Not worth it. Just ordered carry-out. Got the turkey sandwich with fries. The sandwich was soggy, the bread tasted stale very poorly made. How do you mess up a turkey sandwich? The fries were also extremely soggy. Not good… never has been.

This place used to be a restaurant that my friends and I loved. However, today we experienced the worst service that I have ever received at a restaurant. We didn’t wait anytime for a table however when we sat down a server didn’t show up to our table until 20 minutes later when the restaurant was pretty much empty. We finally got around to ordering our food after being there for 45 minutes. They were out of croissants which was pretty crazy since there was practically no one in the restaurant and we ordered the potato cake benedict which we were informed wasn’t available, this would’ve been nice to know while we were ordering but we were informed 20 minutes after we ordered. When the food came it was decent but not good, the banana nut pancakes were burned and tasted like a 5 year old made them. Then we got the check and there were so many problems with it. First we were charged for an ice tea, iced cappuccino(that we didn’t order– we ordered an iced coffee but that is something completely different from an iced cappuccino which costs a lot more) and were charged $ 7.30 for 2 pancakes with no sides just a la carte. It took not one, not two, but three people to fix our check. They argued with us about the price of the pancakes… I’m sorry but shitty pancakes are not worth $ 7 just because«the batter is different and it has a nut topping» the only topping we received was butter. So after arguing with the wait staff they finally fixed our check. I really wished I had called over the management but at that point I was tired and wanted to leave after being there for over 2 hours. In summary this place has THEWORST service and I recommend that if you are craving french food to go down the street to La Madeline because at least they care about their customers. I will never spend my money at this restaurant ever again. Also I created a Unilocal just to warn people what they are getting themselves into if they eat here. P. S. Would’ve given it zero stars if I had the option.

Very disappointed tonight. Baked brie appetizer was so overdone that there was no cheese left. The children’s peanut butter crepes were so thin that they could not pick them up. The fries were burned. The adult entrée order was placed at 528 when restaurant was half empty. However, we had to get them to go at 620 ish when they had not been delivered to the table When I asked to speak to manager, I was told she was working in the kitchen. This restaurant will go under based upon this type of poor service. Very very disappointed in service and quality of the food. Expect much more for the price!’

I’ve been here quite a few times for lunch, brunch, and dinner. My most recent dinner visit, I had the Brie, Apple, and turkey croissant with the tomato basil soup. I love love the soup, it reminds me of Panera’s soup just the perfect amount of cream. Service was fine, however they did seem a bit short staffed at 8pm on a Saturday I assume they let everyone go home as it was not busy. Not sure if there’s any underlying meaning behind not being busy on a Saturday night… But I’ve been here for brunch a few months back and it was packed and delicious! I would recommend any of their bread products, sandwiches and brunch items all have been consistently good on several occasions.

Have eaten here many times and I’ve always liked the food. The service is usually good but when they are busy the staffing can be short and the service quality can suffer. My last visit this week was good. The service was good and the food. I did see some cosmetic maintenance issues that they should take care of. Hope it’s not a sign of decreasing revenue.

I am so surprised by the negative reviews! So I went on a Sunday morning around 10:30 so yeah it was busy. They told me 10 – 15 minute wait and we were seated in closer to 10 minutes. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast with scrambled eggs and pork sausage. Oh my gosh, that French toast was AMAZING. My husband got the Apple & Bacon waffles and boy was I jealous! What an interesting yet delicious combo. I will be returning and will get that! We also ordered a cinnamon roll for an appetizer which was so good and warm. Apparently the muffins are really good – we signed up for their email club and got 4 free to take home. They look & smell amazing so we’ll see. The service was on the slow side, but she was friendly at least. It was definitely busy and probably understaffed but I still thought it was worth going and I would definitely go again for a unique brunch experience!

Ill add pictures of the food. Food: good to great. People: usually really good to us and awesome on occasion. Facility: nice with… Design. Carpets could use a clean, most places can. We have been to many Mimi’s before and this one is up there with the best. What makes this place«appear to be» five stars? See my last restaurant review.

The bartender that makes margaritas wasn’t there, so no margaritas. They were ran out of Corona because Mexican«is not their forte», yet it’s . and it’s their draft beer. Oh, and they ran out of fries and almost killed the lady next to us with her tomato allergy. This is awesome!

I always have enjoyed MiMi’s breakfast menu but I had not been for a long while until a co-worker invited a few people to meet there for breakfast. It was during the week and there was no one in there so we were able to get seated right away. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered breakfast tacos. There were filling and delicious. I have absolutely no complaints other than I was not able to enjoy a mimosa since I had to return to work.

