They are going out of business. I went to check out a dishwasher and see if I could find a great deal. They are almost completely out of dishwashers. The person working there was very helpful and said that dishwashers and washer/​dryer sets are the first to go. If you’re looking for furniture or larger appliances (refrigerators, ovens, etc.) then get out there for some great deals before they’re gone.
Sorry to see them go, they seemed like a nice store, although this was my first visit.

I helped my sister pick out a new stove, and rather than immediately attack us when we walked in, the staff allowed us to look at everything before offering their expertise. Jim explained the stoves we liked, the differences and similarities between the models, and showed us a few others that offered similar features at similar prices (within the budget we had.)
He did not once try to get my sister to spend more than she had budgeted, which was very encouraging.
She ended up with a model she hadn’t considered before, but thanks to a great sale and information from Jim, she left excited and happy about her stove.
She decided to have her stove delivered and set up by Plass staff, and found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable, explaining exactly what they were doing when installing her new stove, which was very reassuring.

I bought my first home this past autumn and my stoves just went kaput unexpectedly. The idea of being forced to make my first major home purchase as an emergency was incredibly stressful-​until I went to Plass.
This place is obviously not Wal-​mart (thank goodness). You’re not going to find a stove for $ 199. But you will find a Consumer Reports-​recommended $ 1,100 gas range marked down to $ 799 with some fun extras like a 5^th burner and convection oven.
Staff is not pushy at all-​I explained my needs and he didn’t try to convince me that I needed a $ 3,000 professional range. I asked about the warranty and how the whole service thing works and got straightforward, honest answers. I got knowledgable and friendly service, actually paid a LESS than if I had gone to a big box store, AND get to say I shopped local– SCORE!
If you’re a solo female homeowner, go to Plass and ask for Jim. With his help, I feel like I made a great decision and spent my money wisely.

Maybe I’m their only fan, but once again I got a great couch, side chair, and ottoman for the family room (with custom upholstery) for a great price. Nice, congenial salesman. What can I say. And for what it lacks in terms of the look of a superstore showroom it makes up for in so many other ways. Keep it up!
