Curbside On 5th

Had an amazing experience at this cute little roadside sandwich shop. The owner was kind and personable. Also is very helpful and accommodating our children. My wife and I both had 1890 turkey sandwich and it was amazing! Self-​filling we almost couldn’t eat it all.

Curbside on 5^th is my favorite place to eat in Ellensburg! Everything is so tasty and decently healthy. I always look forward to eating there!

We got a chicken Thai salad, cup of salmon chowder and a wrap it with smoked chicken. everything was my h larger than expected and worth for he star rating. the homemade habenero sauce in the wrap it did not hold anything back but added so much flavor, splendid. The salad and chowder were equally as flavorful, I am not a fan of salmon chowder but I would order this all over again. Perfect stop on our way to Seattle, need some greats eat in Ellensburg then stop here, unless it is raining or cold because it is an outdoor place.

We passed through Ellensburg on our camping trip this weekend. We wanted a good meal before getting to camp and wandered around Ellensburg on Friday evening looking for a good place for a meal. We fortunately stubbled upon this small restaurant. They are working on getting seating, but we were happy to eat on the curb. We ordered a wrap and a chicken/​rice meal. Both were excellent. Ingredients were fresh, flavor was outstanding and the owners were incredibly thoughtful. There was a line when we got there — but it went quickly and the owners were very conscientious about getting us our food in a timely manner. This will now be on our route every time we drive through Ellensburg. Excellent!

In town for a choir event. Usually we are limited by «fast food row» right off the highway but this time I popped on Unilocal and found this place. It’s a small walk up food stand type place. Look carefully because you may miss it when you’re driving by but it’s WORTH finding! Friendly staff! Fresh and delicious food!
I had the blackened Coho sandwich (huge) with white cheddar. Moist, wonderful combination of crunch, spice, sauce and fresh local bread. Also had the Mac and cheese which was incredible. Not your traditional cheddar only with a crumb top, nope, this was unique and special. So much to say about it but I’ll suggest you try it for yourself.

This is probably one of the best places to get good food at a reasonable price. I had the amazing Turkey sandwich which was packed with not only turkey but flavor. Service is fast and friendly. Food is a great value. Will definitely be back here in the future!

Who knew such amazing food could come out of such a little building. I had the turkey sandwich, which was THE best turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. Packed with flavor and a lot of other stuff. I will be back.

Thank you Unilocal for introducing us to this amazing little place. We were passing through town on the way home from Seattle and decided to try it.
The only possible flaw was the lack of parking. We had to park in a potential tow-​away location. Didn’t get towed.
The people working there were very pleasant, the service and recommendations were spot-​on. The food? The food was AMAZING. We tried their seafood Italian soup –it had many tasty chunks of fish in a very flavorful sauce. The veggie sandwich was a great combination of veggies cooked to perfection. And best for last, the tri-​tip sandwich was simply amazing. It had a perfectly cooked and spiced steak worth of beef, a bit of cheese and lettuce. I will dream of this sandwich…

I got the Mac It with Cajun shrimp and vegetables. It was fantastic, the cheese and the macaroni were perfect and with the veggies and shrimp it added a nice twist. Next time I think I’ll get the macaroni and cheese by itself though. The grilled cheese sandwich with pico grilled in is really great as well. I’d highly recommend this place.

LOVE THIS PLACE! First of all, I love the convenient location, hours, pricing, and pragmatic approach to food service. I think this place has lasting power, which is a great thing considering the food is SO delicious!
Now, I live and work in a 5 block radius. So far I’ve tried a few things. The Mac & Cheese + vegetables is perfect on a rainy day. The vegetables are $ 1 more and add just a little something extra. They offer other ways to spice up your ‘cheese, but I don’t eat meat so I haven’t tried them. The shrimp looked and smelled delightful!
The Caesar salad was so good. Like… so good. So good that you’re kind of like «why am I thinking about a Caesar salad I ate several days ago? It was a salad??? Who feels this way about a salad???» But I did and I do and I am. I want that Caesar salad. Today. I think I will probably get one on Tuesday, because why not.
I tried a few bites of the primavera with Gorgonzola and WOW! Talk about a trip to Flavortown. It was so robust, the favors were so complex. It was something like $ 8. I’m telling you, you’d EASILY pay double or triple that price if you were getting that same dish in downtown Seattle.
Curbside on 5^th is fine dining quality at street food convenience and pricing. Why wouldn’t you just try it? You need to try it. Please try it. I need to know that I can get my Caesar salad for years to come.

This is a great spot for a quick bite of food. I’m a huge fan of the Mac It with chicken or shrimp. My wife can’t say enough good things about the Thai chicken salad.
If anyone is looking for fast quality food this is your place. The chef does an amazing job of putting together specials that will entice you to veer from your normal order.

I had a craving for a really delicious large salad for lunch and had heard some wonderful things about this place so I decided to check it out. I was greeted kindly and handed a menu. I looked at it and honestly was not over thrilled with the 2 choices but I asked if instead of shrimp if I could have chicken instead. Their response was «yes» and then was given two options. I chose the garlic chicken (super tasty) and then with two cups of caesar dressing it was just lovely. The reason I only gave it 4stars is the the lettuce wasn’t as fresh as I’d expected and it was pretty empty– chicken, lettuce, Parmesan. I would of liked the option to add more items to jazz up the large amount of lettuce. Maybe I’ll ask my next trip?
Overall a good experience and I plan to pop by again soon.

I had the opportunity to create the Unilocal!video for this restaurant and I must say, some of the best restaurant food I have had in a long time! Truly made with love! The Mac and Cheese is to die for and the 1890 is really yummy!

Don’t underestimate this place by how small it is. They have one of the best Mac and cheeses I’ve ever had. Looking at the menu it seems pricey for the experience, but the quality of the food is definitely worth it. The flavors and the freshness — YUM! A huge plus was that we only waited about two minutes for this deliciousness.

Such good on the go «street food» here in Ellensburg. The food is great quality and the type of selection they offer is freshing and satisfying. Places like these can make our downtown go from good to great.

Convenient location, good hours, friendly staff. The menu is diverse and uses fresh ingredients.
