We went for Mother’s Day. We called at the last minute and were only able to get a reservation at the last afternoon seating at 2:30pm. The banquet room is not much but a large bank of windows onto a porch overlooks a lovely bucolic lake and trees set in the PA country above Catawissa. The food was home style basic — ham, pork, chicken, and a fake seafood Alfredo pasta. The highlights were the salads — a fabulous strawberry poppyseed salad and the deserts although they ran out of the carrot cake and red velvet cake and many of the other desserts before we got to try them which was very disappointing. Overall it was pretty good but overpriced at $ 20 a person 11 years and up.

Part Farm Market/Restaurant/Banquet facility in the country a few miles outside of Numidia(though the address says Elysburg). Banquet facilities are in the back of the building and in the summer an outdoor area down by the lake. Farm Market/Restaurant and the Banquet facilities have different entrances, so watch for the signs. My experience is mostly with the Restaurant/Banquet portion. Restaurant is located within the Farm Market. Hoagies are large and delicious and Hamburgers are good. Has a lunch buffet with several items. The buffets are extremely popular and on a non-holiday are inexpensive and provide a large amount of good food. If you’re going to be attending a holiday buffet, be prepared for a crowd and check if a reservation is necessary. Holiday buffets are what knock a star off this review, as I’ve had a few less then great experiences. Banquet facility is a small/medium size facility, can get crowded at times. I’ve had both hit and miss experiences with banquets depending on your taste in food. The Chicken is very popular(but not in my taste), the Pork Chops are ok, love the Roast Beef. Sides are usually good. Beverages usually include Coffee, Unsweetened Iced Tea, and Water, so if you’re looking for Soda you have to purchase it separately in the restaurant. They have both cans and fountain available. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.
