I had the Chella Hydra Defense Facial and it was 60 minutes of relaxing and pampering, which left me with glowy, luminous skin, indeed! The neck, shoulder, arm and foot treatment made it way above and beyond a facial, too! Meli is very warm, welcoming and professional.

I called every place from Carlsbad to Solona Beach one morning in all hopes of an opening for a facial and overall relaxing hour of my life. I had just had a rough weekend and needed someone to make me feel refreshed. Not one place had a time best for me until I WALKED IN to Luminous.
I did not have an appointment and luckily was able to get treated right away. Her boutique style spa is very comfortable and casual but, her specialty is high end and top notch! Extremely professional, clean and accommodating to my slim but, serious demands. My skin does not need much treatment, I would’ve let her rub water on my face for an hour just to be able to enjoy the neck, shoulder, hand, arm & foot rub!
Meli does not disappoint! I can’t wait to book my next visit.

I must say Meli was extremely thorough and does exceptional work. I came here originally for a sugar treatment for my back. It was a bit hot so it was difficult at first, but Meli adjusted the sugar to get it just right. It didn’t take very long at all. My back was clear and I had NO irritation, I couldn’t be happier. I joined her email list and she sent an offer for a gentleman’s facial which I opted in for. THIS WAS THE BEST FACIAL I’VE EVER HAD. All my little discolorations and sunspots vanished. I went home and my roommate could tell right away that I had gotten a facial. She really knew what she was doing, did thorough extractions and really took her time, which was nice. A lot of places rush through, but she took over an hour with my facial. I highly recommend her for facial treatments, she’s the best!

I just had a facial with Melissa and walked away feeling so rejuvinated! I’ve been receiving my skin care from her for the last 4 years and would not trust anyone else with my skin. I have sensitive, acne prone skin that always presents me with problems — every time I go to Meli for help, she gives me great, honest and very helpful advice. She also introduced me to my eyebrows, a part of my face I had never paid much attention to. This was my first time having a service in this space and although the parking lot was a little small and crowded, inside felt so comfortable and relaxing. Meli made me feel like I was in a whole other world!

Melissa has been caring for my skin for more than two years now. As a woman in my 50’s, Melissa knows how to turn back the clock. She has the latest in products and her facials are divine. I am amazed at how my skin looks each time I leave. Did I mention her business is cozy and comfortable. There’s a vintage fireplace in the facial room keeping you warm and relaxed. She does waxing too. Melissa is an artist when it comes to shaping brows. I highly recommend her facial and waxing services.

I’ve been with Melissa for over three years now and I highly recommend going to see her. Melissa is knowledgeable and really takes the time to get to know you, your skin type and your lifestyle. She carries a skincare line that is not only affordable, but it can also be customized to your individual needs. Her facials are wonderful and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to shape my brows. She truly has a gift — the massages she gives during a facial are to die for. Do yourself a favor and book the extra 15 minutes so you get the total experience. The only thing you’ll regret is having to get up off that table when you’re done!
