Came here in recommendation of a friend and doctor and also a like family member. The first 2 weeks, which is 2 classes a week and a free uniform for $ 25/ea student. I have to say, I was pretty iffy about this place. But unlike other places I’ve seen, this place the owner and also grand master is 100% Korean. So that got me to trust a bit more. The instructors, at first, I had doubts but as my kids continued with he two weeks and beyond, they were very nice. Master Nathan, instructor Como(sorry if I didn’t spell it right), Instructor Diane and instructor Yoon are great. I can see and tell by their body movements, posture, stance that it’s correct and they, of course knows what they are doing. Including Grand Master Park, those instructors are fun but also serious. They make classes fun and interesting. Not too strict not too serious but not too fun either. I little bit of everything so it balances out. After the 2 weeks trial you have the option to continue or not. I can choose between 1 yr or 3yrs, each is $ 135/per student. The 3yrs option is the Dan black belt. You get a 2nd uniform and the sparring items and nunchucks. Which is great. I got the one year option but Grand Master Park told me, I can switch them over to the 3yr choice. The 3yrs choice, u have to pay, I think 6 months of tuition in advanced. But he was kind enough to let us go 6 months of the reg one yr choice then we can switch over. Because then we would already have paid 6 months tuition. Thanks Grand Master Park! I highly re comment this place. Grand Master Park has 2 locations, on here and one in Big Bend.

Grandmaster Tae Hyen Park, owner of Parks Martial Arts, is an 8th degree, 8th Dan, Black Belt certified by the Kukkiwon in Korea and teaches every day of the work week at his two schools in St. Louis. Some of Grandmaster Park’s students have started their own schools. I have attended Park’s Martial Arts for 21 years now and achieved the rank of 4th Dan — a TaeKwondo Master, certified by the Kukkiwon, so has my son — he started 21 years ago at the age of 8. I have personally trained 8,000+ students during that time and I know everyone of them can easily defend themselves if they had to in any situation. I have attended 60+ Taekwondo competitions in the midwest and handed out thousands of trophies to winners of various events and Park’s Martial Arts students take an inordinately large number of 1st Place wins. In those 21 years at Parks I have watched 10+ Martial Arts schools in the area go out of business — you do not want to start your training at a school that hasn’t been in business at least 10 years. You want to stay with the same Grandmaster during all of your training. Grandmaster Park has promoted 10 Master Instructors who have trained with him for at least 15 years each; each started as a white-belt at his schools. Students at Parks range from 5 year olds to 70 year olds — there are specific kids classes that are fun for the kids while they learn how to defend themselves. There are adults only classes and full contact heavy duty classes taught only by Grandmaster Park. About 20% of our students are part of a family unit, brothers and sister, mom and dad and even grandpa. Taekwondo is a sport that the entire family can have fun learning as the kids grow up. Grandmaster Park is one of just a handful of Grandmasters in America that can train you from a white-belt to a 4th degree black belt — a Master Instructor. Grandmaster Park’s curriculum is 100% identical to that taught at the Kukkiwon in Korea — the only difference is that English is the primary language here instead of Korean. So if you want to be trained by a Korean Grandmaster who has built two thriving schools I invite you to drop by one of his schools and see for yourself — don’t just accept rumors on the internet — it takes just a few minutes to find out that Taekwondo taught by Grandmaster Park can change your life forever. Park’s Martial Arts became a family affair for my family – starting with my kids when they were in elementary school and Middle School. I was so impressed with, not only the physical skills they were learning, but also with the discipline and respect which was garnered by Grand Master Parks and all of the instructors. These positive traits have stayed with them as they have grown and headed off to college. As my kids attained their First Degree Black Belts, they encouraged(dared) their old mom to have a go. 4 ½ years later with the encouragement of Grand Master Parks, his wife, the instructors and fellow students, this old gal has lost 15 pounds, has tons more energy and brain power and is working towards her Third Degree Black Belt. Husband hopped on the band wagon too! Can not begin to tell you all the positive things Park’s Martial Arts has done for me…
