Mieko is a wonderful acupuncturist who truly cares about her patients. Her mannerism is kind and caring, and her technique is excellent.
I have been to numerous acupuncturists in my life, that range from the gruff old Asian man in a downtown area who knows what he’s doing but lacks TLC to the foo-​foo fancy spa-​like people. Mieko is very, very knowledgeable and effective, while also having an amazing bedside manner. There is something innately healing about her, and on top of that she often intuitively knows what would benefit my ailment.
I have been going to Mieko for over a year, and during that time, whenever other conditions have come up for me or my family/​friends, I always recommend her.

I have been going to Mieko for years. She is very versatile. Acupuncture (She is so good at putting the needles in) Cupping (great for inflammation) Massage (the best, it is not just a Swedish) and herbal remedies. So I go to her for body issues, stress, relaxation, and emotional. She is very intuitive about what needs to be done. I would highly recommend her to anyone new to acupuncture or seasoned.

Mieko is the best! My wife and I take turns seeing her each month, she really helps keep us feeling good while keeping up with work, kids, and stress from everyday life. Each visit is a treat!

I use Unilocal a lot but I don’t write reviews, however, I must write one for Mieko because she’s just that amazing and I want to tell everybody!
She has healed my body when it’s worn down from stress, exercise or when I’m sick. I swear she’s got magical hands that heal my body. I walk out feeling like new! She does it all… whatever it is that my body needs, from acupuncture to open the blood flow to massage but my favorite is the gua sha and cupping.
She’s the most open, warm and caring hearted person I’ve ever met. You will know what I mean when you meet her. Definite 5 stars! You will not regret going to her but I will say that she’s ruined me because I can’t be satisfied getting a massage anywhere else now. No other masseuse can do the job… must be the combine magic of acupuncture and massage. She’s got some seriously strong hands but she’s gentle where I need it also!

I found Mieko in ’09 and her style of compassion, intuition, and hands on throughout the session blows me away every time. No matter where I’ve lived, be it Europe, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, even up and down the coast of California, I have not found anyone who does what she does and makes me feel like I just journeyed through my body and soul to heal. Though I live in Monterey now, several hours away, if I were to need an acupuncture session I wait to see her.

Mieko is fantastic. She is very sweet and genuine. She listens to you and your concerns then sets up an appropriate acupuncture plan. I had never been to an acupuncturist before but she put me at ease and now I highly recommend it.

Mieko is the best! She is the first person I call when I get injured, sick or just plain need to feel better. Hands on Healing is such an appropriate name for her business. She has the ability to be very strong if requested, so don’t let her size trick you that she can’t do an awesome deep tissue massage. And when a massage doesn’t do the trick she also has the ability to do a great acupuncture treatment. If you’re sick, ask her about her cupping treatment. So Good! I cannot say enough great things about Mieko and her services.

I came to Mieko, to her Encinitas office, with a sever Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I could not work at all (computer work).
My work load doubled over night and my body could not handle it. My stress level was also very high. Mieko has done acupuncture to relax the nervous system and then to heal the arms. She also worked on my back and shoulders. To top that, she gave me possibly the best massage I ever got on my back and shoulders.
Wow. Within 1 session my pain was down 80% and I was able to work again. After the second session the pain went away completely. Amazing. I now go to Meiko once a week for as long as my work load is high to be able to support my body with this additional load.
Mieko is very gentle and caring individual. She is passionate about helping people and she is very knowledgeable.
Her acupuncture and massage combination is unique and it’s a winning combination. You leave there feeling relaxed and revitalized.

Mieko gets my body and mind tuned in just right before a big race. After weeks of training she is able to help me focus my energy and prepare for challenges that lay ahead. Swimming 25 – 30 miles a week and running another 40 can wear down your body, but after a treatment from Mieko you will feel like you can go even further.
Her ability to blend acupuncture and massage, and the physical and mental is unmatched!
