Stopped in for a quick bite to eat while passing thru. It’s a place where you choose a meat and three sides. The country fried steak was ok. I didn’t care for the mac & cheese at all. I did like the broccoli & cheese casserole a lot. My favorite was the peach cobbler. The place was clean and the staff was friendly.

Great country food at an affordable price! I had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Portion size was plenty, especially considering price. Great environment too! People were very friendly. Definitely worth the price!

Seem to be a hit-or-miss depending on what you get. We were in town and looking for some good, southern cooking and this looked like it would hit the spot. The fried chicken was quite good, as were several of the sides. Not mind-blowing good, but for the insanely low price, quite good. The country fried steak should not be served to non-time-serving folks. I could heat up a frozen piece of meat in the oven and make it taste better. Doubt I’ll ever be back in Ellijay again and the staff was super friendly and offered crazy low prices, but I wouldn’t go again.

«Meat and three» restaurants seem to be all the rage in Ellijay, but aside from the cheap prices — I can’t understand why. At least not at The Davis House. Three adults ate here for $ 17, which I recognize is a total steal, but a small piece of dry chicken and canned vegetables left me hungry for more. Why the second star then? The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly; however, it won’t be enough to bring me back.
