3.5 After years of living in NYC, I finally made it to Shake Shack. Shake Shack had never appealed to me since I’m not big on fast food and the lines in its various locations in the city are always super long. After knowing that they had recently opened one here, I had to give it a try. There was a wait at the line both the time I was there; it’s to be expected although it isn’t long at all. Since I don’t eat beef, the Chicken Hot Dog was the first item I’ve ever tried here. Its bland taste that was super dry, rubbery in texture was tough to eat — I had only managed to eat half of it … wasn’t a big fan of their hot dog at all. To wash down our food, we ordered the Brooklyn Shackmeister Ale which was really good! It is rich … goes well with the food, I love it! For the shake, we had Shake of the Week: Matcha Citrus — it was quite unique & not too sweet at all … I enjoyed it. We ended our meal with World’s Fare concrete: vanilla custard, matcha, marshmallow sauce, and crispy crunchies. The crispy crunchies was definitely a nice touch which was my favorite part eating it. However, over all I thought it was way too sweet for me and I may not get it again. For my second visit, I had the Chick’n Shack which was crispy and well seasoned … thought it was decent, but nothing special about it — the portion was just right though. This time, I had Shake of the Week: Mast Brother’s Chocolate Mint. Again, another one that I enjoy drinking. Not too sweet in taste which I like. The chocolate and mint wasn’t over powering each other. Both of my visits we had the crinkle cut fries. Nothing special, but it’s crispy … went well with all the food times I had — I love it. The establishment is still new with plenty of seating options — which fills up rather really quickly(there are also plugs at the booth area by the wall). The staff are super nice and they don’t rush while taking the orders. Pros: Location, it’s new & clean, has plenty of seats(during non peak hours), staff are super friendly, crinkle cut fries & Brooklyn Shackmeister Ale is awesome. Shake of the Week keeps my adventure self coming back for more. Cons: Chick’n Shack is meh, Chicken Hot Dog wasn’t as appetizing, price can go almost up to $ 15 pp each visits, still don’t understand what the rave is about :/

The only good thing in the ratchet mall. The thing I love about Shake Shack is the consistent quality. My plan was to avoid this Shake Shack, because I don’t trust the mall, but I decided to stop by because there was a crazy long line for the bus and none here. I was able to order quickly. The staff is well trained and straight forward. Had the Shroom Burger that day, with fries, of course. Had time to run to the restroom to wash my hands and it was very clean. There are lots of seats available! There are seats facing the bus stop so you can keep an eye on the insane line. Shake Shack NEVER disappoints.

I was excited that Shake Shack opened at the mall but at the same time, feared that it would super crowded. I took my sister here for her birthday on a Sunday afternoon. I was glad to be able to find seats and the line was not dreadingly long. The wait for the food was manageable, too. I had the Shack Stack, perhaps the most expensive burger on their menu, and it was delectable. I expected this already but since I have not had Shake Shack in a while, my taste buds were agreeing immediately upon first contact with the burger. Succulent and tender with the fried mushroom that was also surprisingly juicy and soft. It’s a thing of a beauty. I don’t know what ingredients they use on their shack sauce, but it goes so well with their burgers. or perhaps with everything? The fries are good, but I could not get over how good my burger was. Oh. don’t get me started on the Black and White milkshake. It’s yummy enough to make you want to quit your diet. The silky, creamy, and frosty black and white shake was of the right thickness. It did not clog up my straw; rather, it went through smoothly and cuddled my tongue so gently. I had originally bought it for myself but… it was my sister’s birthday so I gave it to her. After my first sip, I quickly regretted that I only bought one. One of the best black and white shakes I’ve ever had. I pray that this place does not get too crazy because the stress would only negate the delicious and wonderful experience that is Shake Shack.

Finally got to try out shake shack by queens center mall. Loads of seating and quite spacious! I ordered the shroom burger and regular fries. I waited for about 15 minutes for my order but worth the wait. Delicious! I saw one employee who was cleaning trying to give one of the serving staff members a plastic container with ketchup someone had left behind and told her to re-use it to someone else. Thank goodness the lady who was serving the food by the counter told her off and the girl threw it in the garbage(where it belongs). Someone needs to check that girl, you don’t pick up people’s trash and reuse it — you just don’t! Just rinse the container and recycle it if you want to be more environmentally friendly! I’m all for that! I don’t want someone else’s trash served to me though. No, just no!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shake Shack in Queens!!! I…I just cannot. I will be here every weekend. Plenty of seating, lines moved quickly, food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, on a Saturday. Extra crispy fries FTW. Thank you burger gods.

