A Storage Inn

A Storage Inn is a terrific storage facility. It offers clean, secure units with outside access. It is not a climate controlled facility and isn’t priced as such. I am surprised at some reviews complaining about the metal walls sweating and conducting hot/​cold temperatures. ALL metal facilities will do this. If you are storing items that are not affected by this then you will be happy. If you have items that would be susceptible to mold, then a higher priced, indoor accessed climate controlled facility should be your choice. The management is very friendly and accommodating. After renting a unit for 8 years, I am a very happy customer.

The staff is friendly upon signing up and does respond to questions/​concerns. The units are clean and functional.
My issues are with the security and misleading charges… there is a gate, yes, but it is never closed — I have even visited after dark to find it open. The managers do live on premise and do daily walkthroughs, but for a gated facility, I expect a gate at most times.
Also, there is apparently a 5% annual increase in rent that was never explained or documented in any of the papers I received. I questioned this and got this response from management… «There must be a misunderstanding because ever year you will receive a 5% raise. Until reaches street rate.» I am not sure what «street rate» is since the cost is already in line with other facilities in the area which seem to have better security.
Overall, just average for the service provided.

Overall the staff is friendly and helpful. The place looks secure and the staff takes daily walks throughout the property just to make sure everything looks okay, which I like.
We visited the facility prior to rental to check out the storage unit and gather recon about prices and features. When we revisited to sign the contract, there was confusion because we were not going start the rental until the following month and were given a different price. In order to make good, they honored their previous offer and also offered a free rental for the second month, which was an appreciated gesture. Ideally the situation would have not happened, but I do like that they took responsibility and redeemed our business.
Overall it satisfies our storage unit needs. The prices are responsible and comparable to other facilities; the staff is friendly and less pushy than the competition.
