Just left the little gem of a hot dog stand. Great dogs, fries, pizza puffs. Very affordable specials between 2−5pm. Clean establishment both inside and outside. Give them a try

Yummy onion rings. Surprisingly some indoor counter seating. Property is well cared for(which I appreciate being a Galewood resident). Haven’t tried the milk shakes, but I’m definitely planning on it! Cute yard with umbrella tables. I plan on biking over this summer for sure. French fries look promising.

This is a true Chicago style dog with the neon green relish ran through the garden. The fries are shoestring and the bun steamed perfectly. Great place for your true Chicago hot dog. Just wish they stay open longer.

Great place to get traditional Chicago fare. Kevin the owner is a great guy that loves his customers. Can’t go wrong with the red hot Chicago hot dogs dressed the traditional Chicago way. A must have if your in the area.

I’ve driven past this place hundreds of times but finally decided to stop in for lunch the other day. It’s a classic Chicago hot dog joint. I really dug it. I got 2 hot dogs and fries, and was on my way. They use Red Hot Chicago hot dogs and I thought they were awesome. I will definitely be back again soon! The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that they don’t have fresh cut fries and instead use frozen ones.

A Chicago one of a kind joint– worth a trip– little place with a very gregarious owner. spotless and quick– nestled right off of Harlem. Not many places left that just deliver what they say they do– a simple sandwich. As i despise chains– give this little business a chance!

Super nostalgic! Love their hot dogs and their fries… The owner and people who work there are awesome too. Red hot chicago beef hot dogs for a good price. They only take cash though, so come prepared… :)

Honestly, there’s nothing special about the food, it’s your typical hot dog stand food(Red Hot Chicago dogs) with polish, italians, and pizza puffs and all the usual stuff. All good, but nothing trendy or amazing. And yeah, the service is a bit slow sometimes. And I think they only take cash. And it’s tiny, and honestly a bit dingy inside. But the owner and the guy usually working there are really friendly, and the prices are right. It’s walking/cycling distance from most of Galewood and it’s a great place go go on a sunny summer evening when you’re out on a bike ride with the kids, or you just want to grab a quick lunch while you’re out running errands. It’s got personality and it’s sort of a neighborhood landmark, I’d much rather go here than somewhere like Portillos which charges twice as much for the same food plus manufactured atmosphere, and I’d definitely rather support these guys than a fast food chain. They also have a weekly trivia question that gets you a discount. I sometimes know the answer but don’t even bother because the food is reasonable, but if you’re a cheapskate with a smartphone, you can knock a few bucks off your order, ha.

This is a trailer stand on Armitage about a ¼ block East of Harlem. I just went in for a dog and fries. There are about 6 stool seats inside and it’s cramped, especially if there are people waiting. There were only two guys working there, one guy taking orders and another guy prepping the dogs. I waited about 5 minutes for a dog and fries, which was just OK. Not the best. The fries were like McDonald’s, just a little thinner. I’d go back to try something else. There is a pinball game and an arcade game, neither of which I was interested in playing.

A great Chicago Style dog. This hot dog stand is a throwback. The hot dogs are excellent. He serves Red Hot Chicago dogs, which have a good taste and a nice snap. Cucumber, tomato, onion, pickle, peppers, relish and celery salt. The deep fried polish sausage is a delight. The fries are well cooked, good, and not greasy. The service is friendly and the owner is almost always the one serving you. My 4 year old son and I love to come here. There are several outside tables with umbrellas. no frou-frou, no frills, just the dog please