They’re not located on the food court level!!! I was extremely upset when the urban outfitters closed down until I found out it’s been replaced with Shake Shack! The line was long but moves rather quickly. It was easy to find seating. The cashier was friendly as expected. The burger and fries are just as delicious as its Manhattan locations. Unfortunately I do have to bring my own mayo next time. They only have ketchup and mustard…

Always a fan of Shake Shack. This is the new location in Queens Center Mall. Burger was awesome as usual. The fries were okay. As expected, it was super crowded here. Luckily, I got a seat right away, but I saw some people waiting for a long time.

The lines at this location are much more tolerable than the ones in the city. And they have a decent size seating area(remember that when it gets too crowded you can take your meal down to the food court). Got a shake shack and chicken burger. Don’t really get the hype surrounding the chicken burger. It was overly fried and almost no chicken to enjoy. The lemonade, while overpriced, was refreshing.

I was so looking forward to trying Shake Shack since they opened up this location so close to home. After hearing all of the hype for years, I had to give it a go. The location is great. Right next to the Queens Center Mall @ the opposite entrance of Queens Blvd. You have two different entrances/exits. One separate one and another one that leads into the mall. I’ve seen it EXTREMELY crowded and packed with long lines and I’ve seen it half empty with hardly any line, like today. They have so much staff working here. Nice to see they want things to keep moving at a steady pace. The staff were fairly friendly. The inside is clean and sleek. They have stool seating, booth seating and they also have long tables for communal seating. The menu isn’t huge. They have what they have. You first go and place your order. Then they give you your receipt and a buzzer remote that buzzes you when your order is ready. Now for the food. The food really wasn’t bad. It tasted pretty good. My review is more like 3 and ½ stars. I just don’t think it was worth the money I paid. Maybe you have to be a meat eater to truly ooh and ahh at this place. I have only one option here being a vegetarian. The ‘Shroom Burger. It’s a fried portobello mushroom with muenster and cheddar cheese, lettuce(the good kind!) roma tomato and Shack Sauce. It was good, but so tiny! Definitely not worth the seven bucks I paid. Maybe if they used a bigger bun and not fry and shrink the mushroom and grill it instead, it would have been more satisfying and worth the money. I also see that they use buns from bags. If I’m paying seven bucks for a mushroom burger, I would appreciate a fresher bun. The crinkle fries were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I appreciate that they use yukon gold potatoes but again, they are frozen fries. They only have one size and they weren’t expensive really but still. They can’t make fresh fries? The half iced tea/half lemonade was tasty, but a tad too sweet for my liking. They only have two sizes. Small and large. I recommend that you get it with the mango lemonade. Yum! I spent $ 16 for my meal. Was it worth it? Uhh. not really. Was it tasty? Sure. Would I go again? Probably, but not too often. I love that they have two menu items for dogs! I think I’ll get the Pooch-ini next time. See how the doggies like it.

Shake Shack’s first stand alone post in Queens! Yes, we have the Shake Shacks in JFK and Citifield — sorry(not sorry) but those really don’t count! Now here’s the best part, it’s in my neighborhood before anywhere else! Shake Shack is located in the busy Queens Center Mall! The location is super spacious and comfortable. Different types of seatings starting from two-seaters, four-seaters, benches, round communal table, and to stool seatings. It is always busy here and there is a bit of a wait but that guarantees quick turnover, leading to the food always fresh off the grill. Love this location! Shack Burger is my favorite item to order at every time I’m at any Shake Shack. It is a burger with lettuce, tomato, cheese, beef patty, and their signature Shack sauce. The burger patty was so juicy and the rest of the ingredients were so fresh taste that it helps with the grease. Potato bun was soft and I loved the way it was cut for it held the burger together so well. So amazing! Smoke Shack. Another favorite of mine because of the bacon slices! It is a burger with Shack sauce, cheese, beef patty, bacon, and chopped cherry pepper. So smokey and tasty! Shack Stack. The marriage of a cheeseburger and the Shroom Burger. I did love the combination flavors of both. Mushroom patty gives it a good crunch. Melted muenster and cheddar cheese was really good! Crinkled Fries/Cheese Fries. So crunchy, perfectly salted. Enough said! Mango Lemonade. A nice refreshing taste of lemonade and mango flavor. It definitely helped wash down my meal and want another burger to go! Sweet and tarty was the perfect finish to my visits! This location is also serving the Brooklyn special — Chicken Shack as well! My first visit to Shake Shack at this location was actually on New Year’s Eve and I saw customers ordering big bags of take-out burgers to bring home for family dinner. Now, that’s a big compliment to Shake Shack that people chose them for family get-together meals!

