Beachside Bar and Grill

We held our wedding after party at Beachside bar and grill on their adorable string-​lit patio and had a perfect time! We were impressed with how accommodating they were — they were easy to communicate with prior to our event to make sure they had the spot reserved, and they even assigned wait staff to our party-​goers to make sure everyone got their drinks easily and quickly! We are appreciative of their service and for hosting this awesome event! Everyone had a great time!

Here to see the World Cup. Choice of inside or two patio sections but be aware the patio chairs are uncomfortable. Really nice servers. I can recommend the tri-​tip sandwich. They serve the bread hollowed out so there’s a possibility that the entire molten stuffing will burn your chin but worth it. Onion rings weren’t super crisp but they weren’t greasy either. Others in our party ordered decent looking pizzas.

Went here for the first time for dinner last night. Overall I would probably not bother to come back. The waitress was sweet, but pretty inattentive. The food took a while to come out, and she didn’t stop by once to ask if we wanted refills on our drinks. Once the order did come out, she got my friends order wrong, so we had to wait even longer for her food. I had the shrimp tacos, which weren’t that great at all. They basically were the shrimp you get in a cocktail with some cabbage on top. No seasoning whatsoever. My husband ordered a burger medium, and it came out extremely well done. Halfway through dinner, my friend asked for a bowl of mac and cheese for her son, which we never saw. Overall, subpar service with subpar food. I am giving two stars just because the Bloody Mary was delicious.

The food is really great-​especially their pizza! The service could be better, and if you plan to go for a UFC fight night… get there at least 4 hours early or you won’t get seated.

Out and about with my best friend ever having some beer chilling at Beachside bar and Grill! so far the best bar we’ve come to and Encinitas. Ernie is fantastic super accommodating and made us feel really welcome. He has a great personality, made us laugh and we are having an awesome time!!!
If you’re looking for a fun laid back bar in Encinitas then definitely go see Ernie!

Terrific food went here for the first time ever. Girlfriend loves it so I accompanied her to this fabulous establishment and I absolutely loved/​love it I am writing this review at my table RIGHT NOW took one bite of this amazing beachside burger and had to tell the world how perfect it is will definitely be coming back !!!

This place was very hit and miss when I first started coming here. The servers have never given great service. They were slow and did not seem interested in the fact I wanted to stay and drink when I was finished with my meal. They would just drop the check off and walk away. So we started sitting at the bar and it is a completely different experience. The bartender that works on Sundays is quick and makes sure we are happy with our visit. He is the only reason we go back (and the Chicken Tenders)

I really recommend this place! Happy hour on a Saturday while most places don’t have that. My wife had a great time and that’s all it matter.

Terrible, We will never return to this place. We sat at the bar, Matanah our server, seemed to have been enjoying a few drinks herself behind the bar. She mad passes at my best friend in front of his wife, how classless. Not to mention drinks were terrible.

Awesome Bloody Mary and great service. The bartenders and servers are super knowledge and attentive. Food was great.

I’m a huge pastrami fan and I’ll order it almost anytime I see it on a menu. The only exception is if it’s served with sauerkraut, which I hate. So I was pleasantly surprised to see a pastrami panini on the lunch menu and even more enthusiastic when it was served with the standard sandwich toppings: tomato, lettuce, etc. Bonus points because they offer tater tots. I was excited!
Well, the excitement didn’t last long. The pastrami here looks like a pressed lunch meat. Instead of larger carved pieces, it looked like it came from one of those small packets you can get at the grocery store. In addition, there was hardly any meat on the sandwich. It was quite a fail. You know those moments when you’re excited to try something and the excitement turns to disappointment when you see the finished product? Yeah, that was me. Bummer.

Beachside is one of the places that you keep coming back to, not because of the frills or the beautiful ambiance but because this place just serves good bar food and has a great cocktail/​beer selection. I tend to visit this place primarily on UFC fight nights. They actually do a great job at hosting the fights as they have a ton of outdoor, patio and indoor seating with a plethora of TVs nicely positioned for awesome viewing angles. The food is not too bad and the apps are pretty tasty. Overall, not a bad spot for gathering with friends, throwing down some cold ones and watching UFC.

Day before Thanksgiving madness! My cousin brought me in to meet up with her friends for a night out. Of course, based on the date, it was packed and noisy. Next time I’m in Encinitas I would love to stop by when it’s not a crazy night to enjoy a «quieter» drink and meal.

Good bar in Encinitas. Mostly locals. Great vibe. Waiting in friends for thr 3^rd street bistro.

Beachside is your typical local sports bar and grill. They have great happy hour prices and choices. The food is good but nothing too special, the nachos and calamari are excellent starters and great for at least 4 people. The burgers are also excellent, highly recommended. 9 out of 10 times the servers are fast, check back in and friendly. If you come by on a game day, good luck! Super crowded, impossible to order anything, best bet if you must watch a game here is to get a table a few hours early and camp out! If you’re by downtown Encinitas or the beach, this is a great place to stop by for a drink and some food.

Such a great spot off the 101!
I have driven past here several times and always wanted to stop. They have a large inside seating area and large bar. They also have 2 patios. One on the 101 (curb side) and one behind the bar with heaters and a patio feel.
Larger variety of beers on tap and decent wine selection. And they have Champagne!
I had steak tacos! They were great. Only $ 3.50! Choice between flour or corn tortillas!
I will be back to try most of the items on the menu.
Jeff, my bartender, made the visit that much better. Very personal and gets to know his customers. Great personality and I will be back! He recommended the calamari for me next time :)

Just walking by and decided to stop in for a beer and to catch up on the Basketball game. Pretty decent beer selection, room at the bar, and they are showing a Hockey, golf and basketball game so I’m pretty set :))
Menu looks extensive, but won’t have a chance to try anything this time. Large outside patio, and front patio so plenty of choices depending on your mood.
