LOVE this restaurant for lunch and take home meals. For health reasons, we are a gluten and dairy free family that tries to stay as organic as possible. This place hits the spot for all of us. My kids love it too!

Unfortunately, read the reviews and thought this place would be great. Was not a fan, at all. Got a sandwich and soup and I could have made much better both.

OMGYAAAS! Just ate lunch here for the first time. My coworker and I are already planning what item we are going to eat every day here from now on. I got the tuna wrap and she got the veggie hummus wrap, both delish. I could only eat half of mine because it’s super stuffed with tuna and veggies. The gluten-free wrap to veggie/fish ratio was also perfect, just enough to hold everything together but not too much to take over the entire bite. My coworker also got a cinnamon roll, which I had a bite of and loved! It was a super sweet cinnamony bite of goodness. The cinnamon roll does use dairy and butter, but love that it’s totally gluten-free. The vibe of this place is definitely mom-and-pop restaurant. I don’t think the pricing was ridiculous, knowing they use healthy ingredients. I also like how they sell packaged items like gluten-free granola, paleo wraps, etc. Might need to pick up some items for at home next time I’m in. which might very well be tomorrow!

I really liked this place! So healthy but so delicious leaving a very guilt free feeling after your meal. I came here for lunch with a group of friends and after their meal, they felt like it was the«right» portion size. Parking was plentiful and easy to find and the restaurant wasn’t too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. I tried the algae shot(ahh!) – and it tasted like the sea. Haha(thankful that they gave out an orange to help chase this down). For my meal I had the falafel hummus salad which was pretty good. I was rather confused as to how to eat it though. It seemed like I was supposed to wrap it to eat it but I just wanted to dig my fork into a big hearty salad haha. Nonetheless it was still really good!

Very cool concept of a healthy eats option. Love how they have delicious looking desserts on display with the feeling that they can’t be too awful for you! I had to take away a star for their prices. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken panini(which was out of this world delicious), but thrown off by the high price for such a small sandwich! I am assuming part of the healthy concept, has to do with portion control?

Amazing and I will absolutely be a regular! I can taste the freshness in their ingredients and one of the few places I can go as a celiac! This was the best lunch I have had in awhile! The sweet girl that was working the front desk was very informative and polite!

My two main food items for the new year are acai and kombucha. Healthy Creations sells both here. The acai bowl, is in my top two acais: the presentation is beautiful and there is a lot of granola and fruit. The dish is fresh with antioxidants and this will become a regular spot. The kombucha drink was terrific as well. This fermented drink is loaded with probiotics and is part of my «gut redemption” — consuming foods that aid in cleansing the body. There is a bakery case with all sorts of organic, gluten-free delights, and also a appetizing list of dishes in their deli.

I think this may have been the tastiest healthy food I’ve ever had. I enjoyed the food here so much. Organic, local and gluten free. I had the roasted veggie quinoa power bowl and a cup of lentil soup. It was delish! This place is worth the drive if you don’t live in Encinitas. I’m still thinking about how good that herb goat cheese was in the power bowl!!! Yumzeez!!!

It’s one matter of quality whether a restaurant food’s ingredients are healthy. It’s another matter whether the combination of such healthy ingredients produces food that can be savored. Few places can boast using only fully and absolutely gluten-free organic ingredients. Even fewer can produce delicious food from such naturally dull tasting ingredients. This place is one of those few. Healthy Creations has mastered the art and science of taking generally plain tasting ingredients and combining them skilfully to create enjoyable food. The quality of their sandwiches and salads are exceptional. I had the Roasted Mediterranean Chicken Panini, a rich combination of homemade pesto, fresh and moist goat cheese, perfectly cooked chicken, roasted red peppers, and artichoke hearts for flavor and texture. The sandwich was light yet filling. It pleased my taste palate — Paninis generally do. And the house made, gluten-free, grilled foccacia bread was not noticeably different in texture or taste to the regularly toasted non-gluten-free bread used for Paninis at most other places. I also had a Quinoa Power Bowl: a base of quinoa topped with black beans, avocado, spinach, carrots, and other veggies. The portion size is generous. No complaints here. The environment is «earthy», consisting of homemade decorations showcasing mother nature’s life, beauty and vegetation. The restaurant seating space is small. Guests are required to place their order at the front and their food will be brought to them by a waiter. Water, condiments, silverware are easily accessible. If you want something else to drink, Healthy Creations offers a generous variety of healthy juices, smoothies and bottled drinks. The Goji berries smoothie I ordered had a texture and a degree of sweetness too much like frosting from a cake. I was not impressed(that’s the only reason I’m giving 4 stars). Service is good: courteous and enthusiastic; food is good; smoothies are ok. Overall, a slightly better-than-normal«healthy» gluten-free restaurant with an impressive selection of food, salads, desserts, and beverages.

I came here with my boyfriend because his brother recommended the place. There were only 3 other people in there, but it took 30+ minutes to get our smoothies. I’m pretty sure the unenthusiastic employees forgot about our order. Didn’t leave a good impression — my boyfriend’s smoothie had large chunks of frozen raspberries. Won’t be coming back again.