Clean space, lots of seating, same Shake Shack food as others. Get the Smoke Shack burger, it’s by far my favorite. Only downside: prices. You can easily spend $ 13 here for just yourself.

It’s so awesome to have a Shake Shack in a prime Queens location ! This Shake Shack has ample amount of seating and serves up a great burger and shake. I had the Smoke Shack(Double of course) and my GF ordered the Chick N Shack. We had an order of cheese fries and the shake of the week(Oatmeal). The Smoke Shack is a cheese burger topped with smoked bacon, chopped cherry peppers and their patented sauce. This burger was delicious, juicy and definitely fulfilling. The peppers add a bit of spice to the burger. The Chick N Shack was awesome as well but it was not mind-blowing as could be. To be honest, it tasted a bit like a McChicken. We always enjoy their Cheese Fries, so I definitely recommend this if you were to visit. As for the Shake of the Week, the Oatmeal was surprisingly really good. I had my reservations since I’m not a huge oatmeal advocate, but I would definitely get this again next time it is available !

I’ve been twice to this location since it opened!!! There has always been a line but the staff is super friendly. The food is great. Its Shake Shack. The burgers are delicious no matter which one you try. The shakes are sweet. But my all time favorite are the crinkle fries. Omg they are delish. And call me weird, but I like my fries with mayo. The restaurant is always clean and there is a lot of seating. Check out Shake Shack after shopping at the Queens Mall or just drop in. It is definitely worth the trip.

Im glad they finally have a Shake Shack in a slightly more convenient location for me. Im not a huge fan of fast food restaurants, but Shake Shack is obviously not your«regular» fast food chain. Dining here will cost pretty much the same as a casual restaurant, at least we don’t have to tip… but we are definitely a fan of those who use higher quality ingredients. Also the concretes are a nice treat once in a while. Beats Haagen Daz any day. Since I had to return some items at the mall, I had to come and try the new Chicken Shack that was finally available in most of their locations. The wait on the line to order was surprisingly quick on a Saturday night, but it was the wait for the actual food that took forever. Possibly 20 minutes? L never likes waiting for anything, so he was very annoyed since we had to pick up some food at another restaurant before they closed. When we finally got our food, the chicken stack looks exactly like the ones in all the pics which is why I didn’t bother putting another. Why can’t other fast food chains do that? The chicken breast was fried nicely, crispy. It’s a big chunk of white meat, no thin ground up chicken patties here. Seasoned well. The pickles were great, the buttermilk herbed mayo added a lil tang. I’d probably order this again instead of a burger. The bun was soft but not mushy. The staff was energetic and they do work hard. With all the customers coming nonstop, you can actually hear them encouraging the whole team to keep the momentum up. You won’t see that at McDonalds. The waiting is a slight annoyance, but if I have a craving for a chicken sandwich and a concrete, at least I don’t have to go all the way to the city.

When I first heard about Shake Shack opening up in Elmhurst, I was so happy because I thought finally an accessible Shake Shack in Queens(not counting Citi Field). The décor looks really good with a lot of variable seating areas. The food, I mean its a franchise now so its the normal for it to be the really good yummy food as I wrote in my past reviews. We tried their chicken hotdog which was different but it was delicious. The service is also really good but of course we went when it first opened and haven’t had a bad experience. :) Would I recommend it to my friends? Yes! +1 for Elmhurst!