The worst part of my experience at Mimi’s was the service. My boyfriend and I went in for lunch on a weekday… The place was practically empty. Yet we waited 15 minutes for a table! The hostess said it would be five and then just disappeared! Not a great way to start… Our waitress looked like she was barely out of high school(if she happened to actually graduate) and was inattentive, slow, and acted like she would rather be anywhere else but there! I had to laugh when we were clearly ready to order and she decided to clean the table across from us… Very slowly… Until she remembered that she had a table waiting. The food wasn’t bad honestly. I had a chicken salad sandwich with corn chowder. The soup was good. The chicken salad was a little dark looking… But if I didn’t look at it, it tasted good. My boyfriend wasn’t as satisfied– he had French onion soup, a burger, and Caesar salad. He said that the cheese on his soup hadn’t been cooked fully so it was very rubbery, his burger was a mess to eat on the little slice of bread he was given, and he had never tasted anything like the croutons on his salad which he guessed was just crumbled bread crumbs. It wasn’t overly expensive– average pay for average food. It’s nothing to get excited about. I might go back… Maybe just to see the disaster of the staff. Eh… Then again, probably not worth it.

A generic American restaurant, easily accessible off of 95 and a convenient point between B-more and DC. It as a pleasant space to eat in and we got an engaging server and had a nice time. The shopping center, however, is poorly designed, awkwardly funneling traffic into one downhill road that causes needless backups. The crepes I ended up with were competently executed. They said strawberry and banana and did not skimp on either, or on the Nutella; if anything, the crêpe itself was the weakest link. It seemed odd to get a side of potatoes with crepes, but they were tasty enough. No special love here for special dietary needs, but ultimately, an average place.

Mimi’s is located in a business park at the corner of 175&108 in Elkridge. I was looking for something for breakfast but they have food all day. They have an on-line order system for pick-up orders, but I was disappointed to see that there was no way to substitute different breads or customize your order. I only wanted a breakfast sandwich, but all they had on the menu was a fried egg sandwich with tomato and bacon on a croissant. It was tasty but huge, making it difficult to eat, especially as greasy as the croissant turned out to be. The restaurant is lovely inside, but the restaurant was absolutely dead at 7:30AM on a weekday morning, making me wonder how much take-out they actually do.

Our waiter was friendly and was attentive at first but that faded as soon as our food came. It took us forever to get his attention to get our check. Looked like the table next to us was having same issue but with different waiter though. I think they can work on the«quality» of their employees. I still like the look and feel of the place but I don’t know if it’s worth all the other downfalls. I ordered Apple and Bacon Waffles and it was ok. It had too much syrup on the waffles so some of the bites I took were too sweet. They should have had it on the side. When I looked at the menu description online to write this review, I realized that I’ve been RIPPEDOFF. The description reads, «Green apples, hickory-smoked bacon and a hint of orange zest. Comes with two eggs served any style, mixed fruit and your choice of hickory-smoked bacon, pork or turkey sausage, or hickory-smoked ham» but all I got was the waffles topped with bits of bacon and apple pieces and ton of syrup drizzled on top. NO eggs, NO fruits and NO meats! Our waiter obviously didn’t know the menu and I have no idea why the menu at the restaurant isn’t written the same way as online with extra sides that’s included WITHIN the item description. Really annoyed with this place… not sure if I’ll go back again.

I was initially going to give this place 3 stars since I found the food to be a bit lackluster(and ultra greasy) and there was something that tasted really off about one part of my meal, but due to the excellent service and the management’s effort to make our experience right, I am upping this to 4 stars. I’d visited Mimi’s Café previously in California. My fiancé and I recently visited the MD location(near Columbia, MD) on a road trip up to New Jersey. We happened to be hungry and there was nothing else in sight so we decided to do a quick sit-down lunch at Mimi’s before continuing on our trip. We both ordered burgers — the Hickory Bacon Cheddar Burger for me(on a toasted brioche bun with hickory-smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, barbeque sauce, lettuce, pickles and golden buttermilk onion strings) with a house salad on the side, and the Hand-made Guacamole burger(With hand-mixed Hass avocado guacamole on a toasted brioche bun with Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and red onions) with hand-cut Idaho Russet fries for my fiancé. The burgers were decent, though extremely greasy, especially on the top of the bun! There was grease just oozing from the bun, which was a bit unappetizing. My fiancé enjoyed his fries, but my house salad tasted soapy and gross. I brought up the fact that my salad tasted off to our waitress. She was very nice about it and the manager came over and apologized and brought out fries instead. She also gave us a complimentary box of blueberry muffins, which were still supremely fresh when we had them for breakfast the next morning! I think the way they dealt with the salad situation was very professional and classy. Service was excellent throughout and our waitress was very nice and helpful. I also love the ambiance of the restaurant — it’s very New Orleans and I loved the true-to-theme décor! I would absolutely stop at Mimi’s Café if our route takes us in that direction in the future and definitely recommend it.

