Great service! In walked me in the middle of the day. I ordered the lunch special which was pineapple fried rice with salad. It was nicely prepared. In addition, I ordered a small coffee and a roti canai(Indian bread which was circular here instead of rectangular like in Malaysian restaurants). I enjoyed the sauce that the roti canai came with which had potatoes and delicious pieces of chicken. Another thing I was impressed was the beautiful marble floors and the cleanliness of this bakery. I noticed the people who worked here spoke Cantonese. :) The deal for 15% really applies to take out food. I had a lot of time and decided to stay and enjoy my meal which I did for the most part. I noticed they had pastries, cake, and other delicious baked goods like dan tot(egg custard). I saw beverages like lern cha(herbal tea) and plum juice(which the lady recommended and said was refreshing). I had fun here, but it was not too busy. I hope that more people venture out here and try it. If I’m ever in Elmhurst, I will come back to try the other food there. I saw wonton mein on the menu! Which I absolutely love!

Was here to check out this new restaurant. Always nice to visit a new restaurant/establishment and find out what makes them special and stand out from the rest. Luncheon specials run from 11 – 3:30PM from Monday– Sunday. Order placed you can sit and wait for cooked items which is made in the back, They also have smoothies made. Limited selection with bakery items. Was here like 1PM on a Saturday and there were one or two items left of buns and cakes. The bakery items on the shelves are not made on the premises.

This is my new favorite spot. I tried curry noodle soup with stuffed tofu, it was so yummmmmy. My husband ordered pineapple fried rice, he liked it too. They sell some pastries and Malaysian snacks. We also tried peanut mochi, ang ku kuih and egg custards… yummy for my tummy… We’ll come back and try different foods.

A Chinese Bakery and Fast food joint. I has a General Tso’s lunch special here for pick up. I wasn’t thoroughly impressed with the portion size. The chicken got real slimy after the fourth piece. I’d suggest using white meat instead of dark. The spring roll wasn’t a spring roll. It was an egg roll with just cabbage and no pork. The upside is I only paid $ 5.55 because of the 15 percent of f deal with a Unilocal check-in. I’d go back to try something else since it is close to my job. Little House got a large menu for a tiny joint. Maybe I’ll try the curry next time.

Little House Café is a new Asian fusion shop that opened up recently between the Elmhurst and Corona neighborhoods. Seating is limited but it doesn’t seem very crowded, at least not yet. Their lunch special is a steal and offers Americanized Chinese and Thai cuisine. You can get a cheap lunch for under $ 10 seven days a week! They also sell pastries. Their Malaysian brown sugar sponge cake was pretty good! I tried their Massaman curry with tofu and white rice. The tofu was the winner– crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The curry was more salty than creamy but went well with the rice. My meathead boyfriend tried my plate and tried to eat all my tofu! After swatting his fork away, he called the woman at the register over and ordered another one. There’s no waiter service here but she kindly accommodated his lazy ass so he didn’t even have to budge to pay for our third plate. I’m highly impressed with their service and lunch special!

Have tried the chicken curry and paratha and the green Thai curry. The Thai curry is just awesome and the food portion is good as well. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming, this is what u expect from a family run business. Would surely go back there.

I think this recently just opened up, and I was lured in by the smell of 15% that was on the back of the menu. I had the red curry beef lunch special and my coworkers had the chicken teriyaki. I was pretty satisfied with my choice, my coworkers not so much. My red curry beef had the regular stuff… Bamboo, basil, beef… I’d definitely order this again. It was good and I’m happy about the discount!