Finally, a Shake Shack less than a 10 minute walk away from my home! I came here on a Saturday night with my boyfriend since we both live in the area and when we first approached the restaurant, we were turned off by the long line out the door from Shake Shack(but still inside the mall) but we decided to wait anyway. Surprisingly, the line moved rather quickly and the host knew his stuff! I’m not a huge fan of burgers and asked him for a recommendation. He had a great attitude(you know when you come across someone with a monotone that you know completely hates their job standing outside serving people? He’s not one of those :)) and was able to let us know what was good depending on what our tastes were. We decided on the Shack Burger with the cheese fries, a foundation drink and the Shackmeister Ale. Although the crowd seemed pretty large, we didn’t have any trouble finding a seat since people were constantly leaving after finishing their meals. They also had a good number of staff to clean the tables right after and managers to ask if everything was alright with their customers. It felt like we were actually dining with a waitress rather than a self-serve restaurant so that’s definitely a +1! Oh, and they also have TVs playing the latest sports game. We were there just in time to see the first touch down from Kansas City vs Houston within the first minute of the playoffs. Our food took about 10 minutes to be ready when the buzzer they gave us to let us know when the food was ready finally vibrated. Our burger looked fresh and tasted juicy. Definitely a lot better than anything you’d find in your typical fast food restaurant. The cheese fries were a smaller portion than I thought but still fresh and good nonetheless. I’m not a fan of heavy beers so the Shackmeister Ale wins a star in my book as it’s light and perfect for my Asian tolerance. After finishing the first burger, we were still hungry so we decided to order another Shack Burger and a shake to go along with it this time. The staff was extremely friendly and assisted us in our second order by letting the cashier know that we had already ordered once so we didn’t have to wait in line again. This usually never happens so we were extremely pleased. Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great experience with the Shake Shack here and will definitely be coming back to dine. Both orders combined came to a total of around $ 35, a bit above average than your average fast food joint but hey, you’re paying for much better service, quality of food, and a better ambiance. Keep up the great service!

My boyfriend & I live very close to Queens Center Mall and we been dying for shake shack to finally open! Shake shack is honestly our favorite fast food restaurant. We always travel all the way to Grand Central for Shake Shack and now we can finally just walk a few blocks from it. The line was very long when I approached to Shake Shack. The workers offered us free custard/ice cream samples for the wait. I always order either a double shack burger or a single shack burger with bacon. They never get my order wrong and it’s delicious! Order fries to complete your Shake Shack experience! The cashiers were very kind and down to earth. I highly recommend you to stop by Shake Shack for a wonderful experience and great food.

I dunno how they get the burgers to taste the same from location to location but gosh darn it, they’re damn good. Everyone already knows they’re menu, but this location taking the spot of the old urban outfitters and the first open full time in Q-BORO offers a couple different concretes. The Worlds Fare and a Peanut Butta somethin or otha. Come check them out ! but remember this is SHAKESHACK !!!(and there’s always a que)

What a surprise Christmas gift for my trip home for the holidays! Remembering the days when I had to wait hours in the freezing cold circling around Madison Square Park just for a burger, those days are over. Some say, I never knew what love was until I met you. I say, I never knew what a good burger was until I had Shake Shack. Ever since, not even any Californians can convince me otherwise. Forget In-and-Out and Umami, I say Shake Shack should be the standard for American burgers. Without the sentimental feeling and anticipation, I was afraid the cloned chain branch in QC would lose the original flavor. Fortunately, nothing was changed, but a more pleasant experience. The ingredients are still fresh, the meat is still seasoned and cooked medium, and there is still a long wait after you order. Personally, that shack in MSP will always have a soft spot in my heart — my entire college life, the friends that I have waited in line with, the happy and sad moments in that park, and our case study on the shack’s efficiency… All of that is to say, my taste buds for Shake Shack will never be the same as yours. Enjoy it with your own memories.

The first stand alone Shake Shack in Queens. Holla! Shake Shack took over the old Urban Outfitters space in Queen Center Mall and the restaurant is a lot bigger than I was expecting and the seating is pretty adequate, they really did a good job with the space. Also, along the window on the 59th ave side, there is a whole row of stools. The food: ShackBurger– Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce. This is my go to burger for all the Shake Shack stores and the flavor here was good, the bread was great and the Shack Sauce was awesome. The burger was on the smaller side and I do wish their burgers weren’t cooked all the way through but the burger was still juicy. Overall, I was happy with the burger. Cheese Fries– The fries were awesome, they were nice and crunchy and not soggy or greasy at all. I think this might be the best Shake Shack fries I have had. The fries were great and the consistency of the cheese sauce was nice Shack-made Lemonade– I thought this was really good, not too sour, not too sweet.

At last, we have a full-fledged Shake Shack location in Queens(Citi Field and JFK don’t count). This is a great new location, nice and spacious and in a good corner spot so you don’t actually have to enter the mall to go here. As always, there are some awesome location-specific concretes here — definitely try the World’s Fare, made with vanilla custard, matcha, marshmallow sauce and crispy crunchies($ 5 for a single). Glad to see the shack arrive in Queens, and am now eagerly anticipating the Forest Hills location.