my family and my brother’s in-laws decided to meet here for new year’s eve dinner. good thing we booked a table early b/c we were able to be seated at a table for 8 by the window in a corner, where it was a bit quieter. to start, we ordered a bottle of riesling so that we could toast for the new year. it was crisp and sweet, just the way my hubby and i like our wine! i ordered a bowl of tomato basil soup to start, which was piping hot, and went down very nicely, especially on such a frigidly cold day. nothing beats tomato soup with a sprinkling of basil! for my main, i ordered chicken and brie with diced carrots and brown rice. this was one of mimi’s french-inspired dishes, adding brie cheese to chicken breast, and a helping of cream sauce. it was a bit too much cheese and cream sauce for me, but i liked the overall taste as this was unique to me, not something i would normally make at home. they were quite generous with the carrots, which were also tender and still juicy. the rice definitely helped cut some of the saltiness from the chicken and veggies. despite the fact that it was new year’s eve and most of the restaurant was pretty packed, our service was quite good that evening as our waiter was attentive in clearing our plates and refilling our water glasses as needed. this is definitely one of my preferred restaurants to dine at when i’m back in maryland since i enjoy their comfort american food with a french twist. note that they do serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and have a nice selection of desserts, so there is something for everyone here!

First off the place is beautiful, very laid out very comfortable if what you are looking for a nice place… this is the place. IFYOUARELOOKINGFORFOODTHISNOTTHEPLACE. Decided to go there for an early morning breakfast and the food was nothing short of terrible. First the Café Latte, was more milk than anything. Something as simple as a glass of water for some reason was too much of a task for them to pull off easily. The water tasted more like flat sprite. The crêpe was a horrible looking mess. You might think pancakes could be done well… nope…You would be wrong. So I called the waiter over and told him the please get a supervisor The supervisor came, I showed them the burnt food and told him that I was not going to pay The Manager came and I showed the mana ger, even asked to her taste the«SPRITE»(water) The Manger brought with here another manager at this point I was losing track of who the manger was and again I showed this new manager the burnt food, the horrible fecal colored crêpe. The new manager looked at the empty plate of eggs and say«Well the eggs much of tasted good because you ate those huh» I then told her«you know what, just please give me my check I will not return,» As I’m standing up… putting on my jacket to leave… the New Manger says«Well you can leave since you aren’t going to pay» My answer«Do you not see my putting on my coat to leave… go away»

For the price point, this was simply mediocre at best. If it had been a little cheaper(okay, a LOT cheaper), the rating would have vaulted upward by a considerable amount. But the value for money was definitely not here. I’d read about this place quite a bit, but I didn’t expect it to be as nice looking on the inside as it was. I don’t quite know what I’d had in mind — a cafeteria, maybe — but this wasn’t it. It was actually quite cozy — lots of French-accented themes and European styled furnishings. Not bad, so far. We had a bit of a wait(Sunday brunch, after all), but after about 20 minutes, we finally had a seat and had a chance to peruse menus. Hubs ordered a grilled salmon filet with frites, while I had the steak and egg platter. While the food wasn’t bad(and, actually, it was quite tasty, at least mine was), there were a couple of things that went awry that were noticeable — — Hubs’s salmon was REALLY dry. I mean bone-dry. It tasted great, but it… needed something, and we’re both not quite sure of what. Perhaps some sauce, like hollandaise or something. This wasn’t a «low calorie» meal, nor was it intended to be one, so we’re not sure of why the filet was dry like that. I thought it tasted fine, but it really put Hubs right off. — I asked for my steak medium-rare. Now, I don’t know what their definition of medium-rare is, but it came out positively bloody. Fortunately for them, I like rare steak, so I ate it anyway, and yes, it was quite good. But this would be a point of serious contention for anyone else, I can assure you. — Coffee was uneven. I had three cups — the first and third were so bitter that it left a very unpleasant aftertaste. The second cup, oddly, was DIVINE. I don’t understand it, but there you have it. We ordered a triple something-or-another bread pudding with caramel sauce. Now THAT was good. Creamy, gooey, sweet, and a diabetic’s worst nightmare. Delicious. Service was fine. Can’t remember the server’s name, it was a long, uncommon name beginning with a G, but he was really nice. If you see a young African-American gentleman at your table with that long name, you’re in luck. He took care of us nicely. In the end, however, we spent 61 dollars(including tip) for brunch, and neither of us can justify our experience there for that much. I’d be much more inclined to come back than Hubs — that salmon really didn’t sit well with him, I’m afraid. Give it a try if you’re so inclined, but be aware that it’s pricy and you may feel kind of ripped off by the end of the meal.

Before coming to this location, I literally hadn’t been to MImi’s in about 10 years. The last one I went to was in Florida. I always remembered the great breakfast? brunch options so I invited a friend out to join me. We weren’t disappointed. The service was great and the food was good. The caramel apple bread pudding was delicious. If you want fresh eggs, crispy bacon, or sweet breakfast treats, this is an option.
