This review is for drive thru service only. I stopped by Chick-fil-a to get my lunch(to go) after leaving from a barre exercise. Wow! The drive thru line was very long, but anyway, since I was lazy enough to get off my car, I was persistent to go for drive thru. To my surprise, the line moved quite fast. I was there for less than 10 minutes, which was great! And what do I like the most about chick-fil-a? I can get as many sauces as I want, with no charge at all!!! Yay Chick-fil-a!!! Too bad that there are not enough Chick-fil-a locations in San Diego county…

I downloaded the Chick-fil-A app… This got me a free chicken sandwich, valued at $ 3.85. It was good… Matthew was a nice employee… I took a whole bunch of condiment packets with me: honey, hot sauce, mustard, ketchup… But styrofoam cups? WTF? I’ll probably delete the app soon.

Can you please listen when people tell you how many of each sauce they want? I give exact numbers so as not to be wasteful but this is like the 4th time the handout person has failed to listen. I understand it can get busy and that you might be tired and/or hungover, but take a deep breath, listen to the numbers and sauces, and get people what they ask for. Because I’m sick of looking in my bag and being short or just missing something completely. From the top down, you guys better start paying attention to details because details bring everything together.

Very clean establishment and not necessarily like the ones on the east coast. Friendly staff and my food always comes out great. Love their chicken biscuits

Fast and friendly! Had an awesome first experience. I hope they come to Honolulu. Our server was even nice enough to pose in a pic with us. Can’t wait to visit again!

I’m going to start by saying how much I LOVE Chick-fil-A! It’s my favorite fast food restaurant by faaaaar and they’ve always had my full support for as long as I can remember eating it(high school days). Now, this part of the review does not effect this location whatsoever because my experience here has always been pleasant. The service is wonderful, inside is always spotless and the line goes fairly quickly. Today, I got grilled chicken nuggets for the first time. I’m so disappointed with Chick-fil-A corporate office. They taste great, but why on earth is it so expensive? I got 8 tiny pieces of chicken smaller than my waffle fries! I inhaled them in one minute! I know 8 tiny pieces of chicken should not cost $ 4 something. My husband works in the food industry as a food scientist, specifically with chicken and deals with suppliers on a daily basis. The price of chicken should not change based on the way it’s cut, but on the weight of it. So why are they overpriced? I’m sure if I requested to buy just a chicken patty it wouldn’t cost as much and I’d probably get more chicken out of it. Gotta say that this is the first time Chick-fil-A actually disappointed me. Also, I got a meal yet I was charged .20 extra for getting a medium lemonade. It would’ve been nice had I been notified that there will be an extra charge for a medium, even though I didn’t order a medium. All I asked for was a lemonade with my order. Usually drinks are included in my meal unless I specifically ask to «supersize» or whatever you want to call it.

I don’t know exactly what it is but after going to the San Marcos location for so long, this one just doesn’t do it for me. The parking lot is semi– better and the staff are friendly here, but there’s a twinkle missing out of their eyes.

I’ve always found customer service to be on point at this location, whether inside or via the drive thru. The food has mostly been pretty good, but the waffle fries received via the drive thru are frequently lukewarm and meh. Because of this, I no longer order fries when I am using the drive thru.

This has to be the only healthy drive thru you can take a stab at and not feel like a bunny rabbit! That chicken deluxe sandwich always hits the spot! Especially after a long day of errands… So if you’re looking for something tasty yet you don’t want to break the bank in the health department, the deluxe chicken sandwich is the way to go. «Clean fast food, drive thru eating» is what I like to call it(makes me feel better about pulling up to a window and grabbing food). The drive thru staff is friendly and smiling the whole time. So how much more can you ask for, when you’re actually«driving up to a window for food»??? Lol ;) Try it out if ya haven’t, you shan’t be disappointed! ;) Go get your chicken on!!!

Very sad day when you are excited to spend $ 7 on a piece of chicken for the chick-Fil-a experience and it is below sub-par. Freddy was the person at the front who ordered me up, and he brought my food to me. I said«thanks so much» and he said«yep.» While turning away back to the kitchen. I then went to get a refill of Dr. Pepper. Freddy was paying no attention to customers approaching the counter, so I finally just said«can I get a refill?» To get his attention to turn around, and he disrespectfully said«of???» It was an unfortunate day for sure at Chick-Fil-a.

I’m confused by people’s poor reviews of this location, my boyfriend and I have been frequent visitors lately and have always had very friendly service, our correct orders, and delicious food. Maybe we just keep getting lucky, or maybe the drive thru experience is superior to the sit down experience. Either way, we have nothing but good things to say about this establishment and its great food!

My pleasure to write this review. Chick-fil-A has, hands down, the nicest employees. All are so friendly and helpful, as it is part of the culture. I like how they have fun activities each month for kids — story time, crafts, etc. Makes it a fun lunch outing. Inside is clean and drive thru moves super fast. Favorite items to order: spicy chicken sandwich, salads, nuggets for the kids, and the milkshakes! The only place I will indulge — peach in the summer, peppermint chocolate chip in the winter. Divine!

I do love me some Chick-fil-A, but it’s so disappointing when my rare indulgence in fast food is ruined by an individual location that is not up to par. These guys mess up so consistently I almost think it’s on purpose. I order the same thing every time: Spicy Chicken Sandwich with no butter. Not that complex, right? Somehow, every time I pull away from the drive through I find myself with a Spicy Chicken Sandwich with no pickles(with butter or without). So, I start ordering a «Spicy Chicken Sandwich WITH pickles but NO butter.» That should solve it, right? No – more pickleless sandwiches for me. Last time I went, they got it right – except the bun was burnt(literally black inside). Whoever made the sandwich had to have known it was burnt and just didn’t care – which makes me wonder how much they care about less conspicuous cleanliness and food safety issues. I’m done with this place. It will be «my pleasure» to drive to the San Marcos location, which is much better.

