I bought a Groupon based on the great Unilocal reviews. Horrible choice. They were completely booked since Jen only works a few days a week. But then, one night, they said there was cancellation and can I come immediately. I was on the bed at 745 and out in my car at 835. Add waiting for the last person and the newbie ‘consultation’ and my 60-minute facial must have been more like 30 minutes! This is the first facial ever where I walk out not relaxed. Interestingly, it also smelled SOGOOD. Different fruity smells for every cream. She uses the Skin Script line. Then, they called to reconfirm my appointment for next time. Like they forgot that I reconfirmed my appointment the week before. Considering that I paid the same for other spas in the area, I would rank this as my least favorite. Definitely not returning here.

I had a great waxing experience when using a Groupon. The woman waxing was professional and made me feel comfortable. The place was clean and tastefully decorated. I would come back for a wax at this place without a Groupon!

The worst beauty salon experience I have ever had. If zero was an option, I would do so. I signed up to have a deep cleansing facial and I got some weird version of a skin massage. The whole place was dirty and I was even afraid to use their restroom. STAYAWAY!

The rudest customer service I’ve ever experienced. Not only it’s impossible to get a call back(only after two messages left someone called me back), it’s also impossible to make an appointment(they have one esthetician only). Nor they make any effort to accommodate you. Nikki, I believe is her name, or whoever calls back/sets up appointments, needs some serious customer service etiquette schooling. To my complain ‘I don’t like the way you conduct your business’, Nikki girl responds: «We’re not here waiting for you only’ and ‘We’re glad to lose you,’ Well darling… you’ll lose not me only but a lot more prospective customers. Requested a refund from Groupon.

I have had Sue cut and color my hair for more than two years. I really appreciate about her work thinning, cutting and coloring my hair. Not everyone has a talent for color, but Sue certainly does. Sue has given me foils, which were beautiful, and a Brazilian smoothing treatment, which was FANTASTIC. She is very open to accommodating my wishes for how I wanted my hair cut, colored, styled, etc. She is also very knowledgable and full of good suggestions. I always feel that I’m in good hands when she’s doing my hair. I know I can rely on her good taste and judgment.

I received a Groupon and thought this sounded like a great value. Right when I walked in I got the impression that the lady doing my hair didn’t feel like doing it. Maria was her name. I even asked her are you okay doing this? I felt like I was burdening her. I have very long hair to the middle of my back so not sure if that was her prob. or not so I asked to make sure she was comfortable doing it. She said yes. The whole day she was looking for short cuts. Asked if I just wanted a touch up, I said no its a full highlight. She said so back here too and I said yes thats a full highlight, a partial would only be the top. Then she skipped the deep conditioner, I had to remind her of it. And was the shortest hair cut I have ever had. She just cut the back, I then asked aren’t you going to cut the sides and front? She said«I said don’t know if I want to» I said ‘why are u not comfortable cutting it?’ She said ‘no Im comfortable and started cutting it’ So strange… And the groupon was also for a style and she asked«so blow dry or nothing?» I said ummm yeah blow dry it please. Also while brushing my hair she was pulling a ton out, I ended up just brushing my own hair and after the wash all down the back of my shirt was wet! Once my hair was dry I could see she took another huge short cut my highlights are chunky and not to the root at all, it looks like I already have outgrowth! And some of the highlights bleed, looks like someone ran over my hair with a highlighter. Worst job I’ve ever had and I’ve been getting my hair highlighted for 15 years! Now I have to pay someone else to fix it, so my advice is save your money the groupon is not a good value after all. Especially when you have to pay to have someone fix it and your time. Which is another thing that makes me mad, I have a young baby and its hard to find time to get my hair done and now I have to make another appointment just to fix what she did. One more thing before leaving no one mentioned anything about an up charge for my long hair but I knew it said on the groupon there would be… so being the honest person that I am I asked, «And is there an up-charge for the long hair?» and they looked around asked each other how much the up charge should be no one knew and finally I think the owner Sue said $ 30. I paid my 30 they only take tips in cash or check so I left what I had on me for cash and left. After that terrible service I should of tipped nothing or even mentioned the up charge. But lessoned learned and hopefully you’ll avoid a mishap like I had.

I bought a Groupon for a $ 20 bikini wax at Valentino. Not a good idea. The technician was very nice and tried to put me at ease by making light conversation. However, she told me a couple of stories about other clients which I thought was unprofessional. She left patches of hair and when I pointed them out, she went to work to remove them. I checked again and I thought she did a very sloppy job. It looked pretty bad and I don’t see how one could think a client would be happy with it. However, I just wanted to leave because I was already starting to bruise in one spot. When I was checking out, the technician stood right in front of me as I filled out a satisfaction survey. It’s hard to be honest when it’s not anonymous and the person you are displeased with is watching over you. The following day, my skin was inflamed and red. I’ve never reacted that way to a professional bikini wax before. I also question the sanitation.

I agree with the person below in stating that I got the worst most expensive highlights. I made an appointment, that was simple. However, once I got there they didn’t say much. Didn’t offer anything to drink(despite offering it to other clients). The girl who did my hair was obviously inexperienced as two weeks later I already have roots showing(terrible!). As a whole, I think that this place is primarily for the older crowd(past retirement) and not for someone who is middle aged or younger as they lack a general knowledge of style and fail to listen to what you want. I am very disappointed. This one was a big waste of time and money.

I have a LOT of very thick, very long, red hair and I was seeing the same stylist for seven years before coming to Valentinos. As you can imagine, I was very nervous to have my hair highlighted(sections of blonde) and trimmed. In the past I hated my red hair and decided to partiallt color it dark brown. I did it once, and realized it was a huge mistake and spent a good chunk of cash trying to fix it and a lot of time letting it grow out and fade. I came to see Jackie(sp?) and let me tell you this girl knows what she’s doing! She asked a lot of questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, and gave a lot of helpful suggestions. She touched up my blonde streaks, trimmed and shaped my layers and redefined them, and even was able to strip out some of the brown that was still lingering at the bottom back of my hair. It’s the best cut and color I’ve ever had done. The salon staff if friendly(the owner even went and moved my car for me because I parked in the wrong lot!) and if you refer friends you get discounts on products. I recently got a 10% off my next visit for the holidays. I really don’t know how anyone could give this place a bad review(like Maria H., whose hair would have probably looked a lot worse had the toner not been used). As far as cost goes, I believe they are very reasonable. Instead of charging me for two partials Jackie charged me for a full highlight to help bring the cost down. I had no hidden charges, and everything that was being done to my hair was explained to me. I LOVE Jackie at Valentino’s and I won’t be going anywhere else!

I’m going to start this review with a little fact: I’ve never been to this place and am basing my review solely on a returned voicemail. I called to see if I could make an appointment on Friday, 8⁄5 because I will be attending a wedding later that evening. I was contemplating purchasing the LivingSocial coupon that was being offered that day and since this place was on my way to the wedding, I thought it worked out very nicely. However, I received a voicemail soon after I called, telling me that they were booked up all day but they would still like me to feel free to puchase the LivingSocial coupon and schedule an appointment in the future. I do not live close to the area so I did not purchase but I wanted to say that the customer service is excellent, and I didn’t even purchase anything.

Came here with my mom and sister-in-law as they bought a voucher from dealfind for facial and haircut. The place is clean and the staff very welcoming. Per my mother and sister-in-law, the facial was amazing. They are both very satisfied with their haircut as well. The staff even offered them more coupons for their next haircut. Definitely a good salon/spa!
