Xtreme Tan

I got an airbrush spray-​tan at the Ellisville location and my experience was fantastic! I have only ever gotten a spray tan twice before in my life and every place seems to be a little different so I wasn’t totally sure of what to expect. At first I felt a little weird b/​c I had not brought underwear (usually you want to wear baggy clothes so that there are no clothing lines afterward, so I just skipped underwear after my pre-​tan shower and threw on baggy sweats)…anyway, they do not provide disposable underwear at Xtreme tan, so if you want to wear a thong or something, bring your own. I am not particularly modest but I did feel a little bad for Susie – having to spray-​tan me completely nude but she was extremely professional about everything, made me feel very comfortable, and not having underwear was not at all an issue. She asked how dark I wanted to be and I just said that I didn’t want to look orange or too dark/​fake. She basically just said to trust her with the color and she delivered 100%. With my past experience with spray tans the initial sight is shocking-​you look really dark and shiny before you are allowed to shower. Susie even said something to the effect of, «when you wake up in the morning or look in the mirror in a couple hours you are going to hate me b/​c you are going to look too dark, but trust me that will lighten up after the shower.» Well, I didn’t even think I looked all that bad 12 hours later, before I showered… the color was so even, it just looked like I got really good color from the sun, not fake looking at all. Well, after my shower it looked even better, like Susie promised. I am thrilled with the results of the airbrush and the process in general. The first airbrush is cheaper, at $ 20. It then goes to $ 30, which, after this experience, I would deem totally worth it.

I must say, this is a nice salon. Very clean and consistent. The girls that work there are friendly and always get me right in. They have great beds and the spray tan I had before I started tanning was the cheapest around, which was very nice! It’s in a great location for getting your tan in before or after the gym too.

I highly recommend this salon. Location is perfect, it’s always very clean and the staff is Amazing !!! I use the level 4 beds and Versa spa !!

Very clean, friendly tanning place. Next to the prices and beds themselves, the employees are what make it here. I can’t stand the tanning salons with employees who are trained to be salesmen with everything — it’s a huge turn off for me. The employees here didn’t make me feel uncomfortable and weren’t pushy about my choices the first time I came in. I don’t think they are overpriced. I have done the level 3 bed, and had great results.
Just an fyi — the address & map they have listed for the Ellisville location is wrong. I’m not sure if they moved recently or something, but It’s located at the corner of Clarkson & Clayton, a few doors down from Lifetime.

This place is awesome. They have the best deals by far. I paid double at other tanning salons. I use the level 4 and Versa Spa and they are both awesome! Defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great tan, staff and location.