Great chicken … Love the chck filet sandwich the number one basically … Waffle fries awesome… Best thing is the people here … Super friendly, polite and professional… All seem very well mannered and genuine. Plus there are always a lot of police officers here so it’s safe… Unless ur a criminal

I visited Chick-fil-A last week to quickly grab dinner for the two kids that I was babysitting. It was raining so I decided to stay dry and go through the drive-thru. That plan almost worked. While the pick-up window is covered, the order box is uncovered and by the time I finished ordering, the inside of my car was quite wet. I know it doesn’t rain often in San Diego but for occasions like this, it would be nice to have something to keep the rain from flooding my car while ordering. But on the plus side, the worker at the drive-thru window noticed my pug poking her head into the front seat and asked if she would like a treat. Treat just happens to be my pug’s favorite word and she happily accepted the biscuit. Any place that offers my pup treats automatically scores points in my book! My favorite food at Chick-fil-A are the breakfast biscuits and I wish that they served them all day.

I only seem to crave Chick-Fil-A on Sundays. Which is unfortunate since they are closed on Sundays! I finally made it on a day when it was open, and was not all that impressed. What I ordered: The chicken sandwich Large fry What I got: Chicken nuggets Medium fry … Bizarre Obviously a switch up, I’ll live. But the food was kinda gross. It did not taste good. The fries were undercooked, and the nuggets were cold. I just wasn’t happy with the quality. The customer service was pretty stellar and thus redeeming them to 3 stars.

I’m generally not a fast food fan, nor a fan of southern food, so it’s surprising that I actually enjoy this place. I usually order the grilled chicken club sandwich with a side salad and unsweetened tea. So it seems that there are several somewhat healthy options. And for my girls I usually get either grilled chicken nuggets(solid breast meat) or a grilled chicken sandwich. But the biggest reason I’m a fan is the incredible level of customer service. Every order is taken with a smile and every request is met with«My pleasure». I really believe that there is a genuine spirit of customer service. I love the friday morning kids activities– great for toddlers and preschoolers! Nice to have a cup of coffee, and a bit of breakfast while the kids are entertained.

Confession: Politics and health consciousness aside, I do love me some CFA. I love their seasoned chicken and fresh lemonade, a lot. However, every single time I come to this specific location, I am disappointed for one reason or another. First of all, this is the newest location in the area, yet it always seems to be the messiest. Tables have crumbs, chairs are not pushed in, etc. Not a huge deal, but I’m used to CFA being the cleanest and most organized chain — they’re famous for that. Fries here always are underdone and under seasoned. Always. I’ve never experienced this at another CFA. They don’t put the sauces out so that you can help yourself, which is understandable, but they rarely ask if you would like any. It’s like their wide array of sauces are a secret here, which is annoying because they are usually promoted at other locations. Staff is friendly, but not over the top. At the Oceanside and San Marcos locations, we experience way nicer service, with employees constantly walking the dining room asking how everything is, and if we’d like a refill. They’re also wiping tables and greeting guests coming in, which I have never seen in Encinitas. I love CFA lemonade, but half the time it doesn’t taste fresh at this location. Once it was so bitter I just tossed it. Sometimes it takes 2 seconds to get your food, which to me means it was probably sitting there before I ordered it. Other times it takes a crazy long time, which is annoying and oddly inconsistent. All in all, I turn a blind eye to CFA’s politics to enjoy a guilty pleasure every so often. But I refuse to come back to this one.

I never eat fast food unless I’m visiting other places that have some notable chains that we don’t have in NY. I was glad I finally got to try this place, as the stuff is pretty great for fast food. We tried the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, reminiscing for the old days in high school when I used to eat the same garbage at Wendy’s everyday, and luckily this one was way better. The chicken didn’t taste too too fake, and it was nice and hot and well put together. We also got Also, not only was the food tasty, but the Book Of Mormon-looking staff was friendlier and more well-versed in customer relations than many of the expensive, formal restaurants I’ve been to. For a quick, cheap meal on the go, you could do a lot worse than the tasty chicken here.

Setting politics aside, Chick Fil A is for me a guilty pleasure. I love the Chick Fil A sauce, and their milkshakes(specifically the cookies n cream) are fantastic. However, I had a less than stellar experience at this location on my most recent visit. First, I tried to order the Chick Fil A Spicy Chicken Sandwich Deluxe, but I was told they were out of pepper jack cheese and she suggested I go with provolone or American. Huh? At 5:30 pm on a Saturday? You got a VONS, Ralph’s, Trader Joes and Sprouts all within shouting distance — they all have pepper jack cheese slices if the restaurant is undersupplied. I’m not sure what happened and hopefully this was an isolated instance, but I’ve never heard of McDonald’s claiming they are out of, say, bacon… I’m just sayin. Then when I said that given the lack of pepper jack I’d do the regular Chicken Sandwich Deluxe instead, it was like I said a secret code. «Oh, you have that coupon, right?» No — what coupon? Huh? Nope, full price for me. Apparently I’m the only one not in the know. Chick Fil A is a nice change of pace from other fast food options that have more history in the San Diego market but I wish it would stay away from polarizing political issues, which make it harder for me to get buy-in from my wife to go there. Thanks a lot… Hopefully this location, too, will raise its game. I’ll focus on the food, which I really enjoy.
