I went to the Finish Line Running Store in Emmaus with high expectations only to be severely let down. The staff were very friendly but that’s pretty much the best part. When you go on their website, they state that they, «specially fit every shoe». Well if you call having the staff ask to measure your foot like any other store(e.g. Dicks, etc.) then that’s all you will get. There is nothing special about them checking your feet to give you the best fit and understand«how your foot works». Next came the selection of footwear or lack thereof. Their website touts a vast number of brands to include New Balance(what I was looking for) but they don’t carry any. They also have a very limited number of styles. This was very discouraging. For a store that makes it’s business on running, they barely get out of the starting blocks in my opinion. You honestly get a better selection form many of the other sporting good stores with basically the same level of service. What a major disappointment.

I like the store. I had a problem with my sneakers and they returned and gave me a better selection. I did notice an air about the place like you have to be a seasoned athlete or something. You just have go in with confidence and tell them what YOU want and let them help. I love the small feel to it. It is artsy.

Great store for running shoes and good advice /fitting of said running shoes. I’ve purchased two pair of shoes here and have had a generally good experience with both. The store also stocks other running products — compression gear, socks, etc. I recommend trying Balega socks — they have them here. The only downside I’ve found with this store is the cramped atmosphere. I don’t recommend coming here on a busy time like a weekend unless you want to feel like you’ve been jammed in a sardine can.

My sister & I stopped by looking to get fitted for shoes since we started running this summer. The girl who greeted us was very friendly at first, but after hearing we were only browsing & not ready to buy anything yet, her behavior changed. Treated us like we were just wasting her time, & pretty much just sat on a bench while asking us to hand her things like the foot measurer, socks, & used her feet to move things out of the way. She made us felt so uncomfortable that I didn’t even want to get fitted & we left. Went to Aardvark instead & ended up getting fitted & bought a pair of shoes there. Only reason I gave it 2 stars was because she did help me realize I need neutral shoes, which Suzanne at Aardvark informed me also. Wasn’t a pleasant experience & I definitely won’t be back & will not be recommending anyone here.

Another great running store in Lehigh Valley. I know the owner well and even worked here when it used to be in Allentown. These guys are super super super helpful for a runners/walkers of any level. They’ll help you find the show that is a perfect fit your what you’re doing and what your stride and foot plant is. For the more serious runner they have all types of training aides and apparel. The one thing I wish they had more of is spikes and racing flats, but, I know they’d be glad to order them at a good price for anyone who is in need. They’ve done a lot to help the running scene in the LV and I always tell people to go here before seeing a big chain store for running equipment.

Great store for your running needs: shoes, clothes, gadgets, socks, hydration bottles, books about running and various other sundries for your running needs. Group runs starting in spring 2010
