A wonderful experience! Gorgeous location and delicious pizza. Not only do they make your pizza in an oven right outside on the farm, you can walk over and visit with the goats while you wait. Totally fun and adorable. Took dozens of pictures. The folks making the pizza were sweet. Picked up some cheese to go… YUM!

The people running it are absolutely wonderful and know me by name now(I’m pretty predictable about the many cheeses I buy!) No visit is complete unless I’m bringing home a LOT of their cheese! Visiting with the goats is always fun too! Go there. Get cheese. Enjoy.(Recommendation: Bring cash. They accept credit cards, but wireless service in that area is horrible. Cash just makes it easier for all.)

We drove past Seal Cove Farm on our way to Acadia National Park, and felt compelled to stop. I was drawn in by the goats romping in the pasture(and climbing on rocks! oh, goats!), but I think the other members of my party had goat cheese on their minds. And goat cheese there was! The retail area is just a tiny little thing(only barely fitting the four members of our party), but it has a surprising selection of goat cheeses, as well as some various meats, crackers, jams, salts, etc. We picked up some goat cheese with cranberries and goataroni(pepperoni of sorts, but made of goat) to take into the park with us, and it made a terrific lunch. We also picked up some bacon(not goat) that we sliced up for breakfast the next morning. If we hadn’t just had breakfast, we would have gotten some of the pizza they were firing in the hand-constructed stone pizza oven outside. Definitely take the time to talk to the owners of the farm — you’ll learn more about goats than you could imagine!
