Pittman Towing

Recently my family broke down outside of Ellensburg. I called a local towing company that happened to be Pittman Towing. Andrew answered the phone, I explained the situation. At the moment I was thinking irrational just worried about my family. I asked how much it would cost to get towed all the way where I live (3 hours away). He gave me the price but then suggested that I get it towed to the nearest town, that I get it towed to a local auto shop that he personally recommend (Independent Auto Repair). Said the cost of getting it towed to town, get it fixed at the auto shop the next day (if the problem with the car was what we thought it was) and having my family stay in a hotel for a night or two would cost less than having it towed three hours away. In the end, I did exactly that. It was very late/​early in the morning and the shop was closed so Andrew towed the vehicle to the shop, dropped the keys in the drop box and called me in the morning for payment. In the end the auto shop was on it! Found the problem with the car and fixed it within 2 hours. Saving me from having to pay for another night at the hotel! I was very please with Andrew, I knew he was busy that night with many emergency calls but later found time to get our vehicle towed. I was also happy with a good recommendation. The cost of the towing was exactly what it should have been, hook up charge and cost per mile. No extra fees were added. When you are not local and don’t know the area it is very easy to be taken advantage of, in this situation Andrew was honest and professional. That is very appreciated in an unfortunate situation.

Very unclear about cost. Unprofessional. Did not even check wheather or not the car belonged to me (it did not, this was my girlfriends, pretty sure this was illegal to just unlock). Then change the price after unlocking the car. Went from we only except cash to credit is fine. After the price tripled. When writing a receipt the reason for the stop was not marked and he did not sign for the stop. Do not use this service.
