I really wanted to like it, but it is dingy and the service was terrible. It seemed It was inconvenient for the owner to take care of the only customer asking for coffee, the guy was super rude. I frequent this area often and visit the trattoria, the sushi place and subway, all owners in these 3 places are always there and super helpful and happy to see you, I will continue to walk by the coffee place, never, ever again.

Ordered the peppermint coffee at 9:30am today and it tasted like syrup so I asked to exchange for something more simple. The Asian guy behind the counter simply said«I didn’t recommend» I explained that it was my first time ordering at his shop and I am a new customer. He said the typical«sorry no refund no exchange» waist of $ 5 I should have went to Starbucks. Don’t waist your time here, this place SUCKSBALLS!

I stumbled into Casey’s Coffee and it was a pleasant surprise. It’s quiet and has some random books on the shelves. I got a veg sandwich and it was actually delicious. the sundried tomato pesto and the avocado paired perfectly

Comfortable, local app for a quick cuppa. Environment is warm and pleasant for conversation and coffee shop thinking. Service was pleasant. Did not get food. Did not need wifi, but understand other reviewer’s point. No other customers at the time we were there. That’s a cause for concern! I’d rather see a mediocre, locally-owned business thrive than another corporate coffee emporium.

The coffee is good and the owners are friendly. I had a sandwich here too and it was good.

I used to go here regularly, as I like supporting local businesses over a big chain coffee shop. They are extremely hit or miss, whenever the Korean woman is working I get great food and service; however, the Korean man gives terrible food and customer service! I’ve noticed when making my sandwiches, he always uses what appears to be old produce that are well past the end of their edible life. I’ve given him the benefit of the doubt and several second and third chances, yet he systematically gives me old lettuce and tomatoes etc which make the sandwich taste horrible. I witnessed him wipe the knife he was using to make my sandwich off on a piece of plastic that was sticking out of a trash can, he also will forget things from your order so double check before leaving. Three times now I’ve seen him snack on cucumbers while he was putting them on my sandwich. If the women is working 100% great place, but if it’s that man WALKOUT!

What kind of coffeeshop doesn’t have wifi at all? Ridiculous. Couldn’t even enjoy my coffee because I had to find a place to send a document. Will never go back.

Small coffee shop. The owner is kind of gruff; he’s not mean. The coffee is OK and I never had a problem with their service; however, there are better coffee options: Riverside, Lakeside, and Anna’s which all used to be a part of the Cosmic Coffee group.

I’m thankful to have a nice coffee shop in the neighborhood. I’ve only had a few lattes here, which are consistent in quality and pretty good. The owners are friendly and polite.

Family owned café that is pretty cute and quaint in its design. I like the ambiance of the place very much, but the drink that I had(Chai tea frappé) was a bit too icy and lacking of flavor.

Cute, family owed place with a nice atmosphere(books, art) and good coffee. Definitely not a chain but that’s a good thing!

I tried to stop in for coffee twice. They were closed, but their hours indicated they were open. I then stopped for a sandwich(huge light up sandwich sign outside) at 3pm. They said we have stopped making any sandwiches for the day. They closed at five. That is ridiculous, so while the menu looked good, I will never stop here again.

I’m so used to Starbucks that Frappes here do not compare. They cost about the same price, but it is definitely less quality drinks.

The coffee is decent but the specialty drinks are Starbucks priced without the quality control of Starbucks. I would rather drive a little further to know what I’m getting and the ambiance doesn’t quite make up for the drinks.

Long time customer. Great couple runs the place. Very efficient and everything is perfect. No fake«have a fantastic day! crap. Just efficient, fast, fresh, and professional. Each drink is done to perfection as is all the breakfast and lunch items. Nice to have a family owned local.

Caseys Coffee is a quiet little coffee shop in the Dorsey Search Village center. In a world where there are too many computers and high-tech gadgets, it is refreshing to see a little shop where you can go and read a good book in peace. The food is very good, although not earth shattering in it’s choices. I had the lox and cream cheese bagel which was wonderful. The egg and cheese and bacon or ham sandwiches are made while you wait using real eggs, ham/bacon, and cheese(not the pre-made stuff you see in many fast food places). What is particularly delightful is the fact that it is indeed a neighborhood coffeeshop where everyone knows each other and you always get a friendly smile. This is a wonderful place to get fresh food at a decent price, with a combination of neighborly camaraderie, great books to read(they are not for rent… the sign says), and an opportunity to reconnect with your children without the distraction of gadgets.

Iced chai tea was fine. Small seating area, quiet. Service is gruff and not the most inviting. A friend and I were having a quiet conversation and the hippie dude at the next table put Bose headphones on in an obvious way because we were apparently disturbing his reading. A bit of a vexing vibe.

I’ve been coming here since I was in high school(nine years). It’s a mom and pop shop… So it’s not going to be like Starbucks… If you want a place where u can get ur frappacino from a mix that has 1000 calories this isn’t the place for you. The owners are actually pleasant people and I’ve never gotten bad service, even when I first came here. This is my go to spot in ellicott city for coffee when I’m home(this is coming from someone who has lived in Los Angeles for the past three years). Give this place a chance– the coffee is good if you don’t want Starbucks burnt coffee and the owners are very nice… they just a little warming up I love this place.

It is coffee. I was not impressed or let down by the mediocrity. I do have to agree with another review, the service was hostile. Went in about an hour before closing and wanted a sandwich(long day without food) and a cup of coffee. The guy at the counter told me «We put away food, come back tomorrow»…really? being the only one there I would think dude would be thrilled with a customer that wants to buy something. Maybe it is just a money laundering store for the Yakuza?
