everything was perfect and most of all the waitress was very attentive as well as fun. She had personality which is always nice! It was 10pm by the time we were done and ready to leave. I’m not sure what time they close but we never felt rushed. Oh also there was some live music there(which normally I’m not a fan of) but the guy was great, sang songs that everyone could enjoy and he was loud enough to still have a conversation!

Much like people call several individuals their«best friend», this place is one of a few places I call my «favorite restaurant». It has everything I enjoy: great food, good beer and a fantastic, mellow vibe. Don’t f*ck around, start with the BLT Bites. They are halved tomatoes stuffed with the ingredients you would normally find in a BLT sandwich, and are delicious while also being healthy-ish. The sandwiches are all solid, and while I have never had a dessert here, let’s just assume they are fantastic too. The beer list rotates and has something for everyone. Tuesdays are Tapas Tues where they have the divine, the delicious, the delectable… Purple Cauliflower Soup. Don’t think you like cauliflower? Shut your mouth and try it; you won’t regret it. Aside from the food/drinks the location is also great(minus parking) and the environment is friendly. Try it out with friends, dates, alone, it’s all good.

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch on a Friday. It was about 1:30 and the lunch crowd was just starting to leave. We picked up a spot at a window facing outward. We ordered the PPH Burger($ 13) to share and a couple of beers. The craft beer list was great, though we are used to much larger beer lists. PPH also has a variety of cocktails. The burger was okay. I hint of spiciness could be tasted but not at all overpowering. The burger was on the small side we thought. The meat didn’t taste seasoned at all. The char on the bun was a nice touch, however. The fries were great but they only give you a small container of ketchup. I liked the vibe. It’s up-scale, looks new yet has the beachy character of many other pubs in Encinitas. The staff was friendly and I’d love to come back to try the dinner menu.

This is a nice little join off the 101. They had a decent selection of craft beer on tap and a bunch of food on the menu. However, I couldn’t find anything good to rave about the food. I got the PPH burger but it was more on the bland side and very bland. The fries were soggy and boring. I did like that they used grass-fed beef, but the lack of flavor was disappointing. I also tried the meatball and they were on the dry side but had good flavors. The sauce mussels were pretty much just beer, lacking any real flavor. The crispy cauliflower was probably the best thing that we got. It had good flavors, wasn’t over battered, and came in a decent amount. My friends liked their cocktails and they did taste good. However, I opted for beer and they’re only as good as the brew that’s chosen.

I stopped in for brunch at the onsite of opening, and good thing I did because as the morning progressed, it begin to fill up rather quickly. I ordered the«Three Egg Frittata Your Way» which essentially you could chose from potato, goat, Jack/Gruyère cheeses, tomato, scallion, onion, mushroom, applewood smoked bacon, chicken apple Sausage which came with a side of fresh fruit for $ 12 I believe it was. By the way, I axed to potatoes. The frittata did not come with toast, so for a few dollars more, I added a house made biscuit. Although I would consider the frittata on the small side, it was nicely prepared. The egg portion was light and fluffy with an easy seasoning. I did add some black pepper however. Both the sausage and bacon had a great savor flavor, the tomatoes were a little sweet and provided a nice acidity, and all the cheeses were melted and tasty with the exception of the goat cheese which was dolloped right on top. The scallions, onion, and mushrooms were very flavorful and each provided it own distinct flavor and texture. My favorite items in the frittata were the mushroom and sausage. The mushrooms because they were very tender and well seasoned, and the sausage not only because it was savory, but because it also came with a very good mix of herbs and mild spices. The biscuit was a tad under done, but terrific no less. It came with some smarty room temp whipped butter and a side of silky honey. The biscuit was very moist and fluffy and arrived warm straight out of the oven. They tasted great and even tasted better smeared with the rich butter and dipped in the sweet honey. Service was quick but friendly. I appreciated the forwardness of the staff and their willingness to take a few minutes to explain the brunch menu. Very nice brunch spot and then some…

Good food, but poorly managed. Just one bartender/server for the whole place at 1:00p on a Saturday. Service was slow as hell; nearly 30 minutes to get our food(3 burgers and mac-n-cheese), begged for water refills 5 times in 90° weather. Might consider elsewhere if I’m hungry or thirsty. Would have been 2’s, but the food helped.

This place has a killer happy hour, so if you can make it here before 6pm, I highly recommend it. Things that are yummy: Everything. Drinks that are yummy: Everything. I have nothing bad to say about this place — the staff is very friendly and the service is fast. We’ve been here twice in the evening, and sat at the bar. I ordered cocktails, and the husband ordered beer. We’ve tried a good portion of their apps — wings, bread, cheese/meat board and the mussells. I recommend all of them! They do have a small parking lot attached, but there is also ample street parking if the lot is full.