Funny, I’ve literally walked by this place tons of times since it’s been open. I take my doggie to get groomed 3 doors down, shop at the resale shop 2 doors down and even the Herb place. But never thought to walk in to Healthy Creations. Well, my hubby and I Unilocaled acai bowls as we were driving through Encinitas and saw HC had great reviews. So we hurried over. We shared an acai bowl and a kombucha(on tap). Both were super! The bowl had a good amount of toppings — almost enough to last the whole way to the bottom and the kombucha was really good with it! I haven’t liked it(the kombucha) before, but now that I tried it again here, we ended up ordering another on the way out! Wow, I’m super surprised this place has been under my nose for so long! I’ll be back! Maybe I’ll try a sandwich. ..

I’ve been coming to Healthy Creations since they have been open. I began with ordering their prepared organic meals with gluten free and dairy-free options. All you have to do is heat/cook the meal in the oven. I love that they use local ingredients to create healthy, tasty meals at affordable prices. Recently, they’ve increased their hours and are serving breakfast. Healthy Creations is one of my favorite places for lunch. Ordering ahead of time is super easy. The website offers a quick ordering program that you could pay online too. They have an app to order through as well. Of course you can call ahead or order in person. I typically order their tuna wrap or the Mediterranean Pannini. Kombucha on tap, frozen meals, snacks, house made pastries, desserts, and chilled baked single serve items in the refrigerator case.

Healthy Creations is awesome! The café is so cute, super clean and has a great ambience. I got the coolest breakfast ever. It was a gf biscuit, mozerella, basil, tomato and egg with a reduced balsamic on top. Holy Moly! Fantastic! There is a great selection of breakfast and lunch, drinks and deserts. I am super stoked, we will be hitting up this place regularly when in the Encinitas area. I have a potbelly piggy, who now gets all the veg/fruit scraps from the café. Healthy Creations also recycles in the best way. I am so glad for a super place to fill my belly and piggys too!

Wow, a mini grocer plus amazing homemade goods– EVERYTHING is gluten free, and there are plenty of vegan options additionally. And the gentleman who helped me was friendly– which is great since this was my first visit in. I got a quiche which was oh so good, and a side salad… Try the Orange Chipotle dressing!!! In the words of a certain famous movie star turned governor: I’ll be back.

This is my new favorite place! They carry Not For Sale’s REBBL drinks, which I love! Way to support the fight against modern slavery. My friend & I shared the BLTA and Mediterranean Chicken sandwiches… Loved them both! The staff are very friendly, too. I’ll definitely be back!

Super great and fun food here at this place! I really like their food. My friend and I ordered the BLTA and the chicken med panini sandwich and since it was cut in half, we shared and it was amazing. Drinks are on the sides and all great healthier choices. Seating inside is very limited. It is hard to find a seat with a friend when most of the tables are taken. Also the parking is a little hard to find. It in a smaller strip mall so parking can get a little tight with the different business and shops that are located around this restaurant.

This café is in my weekly rotation for lunch! Everyone in my office is so excited when it’s «Healthy Creations» day, and I pickup food for everyone! The most popular items that we order are the California Chicken Wrap or Sandwich, Quinoa Power Bowls(#1 and #2), and the smoothies! I am so happy to have this organic and gluten free option so close my work! On top of my weekly visits, I have been ordering prepared meals from the Healthy Creations website, and it’s my favorite way to cook dinner for 3 – 5 people when I come home from a long day at work. The prepared meals have everything cut up, measured, and separated — so all I have to do is put it in a pan or into the oven and follow the short/simple directions. I recently had the Tikka Masala Chicken with rice and it was incredible! The prices of the prepared meals are very reasonable considering the time/energy saved and the money that would’ve been spent eating at a different restaurant. I highly recommend the prepared meals!

I absolutely love this place! My sister, daughter and I tried them out and their service was friendly right from the start as we all had a couple of questions. We both got their quinoa bowls which delicious! My daughter loved her turkey sandwich and ate every last bite! We decided to have dessert and got their peanut butter brownies and they’re to die for!!! I bought another one for my husband and hoped he wouldn’t finish it-haha! :) I will definitely be back to try some other things on their menu!

I never thought healthy food could task so good, and after eating here, I quickly learned that this place is a testament that can accomplish such a feat. I tried their BLTA on sprouted wheat bread and instead of mayo, I asked for a side of house made pesto( ). The the bacon was crisp, tasted great and nitrate free. The sandwich came with a generous amount of greens, an average amount of tomatoes, and a small amount of sliced avocado( ). I would of preferred more avocado, but what do you do. The sprouted wheat was terrific and came lightly toasted. I was surprised how moist the bread was. The BLTA was great eaten with the natural pesto which had a mild garlic flavor. A great and even better for you BLTA. In addition, for a drink I had the Raw Cocao Drink made with raw cashew milk, raw cocao, cinnamon, and palm sugar. The chocolate drink came frothy and was quite delicious( ). It was not overly sweet, which I liked, and had a great natural chocolate flavor. I also enjoyed a oatmeal cookie which I earned via a Unilocal check in. The cookie was moist and full of health oats and a scattering of chewy raisins( ). The employees were all very nice and helpful.
