I’m visiting from California, not being used to the heat I was craving some ice cream and got the chance to stop here. It was so amazing! I had the brown sugar oatmeal, probably one of the best texture and flavor I’ve ever had. 100% recommend.

Smitty’s had a tent set up at the Burlington St. Patrick’s Day parade food truck court. Mom is an ice cream freak, so after some disappointing tacos I treated her to some amazing Smitty’s Ice Cream and it saved the day. Flavors for the day were chocolate, vanilla, Oreo, strawberry, black cherry and Guinness. Mom went with Oreo in a waffle cone that held about a pint of ice cream it seemed like for $ 5. It was thick, rich, creamy and loaded with plenty of Oreo pieces. One look and you knew it was Oreo ice cream, you didn’t have to hunt around plain vanilla looking for a little piece here or there. I went with the Guinness in lieu of actual drinking since I was driving us back to GSO. It was based on chocolate ice cream, which goes well with the dark chocolate notes in the beer. It was a really good combination with the sweet home made ice cream and the bitter flavor of the Guinness coming through a little bit. A «small» cup was $ 4 but way more ice cream than I really ever eat at a time, very generous portion.

Best place ever! The ice cream is awesome but let me talk about their cones, to die for. Every time I go I have to get a waffle cone. They are homemade to perfection. You can taste the cinnamon in them and it is just an excellent contribution to the ice cream. My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter.

Try the oatmeal ice cream! I know it sounds odd but it is such a unique flavor. One of my favorites! I love that rainbow or chocolate sprinkles are a free topping choice for any cone or cup as well. Make sure to get a stamp card because if you go there often enough, you ultimately get a free cone.

Tomorrow is National Ice Cream day. Go to the Graham location to receive a free small ice cream with the purchase of a small or larger. What is better than free ice cream? NOTHING! #gottahavesmittys

Nestled inside of Pandora’s Pies — a pizza place, not a pie place, unless you call pizzas pies, and in that case, it is a pie place — you’ll find a most excellent little ice cream counter. The big issue with this is that it’s right at the door, and as such, it can get crowded from people coming in, people leaving, people trying to get their ice cream, people looking at ice cream and people trying to sample ice cream. Ignore that fact, however, and you can get some fairly tasty ice cream, in some rather different flavors, such as brown sugar oat meal. Sweet.