This review is mainly on their happy hour. When I look for a happy hour spot, I look mainly for food deals which trump drink specials since I’m not a big alcohol drinker. I do like my adult beverages, but I’m not really a fan of beer, and I’m satisfied after one drink lol. So we chose this place because it had a full bar, with a big beer selection. Happy hour deal is $ 2.00 off appetizers, and I think it’s also $ 2.00 off drinks. We ordered: — Priority fries(topped with Parmesan/garlic/Gorgonzola) — meatballs with soy glaze — Pork belly bites(a lil dry) — Black Mussels with b. saffron sausage shrimp broth — Brussel Sprouts(I’ve had better) Drinks: — Mai Tai — Sunset Fizz(beefeater gin /aperol /lemon juice /simple syrup /soda water) The best thing was probably the fries, everything else was just alright. The sprouts could’ve been a lil crispier, the mussels were pretty good(Pappayo’s is still my favorite). We got there around 3, right when happy hour started, place wasn’t busy. Good customer service when we went. I swear our server looked like Macklemore…

Came here for my birthday dinner a week ago with the bf, some of his relatives, and some of my cousins. I knew upon looking through the reviews that this place was small so I knew that it would be a bit of a hassle/close to impossible to find seating for 11 – 12 people. Upon arrival and hesitating a little on the number of my party size, I let the hostess know I would be expecting a large group(originally I did say for 15 people but some backed out. phew). There were a few groups nearing the end of their meal and she let me know it might be a little bit of wait until she could get those tables cleared for me. I understood and it was okay since only my bf and I were there(everyone else was luckily late). While we waited, they allowed us to sit by the bar and order a few drinks if we liked. There was an entire chalkboard wall dedicated to the beers they had on tap(I believe there were 18 total but two had run out completely that night). They also had a smaller menu catered to their signature cocktails and brands in their bar. Bf got a beer(Great Lei IPA. forgot which brewery it came from) and I got a martini(On the Prowl). The martini was a little tart and a little spicy(cinnamon syrup) and just right on the amount of alcohol. You know what I mean if you’ve ever had a martini somewhere else and it was more sweet/tart than alcohol… this was perfectly balanced. Got seated and two of the tables were stowed away for my party. I believe we sat 6 – 7 people comfortably in each table so that was pretty good. I liked their décor as it was modern, a little bit of vintage flare with older pop culture(yeah A.L.F.) as well as vintage cameras. The bar was a bit more modern looking than the restaurant but more homey with older working light bulbs hung as decoration. As far as food, I shared the sweet potato PPH fries(string cut fries with sea salt, citrus honey dip and ketchup dip) and got a side of their Brussels sprouts. Boyfriend HATES brussels sprouts so I had to feed him one(hehehehe) and reluctantly he ate one but because I put all of the fixings on it(bacon and caramelized onion). He said«I like it but I don’t really like it» which really means this one is good but I will probably never want to eat any other brussels sprouts EVER. Haha good enough for me! We also split the pork belly bites(portions were too small in my opinion to feed 2) and those were good. Good portion size for one bite, not too fatty, had citrus honey drizzled on top, and balanced in flavor. I was too full to eat anything else so that was it for me. Not sure why Unilocal says it’s not good for kids because there were a good number of kids eating here with their parents, and they have a small kids menu. Definitely A-OK to bring your kids here. PPH is a great place to grab a beer and relax, or even to have a relaxing atmosphere for a date.

Went to catch dinner with one of my good friends and we decided to come here to try it out. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The staff is extremely friendly and upbeat! We had Sebatian and he was great! The place is pretty laid back. When we arrived there was a private event going on next to the bar. The group seemed to be having a ton of fun so I would assume that this place is great for private group events! We were seated immediately and Sebatian came over immediately to take our drink orders. Drinks came out quickly. First, I would like to start that the servings here are pretty decently sized! For an app, we split the priority fries. They were proportionately topped and the topping with the fries were really good. For dinner, I ordered the mac and cheese(with pulled pork) since everyone left great reviews for it. It was extremely good mac and cheese. Extremely good. There was so much that I had leftovers that I took home for lunch the next day and they reheated really well. My friend order the shrimp tacos. She was pleasantly surpised when the taco shells were actually little lettuce wrappers. She was very happy with her order and said the tacos were really good and tasted super fresh. I was looking around at what other people ordered and there are so many other things that I want to try. I will definitely be coming back to Priority Public House in the near future.

Awesome place. A little more diverse menu than you’d expect. I got the filet and loved it… 29 bucks. The atmosphere really adds a star to this place. Safe for kids, at reasonable hours. Love the open air on PCH and live music that doesn’t force you to yell across the table. Mac and cheese with crab was really good. Burgers are solid 5 star. Pork sandwich was rated by friends wife as one of best ever, and all it needed was little more coleslaw. We were bummed the crab cakes weren’t available. If you’re in Encinitas this should be a top 3 destination. Fun place without annoying you.

This is a fantastic little kickback spot right in the heart of Leucadia. Pretty much everything here is top notch and extremely tasteful. As soon as you enter the priority house, you’ll know you made the right decision, I did… Beware, this place does get a bit crowded which would warrant an odd wait in their bar area, which is also crowded. Make sure you sign in on the clipboard hanging on the wall if you want a table… Trust me, it’s well worth the wait. We finally sat down after about 20 mins or so and a couple beers down. Ordered the chicken club, a set of wings and the Mac n cheese w crab. Omg, everything was beyond good! The wings had a great tasting sauce, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the crab Mac n cheese was absolutely outstanding! Topped with a fantastic craft brew selection and we have ourselves a winner in Leucadia. Welcome to the neighborhood! Pros– Atmosphere Beer Location Food Service Vibe Cons– Crowded A bit awkward while you wait Sign in sheet for a seat
